Our stay at Pondok was totally amazing! It was an amazing family-feeling there, with the wonderful staff who really helped us feeling so welcome. Except we really enjoyed our time with the staff in general (they are really funny and warm) they also helped us getting a guide to see the sorroundings in the beautiful village Senaru and never hesitated to offer us help. We really liked the food as well (especially the fried noodles), breakfast was included and a lot of different things to choose from. And last but not least, the VIEW and location was outstanding! From the pool area and resturant you could see the Rinjani mountain, rice fields and the rest of the djungle. Very good AC, good shower, comfy beds, very clean and fresh pool.

We had some insects in our room, but that is really just what you have to expect when you live in the djungle.

The staff were very welcoming, the room comfortable including excellent hot shower. The pool with Mt Rinjani in the background was beautiful. The food was better than a more expensive restaurant up the road. And everything so affordable! Our 1 day panorama trek with Rinjani women adventure was brilliant. (Office across the road) Four of us went (2 couples) and thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend. 10 out of 10 for Pondok Guru cottages. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Maybe the service a bit slow with the food but not such a drama when on holidays.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The villa rooms are large, big bed, shower room with plentiful hot water and tea/coffee facilities. The views of Mount Rinjani are stunning. The pool is clean, also with awesome views. The on site restaurant food was freshly cooked and tasty. The staff were helpful and willing with constant smiles. Transfers were reasonable and reliable. Overall great value for money. Close to warungs and tour offices. Highly recommend.

Nothing of note. The pink paint wasn't to our taste and the lighting was rather dim - however everything worked well.

Such a lovely family run place, the gardens and pool is spectacular, with an amazing view of the jungle valley, rice paddies and Rinjani. Was the perfect place to chill out after we finished hiking up Rinjani, staff were all very friendly and a heap of yum options in the included breakfast. Rooms are quirky, with a big bathroom and lovely balcony sitting area. Lots of birds and monkeys to watch amongst the frangipanis and other tropical flowers. Great location, 5-10 minute walk to other warungs and start of waterfall walks. Senaru is a beautiful town.

Super helpful people working there, who provide a welcoming vibe. Good food and great view frrom the eating/pool area and some rooms. The more expensive rooms are very nice, the other rooms are looking a bit old but ok for the price. Good parking. Rooms had a little porch/outside area to sit in, though chairs were really uncomfortable. Convenient location for nearby waterfalls. Tiu Kelep waterfall was an easy 45 minute walk from waterfalls entrance gate 1, using paths on mapsme (google maps no good). We were two sixty two year olds, not athletes, and it was easy without a guide. You need to wade the river twice. It was not even knee deep, despite recent rain. Having a stick was handy for that.

Wifi is not strong in the room. Did not like having to pay for room in full, several days in advance.

The pool, the view is totally stunning, the staff are lovely, the hot shower was welcome and great they have such a fabulous in-house guide for the panorama walk-Macho (spelling?).

The rooms decor seems a little dated. We are travelling as a family of 3 and I couldn’t book for an extra child bed on booking.com. Therefore we booked a second room making the stay more expensive than we would have liked. When we arrived we found one of the rooms was for 3 people. We would have appreciated it if this was clear on booking.com.

🚕 The hotel offers a wonderful transportation service! Just asked them out necessity and they organized everything! :) 🛏 Hotel STUNNING! The rooms are very big and with all what you need! AC in the room, big bathroom with hot water! Bed super comfortable! ✅️ What impressed us more is the outside part, the infinity pool is incredible! I would say the best swimming pool I have ever been in my life! The view on the forest and rice fields is fantastic! 🏊‍♂️ 😌 The hotel is literally less than 10 minutes walking from the waterfall! Perfect location! ⛲️ Moreover, one morning, we woke up, and we had a family of monkeys outside our room! Very nice :) 🐒 🥪🥣 Breakfast is delicious (and included in the price)! The chef is very good! We had almost each Breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel due to it quality! Highly suggested vegetables fried rice! :) 🔴 To conclude, we are very satisfied! The services offered is amazing! From the quality of the food, wonderful room in the middle of the jungle, stunning swimming pool and very kind stuff based on a family business! 🔝

The location is great for going to the nearby waterfalls as well as having an amazing view of Mt Rinjini. The rooms are good sized, have AC, the breakfast is made to order and tasty, and the staff is friendly. The host goes out of his way to assist you with transportation or activities you may want to do. There is a bit of a mark up but makes it convenient to have one source to take care of it all.

While the room is large it is a little dated as is the bathroom but with all the beauty outside you won't be in it much.

Nice pool with view on mount Rinjani, good choice for breakfast, staff is okay, walking distance from two famous waterfalls, despite some minor things we didn’t like it’s still goof value for the money you pay.

Staff and service is really slow (waited over 20 minutes to get fresh juice while there was no one else in the restaurant), only 1 or 2 people speak decent english, they do not rent scooters and only said ‘it’s very hard’ instead of maybe try and helping us getting one. We asked around on the street and got more help there than from them. Not their fault I guess but since they advertise it as a ‘we’re your family’ kind of stay, we didn’t really feel they put any extra effort into making this statement true. Toilet and sink in the bathroom weren’t attached to anything and were quite wobbly, also the sink was dirty and outdated.

Location is great, stunning view, nice pool, very friendly and helpful staff. I was traveling along with three children and felt very safe and well cared for. The rooms are basic but good value for the price. They arranged a very helpful guide who took us to the stunning waterfalls and helped me keep an eye on the kids, since it’s a bit of an adventurous hike. They also arranged a driver for us to our next stop on our trip. Nice dinner and breakfast and pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommend!
