The cleanliness, the spacious rooms and the crazy attention to detail and hospitality the ITC Staff has to offer is unmatched. I will chose Sonar over any hotel in Kolkata any day. It is centrally located to pretty much every place. Not too far from the airport and the food and restaurants on the property are just fabulous. Great amenities, pool and a fitness centre as well, we took a lot of walks around the lily pools every morning here.

The overall reception and care shown by the employees of the hotel, the personal attention provided, the recommendations made by the concierge. I just loved the fact that the hotel packed a breakfast for me and my family since I was checking out very early.

the carpets in the rooms should be cleaned. I understand that heavy monsoons create its problems, but a hotel should make sure the carpets and walls are kept clean always.

The breakfast was very good. The food in the Pavilion was excellent. Particularly, the Chicken tikka and Kasundi prawn as well as cold coffee are exceptional!! I would recommend that to everyone. The Indian world cup team was staying there at the same time as us and I really appreciate the security and crowd management executed by the hotel. It was flawless. It is a difficult balance to maintain when you are protecting the team and being trying to be polite and keep in-house guests in check.

I stayed in the executive suite which was a bit disappointing in size. But more importantly, the tv was very small, and no variety of channels. The TV should have been at least a smart tv with OTT access in this day and age.

Had a short comfortable stay at ITC Sonar. The staff were friendly and professional. The food was delicious at the hotel.

Only the common spaces of the hotel have been renovated but not the entire hotel. It would have been helpful if the hotel disclosed the information. The rooms have not been renovated and requires significant upgrade if they are advertising as world-class service.

The hotel is very luxurious. It is located in the midst of all the hustle, yet within its building confines, it feels calm and peaceful. Great hotel for family with young kids. There is a fish pond, and they provide fish food if you'd like to feed them. There are also some cute ducks hanging around the pond. Their breakfast buffet was OK. I was expecting more local Bengali dishes. There were so many South Indian dishes that I felt I was in ITC Chennai not Kolkata. This is one suggestion, please make Bengali cuisine the star of your breakfast buffet. The buffet spread is a little limited compared to other 5 star hotels we've visited around the world. The lunch buffet was limited too so we opted for the much larger buffet at the Royal Bengal. The two hotels are interconnected so can just walk down. Overall a great experience. The staff is courteous especially the gate guards always ready to open the car door for you and greet you with a namaste. Just one thing I thought would be worth mentioning, we had asked for a late check out and it was promptly confirmed but we still got calls post that asking us to check out at the original time. Might need to improve internal staff communication. Overall it was a fantastic experience.I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

The breakfast was very good. Very good restaurants for lunch and dinner. The natural environment in the hotel was a wonderful experience. Restaurant team made us feel very welcomed and gave excellent service specially Akthar & Ali. At the dinner Akthar advised us for a very delicious menu.

Inspite of requesting Hardbed and Nice view in my online booking notes, I was assigned almost closed view by tree and soft bed which is sinking. My friends with kids were given smoking rooms, However, after two nights of stay, we were moved to another New premise which really amazing, we could not enjoy that place as the following morning we have had to leave.

I was inhouse guest from 15th April, 2023 to 18th April, 2023. On 15th April when I went to have lunch in the pavillion with 2 of my guests, I was asked whether I have booked a table. On my replying in negative I was told that they are sold. It was disgusting to know that. Does the hotel has a policy to keep the inhouse guests of the hotel hungry in liew of of serving food to outsiders and making some quick bucks ?? The inhouse guests, can not be denied entry in the hotel restaurant. There was no notice displayed that due to rush of Poila Baisakh, even the inhouse guests are also required to book table in advance.

The room, service, amenities, property, staffs all were amazing.

The receptionist who proceed the check in was not efficient and took a very long time to give the room also was not able to find smoking room nd then ask charge for smoking room as he would upgrade it. Staffs who were assisting in breakfast could have been better, I feel they were not giving attention to all guests
