Beautiful resort by the beach. It was the perfect spot for kicking back and relaxing – three days flew by. The villas are excellently appointed with plenty of space, the pool and garden is very tranquil and the massages were great too. The highlight was the staff, who were all so lovely and accommodating. It was well worth waking up early to snorkel right off the resort (the resort provides free snorkels/flippers). We saw a turtle when we went.

Could be a little noisy at night (music from town nearby, roosters, dogs). But we slept great.

We loved the fact that the staff was readily available at any given time to help us with any concerns which we did not have any, but they always checked in to make sure we were comfortable or if we had any concerns. We loved the fact that they were available for transport for every type of excursion or otherwise that we wanted to take even to the airport, local shopping, and even a tattoo in a nearby studio! We loved that the restaurant was on site . The food was spectacular. You had the option to eat in the dining area or the oceanfront near the pool, or on your own patio. We also love that there were planned excursions that we could choose from to take day trips all planned transport etc., added to your bill at the end ‘just show up and enjoy your day’…. We OK selected and highly recommend the one to the waterfalls/ Buddhist temple/ Hot Springs etc, and the early morning, dolphin tour! Finally, I would like to mention all of the wonderful Massage package items that you can choose from…. My son and I got daily massages. I got a manicure and pedicure. I also got my eyebrows micro- bladed on site by Dani, the owner‘s . She is a professional studio owner, but will bring her a resources on site to the massage parlor steps away from your room). I could go on and on about what we loved, but you would get tired of reading 🤣

There was absolutely nothing. We did not like about the property.

Alam Mimpi was absolutely wonderful. The staff is kind, responsive and very welcoming. The food is excellent. The rooms are spacious, open and the views just incredible. We extended our stay with an extra 6 nights. The grounds and rooms are well taken care of and clean. Hearing the waves is just very relaxing. The wifi is great and we were even able to take on some work calls.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that instantly made us feel at home. The hotel itself is stunning – beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and surrounded by breathtaking natural scenery. Every detail has been thought through, from the comfortable rooms to the delicious meals served with love. The staff go above and beyond in every way – always attentive, friendly, and ready to help with anything. Waking up to the sound of the ocean and enjoying peaceful days by the pool felt like a dream. Truly one of the most magical places we’ve ever stayed, and we can’t wait to return!

Beautiful tropical garden setting with amazing sea view. Spacious room and bathroom. Lovely Verandah with a couch to chill. So tranquil, the sound of the waves nearly hypnotic.Fabulous Balinese food in the restaurant, ate there every night, different dishes, absolutely worth the stay, loved it! The staff are all gems, so kind and welcoming, happy and helpful, made my stay a delight. They serve afternoon coffee and sweet treats on the house, a very nice touch. Bit out of the way, I was travelling by motorbike so no worries. You can rent a scooter at the hotel. Water refill station in the restaurant area and kettle in the room.

Don't expect any white sandy beaches, the north coast is mostly rocky, pebbly with bits of black sand, all lava. The pool is a bit on the small side. Great scuba diving tho with reef infront of hotel. The safe in the room was truly portable so kinda pointless, but I felt so safe there I didn't even lock my room.

I liked everything: the location, the staff, the service, the food, the garden. Everything was amazing. I need to add that we were stuck into the woods in the middle of night because the driver from the airport got the wrong road and I called them at midnight and they came as soon as they could. They rescued us. They also provide a driver if you need one. All my good thoughts to this family.

There's nothing I didn't like. If you want a quiet place for your family, this is the place to go

It is one of those places where my expectations were completely exceeded. We loved everything - cleanliness (on a daily basis, the staff made our room and the entire territory spotless; they didn't us if we need it, they simply did it), the swimming pool (its big size, amazingly warm water, its design), massages (relaxing, great location on the sea shore), sun lounges (comfortable), their sate ayam (it was divine, we ordered ir every dinner, really super delicious), cute houses with the most amazing view at the sea; the ambience (calming sounds of the sea, zero noise from any transport), afternoon snack (so cuuuute!! Like in kindergarten, every afternoon, the staff brings tea or coffee and complimentary snack, the garden (such a beautiful and perfectly designed garden with amazing trees, plants, and butterflies). It's a really much better place than the pictures show..

Oh, we stayed for a week, and it was really hard to find something we didn't like.

Alam Mimpi was a perfect place for us to unwind and take in the beauty of north east Bali. Sunrises as fishing boats came in from their night's work, lovely fresh breakfast, sparkling pool, tropical plants, shady nooks, and being lulled to sleep by the waves. All presented in a genuine way without being pretentious. The six rooms make it quiet and comfortable for guests. Staff warm and friendly, not too polished which made it feel like a local home rather than resort. Rooms looking out to the sea just fabulous. Scuba dive options are available close by, early morning village market (6am). You can just chill here, or get a driver to take you to waterfalls, temples for a day trip. You have a good selection of food cooked on site - eat in the dining area or have it brought to your porch or in one of the outdoor tables dotted around. The surprise afternoon tea was a very welcome treat!! This coastal North East Bali is away from the super busy ultra tourist spots of southern Bali - refreshingly charming.

Puts the term "boutique" in "boutique"...Alam Mimpi is a small & slightly remote resort set in beautiful grounds directly overlooking the sea. If you want to fall asleep to the sounds of the sea lapping against the beach, and then wake up with the view of the sea filling the windows of your room...then this place is for you... Eager staff will take care of everything with great food and fresh fruits smoothies on demand...the rooms were well appointed with modern bathrooms and AC fitted into wooden structures, to provide an authentic sense of being "one with nature" whilst enjoying first world luxuries. There's a house reef to snorkel on, which is accessed by a narrow and (very) pebbly beach directly in front of the gardens. Small, but surprisingly deep swimming pool for those that don't dive or snorkel. The famous Liberty wreck is about 40 mins by car down the coast, and is well worth scuba diving on... Hiring a moped or taxi are the travel options for those without hire car & with plenty of dive operations to choose from once there. The resort will pick you up from the airport which is the easiest option, although car hire is possible for the more adventurous. Note that driving in Indonesia is not for the feint hearted and you will need GPS and Google maps. Also take the coastal route, as driving to the other side of the island over the volcano is not recommended for the inexperienced...and I wouldn't jump off a plane and into a hire car anyway. It'll take 4 to 5 hours of hair raising driving...so better to get picked up by the resort if you're not planning to stay in Kuta for a few days...

Be aware that Alam Mimpi is slightly remote and there isn't much to do apart from eat, drink, swim and chill out. Side trips can be arranged or self undertaken, but the emphasis is on relaxation. There's probably a limit of about a dozen guests in resort at a time and you'll experience probably less...and in fact you could have the place to yourself... Internet is via resort WiFi and was able to stream the iPlayer via a VPN...but was not 100% reliable as is dependent on infrastructure not under their control... 4G was rock solid though...

we loved everything about the hotel! the staff was really nice, spacious and comfortable room, great pool area with a lovely view, good breakfast and lunch/dinner, possibility to snorkle just in front of the hotel, they helped us with transportation and most important, it was so relaxing and calm! highly recommended and we will come back when in Bali

it is a bit further away from wherever you come from, but that‘s how you get your tranquility
