Beautiful villa, with gorgeous view! Wonderful staff who couldn’t do enough for us including free 24 hour shuttles to & from the villa into town, which is a great extra! Really nice clean pool! Very good breakfast & multiple choices! We loved our stay in Ubud & Solo Villa was the icing on the cake, the villa is stunning but the staff make this place amazing! 10/10

We originally booked a week at this villa, hoping to find a longer-term place in Ubud, but we ended up extending our stay to a full month because we loved it so much. Nestled in the midst of stunning rice fields, the location offers both tranquility and convenience, as it is close enough to the center of Ubud to easily walk in. The surrounding rice fields are some of the most beautiful I’ve seen, and the added magic of fireflies at night creates a truly unforgettable experience. Our room was spacious, tidy, and perfectly suited for a relaxing stay. The breakfast options were excellent, featuring a variety of à la carte choices that were both delicious and satisfying. However, the highlight of our stay was the exceptional staff. They were incredibly kind and attentive, which made all the difference during our month-long visit. Traveling with a toddler, we appreciated their warmth and support, especially when our little one fell ill. Their hospitality truly stood out, blending personal touches with professional service. While we didn’t get the chance to meet the owner, a Canadian who is highly praised by guests, we want to extend our compliments to her team. If you read this, Mrs. Owner: you have a fantastic group on the ground! We loved every moment of our stay and can’t wait to return. This villa is a hidden gem in Ubud, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable getaway.

Everything was perfect.

Solo Villas was like a complete blissful haven in the paddy fields, yet just a 5 min moped ride to the centre of Ubud, amazing. Getting there with a big suitcase is not a problem, the lovely staff take care of everything. Communication before and during my stay was almost instant, and also rides to town. As a solo woman, I felt completely safe walking round the area, including in the dark, and my favorite thing was walking at night to the Sweet Orange Warung nearby. My room was delightful and very spacious, and everything was clean and fresh. The pool and breakfast area were lovely too. The staff at Solo were always friendly and attentive, which I've now come to expect in Bali, but this was my first experience, so quite remarkable to me. They really view themselves as team. They arranged a driver for me a couple of times, Konix, who I'd highly recommend as easy to talk with, informative on local culture, and an all-round lovely guy.

Very clean and neat villa. Staff are very friendly and responsive. The swimming pool is also very nice and my kid was enjoyed a lot. Overall worth of money.

The bike shuttle is available to travel to the villa, and the staff are immediately picked up and dropped to the requested places in ubud. But the car can't able to travel from the specific point afterwards. So only choice is bike which is not convenient if we have more luggage. If we come at midnight, only one person is available for pickup and drop also it's very long from the car parking place, which is almost 2km. Other than that, there are no complaints and overall worth for money.

Absolutely amazing stay at this hotel! The breakfast was fantastic, the room was gorgeous (we even saw fireflies at night outside our window!), and the staff went above and beyond. The airport transfer from Denpasar was so easy to organise and Konik was so friendly that, despite the traffic, the time flew by as we chatted about Bali. In fact, everyone at the Villas was so lovely. We had a very early departure to make a flight and they even made us a to-go breakfast box which we really appreciated. There was a very easy scooter ride into the main road but the walk itself was so pleasant that we seldom took the scooter option. We travelled to another part of Indonesia afterwards and immediately regretted it - we could have happily spent our entire trip just in Solo Villas. We will be recommending everyone to stay here and if we’re ever back in Bali, we will be staying here again.

Nothing - we couldn’t fault a thing.

I recently stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, across two different room types: the King Room and the Queen Room. The King Room, with its closer proximity to the pool, was definitely my preferred choice if I were to book it again in the future. A special thank you to the exceptional staff – Putu, Roka, Ayi, and Made – who went above and beyond to make my stay truly enjoyable. Your warmth and hospitality made all the difference, and I sincerely appreciated your care. The hotel’s location is ideal for those seeking a peaceful retreat. Situated just outside the hustle and bustle of central Ubud, it is surrounded by serene rice fields. For added convenience, you can easily contact the staff via WhatsApp, and they will quickly arrange a scooter to take you into town at any time, with service that takes just minutes. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service, stunning location, and the comfort of the rooms.

The only thing that would make this place perfect is having a bar so you can enjoy cocktails by the pool. The rooms have soft drinks in the mini fridge, so you can mix your own drinks with your own alcohol by the pool.

Beautiful villas, there are 3 villas with baths and sofas. Which are absolutely beautiful. The staff are incredible and can’t do enough for you. The pool is beautiful. You are able to have a flower bath and a floating breakfast, all which the staff do for you. I really couldn’t speak anymore highly of the staff. Definitely not a flaw just something to be mindful of, perhaps not suitable for children. The villas are approximately 700 metres from UBUD albeit not far, it is up hill. The staff can take you back and forth on scooters ( and they are brilliant and more than happy to help) however just something to be aware of if not comfortable on a scooter.

Location is fantastic right in the middle of the rice fields. It is peaceful and a beautiful walk up a narrow pathway from the middle of ubud. We loved the pool which we more or less had to ourselves, room was old bali style but really comfortable and enjoyed looking out on the fields. Breakfast was great and staff super lovely. We didn't use the free scooter service as liked the walk so much. Highly recommend Sweet Orange warung for meals which is close to the villa. Wish we could have stayed longer. Staff really helpful in picking you up with your luggage on their scooters and dropping you back into the township to get taxi back to beaches. Lots of markets, restaurants and massages within 15 minutes walk which is really safe.

We loved everything about this place.

Calm, in the middle of the rice fields, tasty breakfast, very (child) friendly staff, they even prepared a breakfast for our little one free of charge every day (she loved the banana bread and always got an extra slice for the day ahead). The property is very well maintained, the big villa where we stayed was clean, roomy and didn’t get too hot during the hours when we did not use the A/C. The appliances and interior was clean, fairly new and sturdy (very important if you have a 1 year old who climbs up everywhere). When we requested a room upgrade since climbing the stairs with a baby stroller every day is a bit of a hassle, the staff immediately provided a solution. They always had an open ear for requests of any kind.

Since it’s up a little hill from the Main Street, one can hear the little motorcycles drive up till 22h-23h at night. But given that no cars can climb up there, one has to expect that. So not much of an issue. You also get used to it after 2-3 days.

Room is spacious and the furniture is really beautiful, same for the View over the Rice fields. The staff picked us up with scooters and helped us, when we checked Out to come to our Taxi. Breakfast is good, the banana bread is delicious. Scooters can be Rent at the Hotel.

It was just small things, which accumulates a little Bit...thats the reason, why i can't give a 9 or even a 10., Although its a good Hotel to stay. For example: -No Toilette paper after cleaning - No battery for the Safe, we Had to ask for a Key - No free water, But a opportunity to cook Tea, unfortunately the Cups were not that Clean - Body shower went empty and was not filled - few Gas in the Scooter we rent - the fridge was loud in the night
