I loved Pondok & didn't want to leave. It is a beautiful little boutique hotel which is amazing value for money. My second story room was totally quiet, large, comfortable & clean. The gardens & pool are beautiful. The breakfast was delightful & very generous. The staff went above & beyond. I can't wait to come back. Pondok is a little gem!

My airconditioning was a little warm. It's a busy 15:minute walk to Sanur Beachfront. I didn't mind it & you could easily get a taxi or bike. Some people might find it a little frustrating

I liked how well equipped the room was, even to suply milkwas a nice touch.

The hotel organised a driver to take me after my stay there, to Sanur Harbour, which he did. Also included in the money I paid to him, was he was supposed to pick me back up at Sanur Harbour after my duration in the islands, he CHOSE not to come back to collect me and he left me stranded there with no way of relocating to my hotel. Very poorly managed, and for this I would not go back to Pondok Ayu. I am also elderly, so I was extremely angry!!

Pondok Ayu is an oasis! It is beautiful, spotless and very comfortable with a fantastic staff who do an amazing job to keep it in an excellent condition. It is truly a gem from a beautiful garden and swimming pool to a very large and spotlessly clean room with everything you need inside it plus a very comfortable bed. I specifically liked the idea of providing drinking water in a container with a small jar to keep it in the fridge to reduce the amount of plastic used. The idea of a single breakfast table for all guests was ideal which created a friendly atmosphere to enjoy your breakfast as well as the opportunity to have a conversations with other guests. The property itself is at the bottom of a very quiet alley way which also was great away from any unnecessary noise.

I can not think of even one single thing that I did not like about Ponok Ayu.

The breakfast was simple but cooked very well and was tasty. Definitely enough to start your day with refreshing tea coffee and juice. Our room was cleaned every day and fridge was stocked with beer, water and soft drinks that can be added onto to your bill at the end of your stay. We ordered a Nasi for lunch which was nice and spicy and reasonably priced . It’s a 10 minute walk to the beach and all the beachfront restaurants with one main road to cross but it’s only a couple of dollars in a cab so that is always an option. Will always book a few days at Pondok Ayu if we are passing through Bali for sure and would recommend this place to all our friends and family The Fitzys from Perth

This place is a peacefull heaven on busy Bali :) We stayed for one month, working and enjoying sanur. Despite of we stayed in many places in Bali, we really felt like home right here and we miss this place so much! The room was very spacious, modern with nice kitchhen and very comfy bed in general. We complained about the martress after first night but it was no problem to change it for a comfortable one the next day. The pool is not really for swimming but it is amazing for cooling yourself down or for late evening chill. During day it might feel a bit warmer than you wish it to be ;) Whole stuff is so awesome, everyone is caring and very helpful, ladies are absolutely lovely and polite with better or worse english, but it doesnt matter as always understood each other well. Water is provided for very little fee. We recommend to rent a bike in warung sport near beach because it is quite far for everyday walking to the beach. You must cross a crazy busy road, but you will get used to it very easily.. We tried massage here and it was not a strong one, but very relaxing. There are many affortable warungs or fancy restaurants in the surrounding. Pondok Ayu is really a great place for couples or families. There is really nothing to complain about during whole month stay, except the wifi was a bit slow (but still good enough) and it was very very unstabile so we had to buy data (very cheap in bali) for calls and meetings. And one more thing we didnt like is a lonely bird in a cage next to the pool - there are so many wild birds singing around there is no reason to keep this lonely bird in a cage. It is not very karmic way of treating animals we think.

Everything!! Staff were great and accommodating! Room was spotless and comfortable. Common area and pool were beautiful. Quiet and peaceful. I had one of the most incredible massages of my life!! Seriously amazing, an absolute gem!

The only thing we didn’t love was the location, had to cross a big busy road to get to the main strip/beach. Otherwise nothing we didn’t like!

Another comfortable and enjoyable stay . Excellent team - all provide top class service. Peaceful and relaxed stay in Sanur. Airport pickup is a much appreciated service. Spacious room with air conditioning that works well.

Crossing the Bypass Road remains a challenge as most warungs, shops , beaches and facilities are on the opposite side of the highway. Staff are available to assist with booking local transport..

except some “surprise”when i checked- in at almost 2:30am ， everything is perfect， the room is clean， the smell is good， the breakfast is fresh and delicious, the massage is wonderful, and the staff always smiling , hope to stay more days next time with my family!

I loved Pondok Ayu! It's great that they provided a taxi pick up as well and the driver Made was very nice and friendly. The room is spacious and clean, it has got a bathtub which was a nice addition. The location is not too far from the main road and restaurants in walking distance but yet tucked away nicely so that it's quiet without the traffic noise.

The only thing that could be better is the curtains in the room. It's such a comfortable room, it would help to have blackout curtains or at least thicker curtains to keep the light away in the morning.

It is a beautiful, small traditional Balinese property. Tranquil and very beautiful. Staff very attentive . I would love to return.

The contracting out for tours or drivers and less reliable people did not work well. Unfortunately my pre arranged airport pick up did not turn up at 2am and when I was leaving the private transfer became a shared transfer an hour earlier than was agreed.
