We loved everything about this place and ended up staying 10 days. It’s heaven on earth. Staff are exceptional. Cleanliness is superb. Ayu went out of her way to really make our stay welcome. She is just so kind, professional and helps you understand the culture of Bali. I hope we became friends! We stayed in the new glamping location and then we also booked for the pool villa. Both fantastic. Love everyone including Jeni, Daisy, Ari, Dewi, Adi, and Giri and more. They are such welcoming and kind staff and really make you feel like you are at home. The hotel is located at a very beautiful location, near villages and the view is spectacular. I hope all the views remain this way as you get to see the rice farmers tend to their farm. It’s a sleepy location and perfect for those who wish to experience Bali, its local culture and a simpler life. If partying and clubbing and shopping is your thing then it’s not the place but if you travel to be in Bali to see Bali and its beautiful culture and nature, then look no further. We also had a few massages and Monica is very good and also explains any issues and tensions you may have. Really excellent and relaxing massages.

Nothing except just a gentle request to perhaps change the menu from time to time because if you stay for 10 days, choices can feel limited. Although the staff did make changes for me and added new ingredients like Mango and Dragonfruit. They also remembered our preferences. Really we miss everyone!

Absolutely wonderful!

The air-conditioning unit in our room did not have an auto function. We called the staff about that but they did not have a solution. Either the room was freezing cold or humid and stuffy if we turned off the AC. There was no coffee machine in our room. We were told that only suites have a coffee machine. It was really not the response I expected to receive in a five-star hotel.

The Stuff is very friendly and everything in the rooms, restaurant and the grounds is very clean. Everything is very luxury and has also its price. On the other side they carry you on hands. If you like this, you’re right at wapa the ume. Very big rooms, super comfy bed and if you are lucky also a super nice view.

We didn’t really liked the pool. It was always quite full and hard to find a space to lay down. And often there were also kids jumping and splashing. Nobody there to supervise anything. Also nobody there to serve you drinks or small bites. The water looked murky… we were in way cheaper hotels before and the pool water was always clear. A bit of a bummer to be honest. The wifi wasn’t strong and disconnected all the time. The wifi only worked properly at the small local restaurant right next to the hotel. Tours are super overpriced in the hotel but you don’t need to organize anything yourself. If you like it this way, go for it.

Wapa di Ume was an incredible hotel. I booked a weekend here while in Bali as a birthday present and all expectations were exceeded. The pools are fantastic, the food is delicious, the facilities such as morning yoga were very relaxing. My favourite part was the bathtub in the room and the nature surrounding the hotel. There was also a delicious restaurant a few minutes near Wapa di Ume in case you want a change of scenery.

The food at the restaurant is a little westernised.

Nice villa with a private pool. Amazing views from the villa and the restaurant. Included free activities like trekking and yoga. Useable gym. Staff is very responsive on whatsapp - super convenient for requests. Quiet location to relax. Not a lot of insects, despite the horror stories. Staff is extremely friendly and accomodating.

No major issues - only nitpicks: A couple of spots were under construction could have been fenced better - a bit of a hazard at night. Not much to do around the area - have to drive for 30+ minutes to get anywhere. Restaurant is a bit pricy for what it is.

The scenery in Sideman is unreal! Something out of a fairy tale. The staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. I was feeling sick and they sent someone to get medication for me. We stayed in a luxury tent, it was beautiful! Definitely take the one with a bath, we didn’t really use the pool as the public one is way better. We stayed 3 nights and ate only there, the food was varied and delicious. Would definitely stay there again.

At first they said they up graded us but when checked us into the room it had no bath (as originally booked). Since we preferred bath to pool because it was rainy season we requested to be checked into the room we originally booked. Eventually we were placed in a room with a bath and pool that was very nice :)

My mom and I had the most incredible time at Wapa di Ume Sidemen. The resort was absolutely breathtaking, with its unique bamboo architecture and stunning views of the river and rice fields. We loved waking up to the sounds of nature and the sight of lush greenery. One of the highlights of our stay was the sunset walk along the river, where we witnessed the majestic Mount Agung in all its glory. It was a truly magical experience. The resort's infinity pool was another favorite spot, offering panoramic views and a serene atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. We even learned how to make traditional Balinese offerings, a cultural experience that we thoroughly enjoyed. The food at the restaurant was delicious, especially the breakfast. We indulged in the delectable avocado toast and other local delicacies. We also pampered ourselves with relaxing massages at the spa, which left us feeling rejuvenated.

I have nothing negative to say.

We had a wonderful time at the Wapa di Ume, we went there to stay for 2 nights but we decided to stay one more night because we loved the place. The staff is very nice and helpful, they offer free walking tours for their guests and free car tour also. Near the hotel there is a wonderful vegan restaurant, Amandinii restaurant, Pepper the owners dog welcomes you if you go there, he's very playful and loving. we loved everyting about Sidemen! The wifi is not so great, the restaurant is also not that great but there are amazing options near the property. Minutes of walking.

We decided to spend a little extra to get a room at Wapa di Ume for the last three nights of our trip. Our thinking was that we wanted to end the trip on a high. The hotel exceeded our expectations to the point that it felt like a bargain. The purpose of our trip was to to take photos for my art practice, and an unexpected bonus of staying at Wapa di Ume was that not only did it have incredibly beautiful views of the rice fields and hillsides, but the gardens throughout the grounds were of an incredibly high standard, with gorgeous tropical flowers and plants wherever you looked. I took hundreds of photos there over the three days. The hotel facilities are really great, the pools are excellent, the room was incredibly comfy with a beautiful view of palms outside. The restaurant was highlight, we usually like to out to explore the local cuisine on offer, but meals we had at the hotel were so good that we ate every meal there, wanting to try what was on the menu. The staff were are all so friendly, always ready to help, we felt really well looked after. I can't recommend this hotel enough, I can't wait to come back.

Beautiful rooms with every attention to detail. A fantastic view from bathroom with a big picture window beside the huge bathtub. Staff were extremely courteous and helpful. Dinner was tasty and I was given excellent and friendly service from my waiter Wirtu who produced an unexpected desert for me! The afternoon tea was also a lovely touch and breakfast was superb! I had it in my room on the lovely terrace. There was an exciting tropical downpour which was lovely to experience but it curtailed my experience of the surrounding gardens and the amazing countryside. I must go back 🙏

The wine list was prohibitively expensive .
