We arrived at Sudamala after a five day liveaboard, so we were looking forward to comfort and cleanliness. Sudamala did not disappoint. They had really comfortable beds, lovely showers, and spacious, clean rooms. The bar had really nice cocktails, and the pool was lovely. Breakfast had a really wide selection, and the coffee was really good.

Sudamala is 10 minutes away from Labuan Bajo by car, and about a 40 minute walk. We were quoted 5x as much for the hotel driver to take us into Labuan Bajo as Gojek, so we did end up using ride calling apps instead of the hotel driver.

We liked everything. This property is mind blowing. The spacious rooms, the courteous staff, the location (huge premises with a private beach), the pool (large infinity pool with a floating bar), the restaurant - every aspect gets a 5 star Note: Labuan Bajo isn't the type of area where you'd have a lot to do outside the hotel, other than the Komodo tours et al. Hence, better to book a nice property and not a BnB. To that extent, Sudamala fits the bill perfectly

Beautiful, newly opened hotel with very well maintained grounds. The pool is large and looks very natural with its colors and plants. The food is good and the prices are decent. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The whole pool and restaurant area is very cozy and at night the illumination is perfect.

The hotel is great, but there are two things that could be improved in my opinion: Breakfast is good, but it is a pity that there is always only one juice there, which is not fresh. You get freshly squeezed / natural juices only on request - and only if you know about it. It would be generally nicer to get more information upon arrival: For example about the selection at breakfast (pancakes, fresh juices). About the tours and excursions on Komodo (it would be better here to have some information and flyer in the room) and that you can get a breakfast box for the day tours. The other thing is that the airport transfer should be included in the price or at least the same price as the taxi. The hotel is only 6km from the airport and the price for the airport shuttle is too high.

Stunning beachfront resort. The landscaping is amazing, well maintained gardens and buildings. Heated swimming pool is awesome, since the beach is not apt for swimming. Our ground floor room has outdoor bathroom. Take note of this since the upper floor bedrooms have indoor only bathroom. Nice amenities, smart TV with Netflix & other streaming services, comfy bedding, AC and Wifi were excellent.

There is nothing outside the hotel. No minimarts, stores or good restaurants. So you’d need to go to the city via taxi (IDR 50k each trip from a to b). Walking to the city centre is not recommended, would take probably 1 hour. Breakfast was not 5 star category, very little options, but the taste was okay. Food prep at the pool bar was a lil longer than expected.

Staff and restaurant were great. The Lobby staff, servers around the pool and restaurant were great. View from the room was amazing. Beach and pool were very clean.

Not Sudamala’s fault, but the resort next to us were really loud. Wish they would tone it down a little. Or have the music a little further than where we were

We had very nice experience staying for 6 nights in the resort. The lobby, spa and pool  were beautifully designed. The room was bright and spacious, bed was super comfortable.  The staff's friendliness and dedication truly stood out—they went above and beyond to ensure we are satisfied and happy. The food in the restaurant was WOW: variety of dishes, amazing taste and presentation. The massage was great. The resort provides free shuttle to/from airport and town.  We highly recommend this resort.

You can't swim on the private beach. But it wasn't a problem for us considering the different snorkeling tours we took and uncrowded pool.

Perfect location for a very late arrival or early morning flier. This well designed and attractive hotel Is very quiet considering its proximity to the airport. Lovely pool surrounded by a tropical garden. Really nice rooms with comfortable beds. Delightful and attentive staff. The reception staff went above and beyond by receiving and paying for an item we had couriered from our previous hotel which we greatly appreciated. Good restaurant.

My only point is it would be good to have cold water points available in the corridors. There were only small bottles in the rooms and I ran out at 3am.

I was extremely impressed with the level of organization during my stay. It made me feel like a child again, being cared for by everyone. The staff were very friendly and intuitive, knowing when to engage in conversation or provide a peaceful atmosphere. Our afternoons by the pool, watching the sunset and sipping on delicious cocktails, were truly enjoyable. It was hard to say goodbye to such a comfortable environment. The spa was a must-visit, as it provided relaxation and positive energy. The diving club at the resort was a major highlight, with professional staff and the convenience of practicing on-site rather than having to travel into the city. I will definitely return in the future, especially after the kind gesture of a room upgrade which made our stay even more comfortable.

The bathroom lighting could be enhanced to improve visibility, especially for tasks like shaving where details may be easily overlooked due to inadequate lighting.

First of all, it is value for money accommodation. The bed and pillows are very comfortable, the room is spacious enough for two, and the bathroom has an outdoor concept. The massage at the spa was deep into the tissue and yet relaxing enough until I actually fell asleep. The sunset at the beach was one of the most beautiful sun sets that I have ever seen. The staff is so friendly that they even dance for us a traditional dance during the bbq on our request. We had so much fun.

There is nothing about the hotel that we don't like. But I just wish that Labuan Bajo has a better public transport service.

This was the best resort where I have ever stayed. The entire vibe of this resort is not something to be missed. Total relaxation. We stayed in a beach bungalow where we could step off the deck in front of the room and either be at a pool, bar, or beach with calm waters All perfect for relaxing! The local food is great and the service was even better. Aldo was a great bartender. Our room had an outdoor bathroom to die for (high walls) and a personal day bed. Make sure you do the Komodo Island day trip. Airport shuttle offered and it is timely. Sunset should not be missed! Unexpected luxury! I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Labaun Bajo.

Single comforter instead of single sheet caused us to turn air con up high at night. To be fair, the comforter versus a single sheet/blanket seems to be the norm in Indonesia.
