This was our third stay at the Maidens this year, and each time it has been amazing: we still think it is the best hotel we ever stayed at in our 40+ years of global travel, with thousands of hotel nights in 50-odd countries. We actually decided to stop over in Delhi on our way to Australia specifically to stay at the Maidens for some days, just to have the experience once again: it's that kind of really unique and special place! Right in the middle of bustling Delhi, there's this oasis of calm, with quiet gardens and mature trees, where peacocks and squirrels roam, and traffic noise is far away. The hotel was built as a luxury hotel in 1903, and been in use as such ever since. And today, 120 years later, it still magically exudes the atmosphere of that historic past. We just love coming back each time, that feeling of "coming home" we experience here and nowhere else: because the place still largely looks like it did in 1903 (the photos prove it), but it's otherwise an amazingly modern five-star hotel. And with an incredible team managing it: and that makes this place so special, and adds so much to the experience, beyond the historic element. We had another great reception when we arrived this time, with Prachi, the Hotel Manager, personally taking care of us and ensuring our stay was yet again amazing. We got our favourite room, and enjoyed every minute of our time there. The restaurant has this great variety of delicious dishes on the menu (Western, Asian, Indian), and thanks to the two chefs and their team, we loved having dinner there each night, as always. Overall and in every respect, this remains our favourite hotel in the world. It's just beautiful, and in a way you won't find anywhere else. Stay here if you can: it's a unique experience.

Our week-long stay at the iconic Maidens Hotel in New Delhi was nothing short of extraordinary. This heritage property effortlessly combines old-world charm with exceptional service, making it the perfect setting for a memorable getaway. The highlight was the beautifully curated New Year’s Eve celebration, which captured the spirit of the season with elegance and warmth. A special thanks to Deepika, the Front Office Manager, whose thoughtful attention to detail and genuine hospitality went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. Maidens Hotel is a true gem, blending history, charm, and world-class service seamlessly.
Our stay was overall fabulous, maybe the food could be improved a bit, but just across the corner there’s a fine Indian dine so we didn’t find this as an issue

The service was exemplary; nothing was too much trouble; everyone was so helpful and kind. Thank you especially to Alful at reception, Mukesh who ran the very good restaurants and bar, and chef Jashan for your kindness and excellent food - and all the rest of the team, you all helped to make our stay very special. We were lucky enough to be there for the New Year's gala dinner which was stylish and brilliantly organised; this typifies the Maidens' ambiance. The swimming pool is a delight: 20 metres long; warm and set in a lush green setting. The hotel is also very near the Civil Lines metro, which is a cheap and convenient - and relatively calm - way of exploring this hectic city, as well as the row of interesting local restaurants next to the metro station itself, which provide other useful dining options. It is a period property and has a distinctly old fashioned feel. Flashy it most certainly isn't; calm, caring and grown-up it most certainly is. And it most certainly made our introduction to our trip to India a happily memorable one. We highly recommend.

What was there not to like. This has to be by far the best hotel I have stayed in when it comes to service. The building itself is stunning and the rooms spacious and well presented. It is a beautiful place. The breakfast offering was truly impressive with the chef checking what you would like and making to order. Our evening meal was delicious and the bar a cute cafe like room off to one side. The only thing missing was a room filled with books, comfy chairs and a roaring fire! Everything was all you could want it to be - however, the gem in the crown was the staff. I have never had such perfect service - attentive yet not over bearing, professional yet so welcoming and friendly, helpful with a genuine smile. All the staff in all roles had this wonderful attitude that made our stay truly amazing and one to remember.
There is nothing that comes to mind that I'd advise travellers against. Whilst there we spoke to other guests who shared our experience and also told of their own stories of how the hotel staff had helped them in generous and kind ways.

From the moment I walked into the hotel, I was warmly greeted by a doorman with a mustache, and the refreshing rose water offered at check-in set a wonderful tone for my visit. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a lovely shower and plenty of complimentary drinking water. I was also impressed by the delicious breakfast, which offered a wide variety of food and beverages, with some items made to order hot and fresh. The breakfast was so delightful that it made me excited to start each day, eager to enjoy both the delicious food and the warm smiles that greeted me The restaurant staff were exceptionally attentive, well-mannered, and friendly, always eager to ensure a positive experience. This same level of service was evident across all departments especially with the Executive Housekeeper, her exceptional service left a lasting impression on me, and I cannot express enough how grateful I am for her attention and assistance. The gym was well-maintained and clean, and I felt safe there, knowing security was always present just outside the gate. Additionally, I appreciated the thoughtful evening check-ins by housekeeping, offering any assistance I may have needed, which demonstrated the hotel's genuine care for its guests. The hotel is only 5 minutes walk to the Civil Line metro station, restaurants, hospital, and convenience stores. Maiden Hotel will always be my sanctuary away from home, and I will wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Delhi.

The room was exceptional, it felt like a "home away from home." The breakfast was good, though the Indian cuisine was superb. The staff at the Garden Terrace restaurant especially Devesh were simply outstanding, engaging but discrete and extremely courteous. No request was an issue for the restaurant staff. The staff at the Curzon Room were attentive and helpful, especially Ms. Servina. Housekeeping under Deepa Dhami was excellent. The hotel is well managed under the leadership of the GM Prachi Sati, it shows with a well organised team who provide excellent service. We will definitely return and I encourage others to visit.

This hotel is an oasis of calm and yesteryear charm in the middle of the chaos that is Delhi. The staff are incredible - highly professional, attentive and kind. The food in the restaurant was delicious and they asked us if we would like to add extra spice - they returned the dishes to the chef to increase the heat when we said yes. The price of food was very reasonable and the wine/gin was on a par with Australia although it feels expensive as everything else over here is so cheap. The room was immaculate everyday and the housekeeper left us a beautiful gift each. This truly is a unique and very beautiful place to stay.
The room would benefit from a power point near a mirror for ladies who like to straighten their hair and some extra light in the bathroom would be great. But these are small things as the whole experience was amazing.

The courteous well dressed staff super efficient management. Good drivers. Good location. Metro nearby and chandi chowk bazaar, red fort etc. good breakfast and very comfortable rooms with excellent hot showers. The swimming pool area was lovely and changing rooms spotless. Retains its history which is nice. It is not a bling bling property but makes you feel you are in India.
The Bar was very small and had uncomfortable chairs. It was like sitting in a cafe although the bar itself was good. Not welcoming atmosphere. The dining area for breakfast was again very small given the size of the property. The Indian restaurant had excellent food but again the decor was a bit cold. A lot of white walls. The decor could have been more Indian and a bit warmer looking. Again given the size of the property we expected several comfy lounges to wander around in for tea or a drink and more garden space accessible for sitting in. We felt a bit squashed in.

The room was outstanding, larger than expected. We arrive early hours in the morning, but the Managers & senior staff made themselves acquainted as soon as possible. All the staff remembered our names and were highly attentive throughout our entire stay. Nothing was too much trouble for them and we felt they genuinely liked to please. The Hotel is a heritage building from a bygone era, adding a touch of nostalgia & romance with peacocks parading in the extensive tropical gardens.
There was nothing I didn’t like.

Calming and comforting this is how I will describe my stay at the Maidens. The pool area is very clean, elegant, it feels like an oasis, peaceful, relaxing , surrounded by beautiful grounds and a majestic peacock, birds, few monkeys.Staff friendly and attentive, ( special at pool where we spent most of time on our stay) . Food was delicious , the complimentary water bottles in the room and by the pool it was very nice touch . Very generous, great hospitality in Oberoi Group.
There’s nothing to complain about hotel .The service and my overall experience was 10 out 10 . A little recommendation for the suite rooms some diffusers with some aromatic scent or essential oils would help with the humidity smell , it’s understandable because of the Tropical monsoon climate and the old historical building .
