The place was renovated so very well, its now a modern, well accommodated place to enjoy everything that Sanur has to offer. The staff is very very good, but we know that this is the case everywhere you go in Bali. The design of the beach deck is especially fantastic, we could just hang there from morning till evening and the staff made it so comfortable by moving the umbrellas here and there to provide us with shade where needed - perfect spot!

the noise of the lounge during the friday-sunday nights was really unexpected. the choice of music that the DJ played felt so very aggressive. we wondered how many people even used the lounge to sit in that type of music, especially as it was so very loud that with the isolation of the space, we heard it the entire night in our bed-rooms which were located near the very front of the hotel, farthest away. I had planned to book again in this hotel for a 2 week stay in november 2023, but because of this absolutely terrible noise we will find another place, which is a shame as everything else in this hotel is just absolutely brilliant.

Great location, nice pool with very nice water, warm

On the attic of the house every night we hear like rats sounds, we inform the reception, but they didn’t solve it.

Segara is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are lovely and the pools and gardens are gorgeous. The Byrdhouse restaurant is lovely for breakfasts only. Top marks for the egg man. Big smile made my mornings. The club sandwich is great.

A few things they need to improve. The staff dont like offereing drinks or food around the pools. I spoke to reception twice but nothing changed. They are losing out on alot of money. The staff should offer drinks and not all be clustered at the bar avoiding eye contact. A strange thing is that now they have built the bigger restaurant if you want to walk to the beachside the restaurant person tries to sit you and you have to explain your walking thru not wanting a restaurant. They also want you dressed and dry. This means you can't nip for a beach swim. They should have a side path so you can go pool to beach. I will stay again as its a lovely hotel. They do need to listen to suggestions.

We had an excellent view of the ocean, with brilliant service, best of all was the option of traditional Bali breakfast, The taste was second to none. For us there was a young lady called Epri Yanti who was a real asset to to hotel as she cared for us with a really professional attitude, super friendly and an all round excellent hostess. There was nothing we wanted for when Epri was in the hotel to care and be such a perfect, friendly, a knowledgeable girl. We learnt so much from her about Balanese culture, we hope she finds success in her position as she thoroughly deserves recognition for being a great member of the staff. A special thank you to her. Dayu , our morning hostess should not go without thanks as she too was so friendly & attentive towards us, advising us of some special Bali attractions to visit, thank you Dayu we will never forget our meeting . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel, perfect paradise 🌴😁

Not applicable, we chose to stay twice in our holiday as we found the first visit just perfect.

children friendly with a kids pool play ground and kids club, we had our granddaughter with us . love the odd duck, female emus running around and a few others to say the least. our room was a bungalow and a little tight fir a cot, otherwise nice. staff were so friendly especially lovely to our granddaughter.

we wanted to extend by one night, they told us we needed to move rooms which was okay, not ideal but it accepted that so packed up on our last day only to be told after the fact we are staying in the original room, no communication at all so that was time wasted . also the laundry service isn’t available as yet. it’s all about the convenience with a 22 month old Bub while her parents had a small honeymoon elsewhere

The staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was excellent, the included breakfasts were delicious. The spacious garden setting of the hotel was lovely. The new Byrdhouse restaurant was great, as was the bakery.

Shade trees/ umbrellas and lounge chairs have been taken away from the main pool area and this was disappointing as we were only able to sit around the second pool. This pool, however, is lovely.

This was our 16th stay in this hotel. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Fantastic garden surrounds in a fabulous position. The staff are totally delightful, and it is fairly priced for the quality service provided. I would strongly recommend this hotel to first time visitors to Bali as they honestly could not find a more beautiful setting to enjoy their holiday.

The music events should start earlier than 10pm. Many older guests are ready for bed by this time and would have enjoyed the events, had they started at 8.30pm. and the hotel would have sold more cocktails!

Beautifully maintained property. Beachfront restaurant offers open-air as well as air-conditioned seating. Rooms cleaned promptly. 20 minute drive to airport on the day we travelled.

Loud music at beachfront restaurant starting at lunchtime and continuing throughout the evening. That said, the food was good and service excellent.

Planned 20th wedding anniversary trip and so glad I picked this hotel. Here's a summary of what I like. Location. Super convenient. Short distance from main road (messy) but it's a complete oasis on its own once you step in. The swimming pools. The 2 pools I like the most are the circular "pond" that you can just chill. Often the 2 resident ducks will join you. So cute to see. The outer pool is much larger and you can have a decent swim, then head to the beach to swim in sea within 3 mins. Pool is cleaned daily to keep it spotless. The food. I bought with buffet breakfast included. You get to sit in comfort while enjoying breakfast and beautiful sunrise. The beach has other food choices but if you want to eat in comfort, it's right here. The cafe. A joint venture with Byrd ensured that you can enjoy the classiest cafe along the Sindo stretch. It's a long way down Segara beach before you find one that can rival it. Their cakes and coffee are splendid. My wife and I went back every evening to wind down. The people. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Shout out to Receptionists Budi & Wina who helped me order and sneak in a cake to surprise my wife. The waiters and waitresses were super friendly too. Our 2 fav are Fanni and Suriyati. Always made us feel welcomed. The biodiversity. Birds, fishes, turtles, squirrels, etc. This hotel has blended with nature. You also see their offical pets, a pair of chickens, a pair of ducks and a pair of turkeys. Fun watching them roam around the prestine gardens. Others. They have a big playground for young kids. It's enough for your kids to run wild and tire themselves out. They have a library and a spa. Didn't try out the spa as the best rated one is "@the nest boutique".

Lack of info about the trees/ shrine. I found the large trees very majestic. Would be good if they had some write-up about the big shrine near the pond. Gives us a better appreciation of the hotel. The TVs. Due to the reception, all your tv shows will not be in HD quality. Have to put up with the slight grainy effect. But heck, why are you staying in the room so much? Go enjoy the rest of the resort!

Beautiful lush tropical garden. Nicely decorated rooms with comfortable beds and a nice bathtub+shower in the bathroom. The restaurant on the beach walk is very nice with a very decent breakfast but we couldn’t enjoy it in the evening as we arrived passed 11pm and it was already closed (including the bar)

Extremely loud guests hanging out on the terrace and making a terrible noise just below our room, passed midnight (!) I know the hotel is not responsible for people’s lack of education but there should be strict rules on public space use and noise within the hotel. Once informed, the receptionist did get immediately a security guard to end the guests’party.
