The place was fabulous. What a great place to relax and recuperate. we will definitely be back. The staff are wonderful and friendly. The villa rooms are cosy and clean and very romantic. Hidden paradise is the right name for this place. Big thank you.

Please buy some pillow top mattresses. The existing mattress was so tough I didn't sleep well. Another suggestion would be to see some live music at dinnertime or after.

The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs, they were phenomenal. The pool and surrounding views were breathtaking and we were very happy with our room and it's views. Would absolutely recommend, it is perfect for visiting Mine Ijen and the blue flame, and you will be hard pushed to find a more stunning location for a hotel.

A cash machine at the hotel would be helpful. We could not find a cash machine any where in Java, not even in Surabaya. Very frustrating and meant that local businesses that didn't take card missed out on sales. Especially when we climbed mount Ijen and couldn't buy anything from the hardcore miners who work in the worst conditions and are down in the crater selling their sulfur carvings.

The property gives you a Bali vibe and you are instantly taken in up the amount of openness in the property. Lush green field, mountain in the distance, a stream running by are just some of the things that just cozy you up during your stay here. Rooms are neatly done and spaced out. Restaurant serves a good selection and delicious food. Balinese massage was good. Start point of the ijen trek is less than an hour away. Has a open bathroom which may not be to everyone' liking especially due to the tropical setup and presence of insects and frog but I enjoyed it.

Lovely hotel - beautiful views over rice terraces and excellent pool. Friendly service and excellent juice to have poolside! Rooms comfortable, outside bathroom fun and spacious. Restaurant well priced, nice food - slightly eclectic menu! Hotel about an hour from Ijen climb start point. We left at 2am (!) and they very kindly staffed desk to allow us to check-out and gave us a packed breakfast.

A minor point - but the resort was slightly less environmentally conscious than some of other hotels. Plastic water bottles and plastic straws could have been replaced with glass bottles and bamboo straws for example. This did not negatively impact our stay at all - we still give it a 10!

Very beautiful resort with epic view of the rice fields and mountains. We got upgraded to Junior Suite and it was so spacious with a lovely terrace. Our room got a smart TV with streaming apps, and the bed was so comfy. Breakfast was included and came with a bread basket, cut fruits and juices, and a la carte meals you can choose from. I particularly loved the fried rice with fried chicken (unusually delicious for hotel style!).

Not a negative point exactly but the location is quite far from anywhere (about an hour drive from ferry port and town centre). It should be a secluded, serene stay in the middle of nowhere but unfortunately when we came there was a wedding in a village nearby and music was blasting for 2 nights. Just a bad luck.

Location location location. You really come here for your rest. Amazing garden and pool. Spacious room/suite. Lovely staff that helped us with booking transport and Ijen tour.

Restaurant has a lot of opportunity. Quality of the food was not always good, Warung close nearby is a good (and cheaper) alternative. Service was good and people are lovely. However, service could be more pro-active. Good for guest but also for the restaurant itself. Suite..we thought we booked a suite with mountain view. But because of clouds we only discovered the last day that the view was just garden. The suites with mountain view were somewhere else. All comments are no dealbreakers, but more explaination why we do not give it a 10-rating.

We spent 3 nights here in January 2025 and were kindly upgraded to a suite overlooking the mountains and rice paddy fields. The property is immaculately maintained and we found it a beautiful place to unwind after visiting the Ijen crater. The staff at Reception easily arranged transfers for us. We enjoyed our meals at their restaurant and the staff were charming. Highly recommend.

We would have loved a reading light by our bed but that's us being super fussy. The place is amazing as is.

We stayed at this resort 9 years ago and fell in love with the remoteness and beautiful surroundings. We brought our father and our kids here to spend 6 nights and we loved every moment of it . Even the gecko who make funny noises at night was just another uniqueness of this place . The staffs are exceptional . Love the view from our suites and the staffs goes above and beyond to all our requests . Even with the food they are flexible with our requests .

Perhaps should be a little more wheelchair friendly . We brought our 94 years old father , fortunately he can walk some but climbing the stairs to the reception area can be a challenge

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The views and surroundings were breathtaking. Worth the stay for this alone. The breakfast options were generous.

The food in the restaurant was not great, but given the remoteness there is no choice. The dishes felt a bit too sweet or very far from what is advertised. I ordered a juice which tasted more dilute than squash.

Spectacular location, set in lush tropical gardens, my beautiful villa overlooked the rice terraces, coconut palm trees, banana plantations and volcanos. It was a real pleasure to sit and enjoy a coffee on my private terrace overlooking the magnificent tropical landscape. This beautiful hotel is truly hidden. You have to drive through little villages and tropical surroundings to arrive at the hotel. A truly natural place to stay, the open-air restaurant and swimming both overlook the rice terraces. My villa was spacious and tastefully decorated in Javanese style, #janetstravelstyle
