The resort is in beautiful grounds and the gardens are immaculate. The pool area and beach area both lovely. The room was on the second floor - no lift- It was large, clan and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was split in to separate shower, sink and toilet. The staff in the restaurant and bar were first class, the food in the restaurant was very good.

Not all the services stated are available. Unable to get an airport transfer, unable to visit the sister resort, unable to book excursions. When asking about this the reception staff were very curt and off hand about it. The design of the balcony reduced any privacy and other guests smoked (none stop) on their balcony.

Sudamala is the perfect location to rest and enjoy Labuan Bajo and the Komodo islands. The pool, bar and restaurant are amazing, we really enjoyed spending time there. The room was very confortable with a large bed, big bathroom and fully equipped.

The restaurant was expensive, especially the diner buffet (1.3M IDR for two). If you want to organize tours, motorbike rental etc, you’d better do it yourself. For instance, we went through the staff to rent a motorbike, which was more expensive than usual, and the bike came with almost no fuel.

The staff was very helpful (thanks to them!). The room was very clean and comfortable, exactly as we expected. The location is also great, coupled with excellent facilities (pool, etc.). Also ample choice for breakfast.

The quality of food and the wine at the restaurant could be improved; they were not on par with the level of the establishment. We also encountered some communication issues at the spa (asked for one treatment but got a totally different one).

We liked everything. This property is mind blowing. The spacious rooms, the courteous staff, the location (huge premises with a private beach), the pool (large infinity pool with a floating bar), the restaurant - every aspect gets a 5 star Note: Labuan Bajo isn't the type of area where you'd have a lot to do outside the hotel, other than the Komodo tours et al. Hence, better to book a nice property and not a BnB. To that extent, Sudamala fits the bill perfectly

We arrived at Sudamala after a five day liveaboard, so we were looking forward to comfort and cleanliness. Sudamala did not disappoint. They had really comfortable beds, lovely showers, and spacious, clean rooms. The bar had really nice cocktails, and the pool was lovely. Breakfast had a really wide selection, and the coffee was really good.

Sudamala is 10 minutes away from Labuan Bajo by car, and about a 40 minute walk. We were quoted 5x as much for the hotel driver to take us into Labuan Bajo as Gojek, so we did end up using ride calling apps instead of the hotel driver.

Beautiful, newly opened hotel with very well maintained grounds. The pool is large and looks very natural with its colors and plants. The food is good and the prices are decent. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The whole pool and restaurant area is very cozy and at night the illumination is perfect.

The hotel is great, but there are two things that could be improved in my opinion: Breakfast is good, but it is a pity that there is always only one juice there, which is not fresh. You get freshly squeezed / natural juices only on request - and only if you know about it. It would be generally nicer to get more information upon arrival: For example about the selection at breakfast (pancakes, fresh juices). About the tours and excursions on Komodo (it would be better here to have some information and flyer in the room) and that you can get a breakfast box for the day tours. The other thing is that the airport transfer should be included in the price or at least the same price as the taxi. The hotel is only 6km from the airport and the price for the airport shuttle is too high.

Staff and restaurant were great. The Lobby staff, servers around the pool and restaurant were great. View from the room was amazing. Beach and pool were very clean.

Not Sudamala’s fault, but the resort next to us were really loud. Wish they would tone it down a little. Or have the music a little further than where we were

The only resort I found to enjoy various islands and snorkeling while staying in Labuan Bajo for 4 days. I don't like flashy modern things. I prefer places that can express the traditional feeling and naturalness of the country as much as possible. Although it is not that fancy, this place with an area of ​​2 hectares has a natural and comfortable style that blends in with the trees. And there is a small downtown where you can enjoy various meals and drinks, and there is a shuttle bus that runs every hour every day and a free round-trip pick-up service from the airport, which is about 15 minutes away from the hotel. Although there is not an abundance of fresh fruit, the breakfast that changes a little bit every day makes you look closely at the kitchen. You can also experience the occasional evening barbecue party. The schedule becomes more comfortable because you feel that they are trying to satisfy various customers' tastes. The room is smaller than I thought, but there is an open balcony, so you can smoke without disturbing other customers. It is hard to find a resort with a private beach in Labuan Bajo, but this one does, but it is more for a walk on the beach than for going into the ocean. Thank you to the friendly staff who came running to get the bug out of the bathroom. Thank you to all the staff who took great care of us.

Is it really necessary to spray the smelly chemicals that are used to kill bugs in trees?

Our stay in Sudamala resort was fabulous, we really liked our room which was spacious and clean. The breakfast is great with so many options! We had an amazing dinner at the beach (on Saturdays) with fantastic food (and good prices) and really romantic atmosphere as there was live music. Since my husband had an accident and lost his phone on one of the Komodo island trips, the staff was really helpful and friendly. They even went with him to a local police station to report it ... without them it would be definitely much more difficult. I would recommend this place to couples, families and also friend groups.

We stayed in a private pool one bedroom villa. The villa was spacious with an enormous comfortable king bedroom. Semi enclosed bathroom and good size private pool surrounded by small garden and bale. The resort compound is picturesque and meticulously maintained. The restaurant, main pool and bar overlook a white sand beach which is cleaned daily. Menu at restaurant was varied with good choice of western and local food. Many nights feature a themed buffet but al la carte is always available. Special recommendation for all the lovely staff who were so friendly and helpful!
