Lovely property, lovely rooms, great pool with cold water to swim

Massages we're expensive so didn't use. Only one towel was given each, no hand towels or hair towels, but when we asked second time we got more. There was only 1 light working in our bathroom out of 5. Old broken air conditioning unit left next to our room. Nice people, were there if we needed them but left us to it. Breakfast was fine but had to pay extra for bacon and it really made it into a whole better breakfast. Overall a great stay and would stay again

Beautiful garden and terrace, lovely pool. Good location, nice walk into the centre. Loved the semi-outdoor bathroom. Spacious room, good breakfast.

Our room had a double bed but the single bed for the third person was not comfortable at all, the room should rather be used by 2 people. Staff was kind, the host was more into selling services. Although we were there in July, it was raining for 3 days and everything was very damp in the room (walls, air, bed linen, towels, all of our clothes).

Absolutely beautiful place. We felt like we had the whole place to ourselves! Big spacious rooms with a lovely balcony. Felt like your own little tropical hideaway. Lots of cafes and restaurants in walking distance. Outside of busy ubud but only a 30 min walk into the centre. This place really is like a hidden gem. We were given the number for a taxi driver too and he was so helpful throughout the trip, even when we had gone down to uluwatu he recommended another taxi driver to us! Lovely people, great hotel. Would absolutely recommend to others and hopefully one day we will be back. Exceptional value for money, the massages were great too! Thank you!

Fantastic location in the gorgeous alleyways of Penestanan Village. Within walking distance to the cool cafes and yoga studios. Clean and big rooms. Serene and quiet.

We had the king room with balcony -  beautifully decorated in the traditional Balinese style, comfy beds and excellent shower. Mornings started with delicious breakfast with fresh fruit and a variety of things to choose from. The place really is a sanctuary in the middle of a busy city - peaceful and quiet with beautiful tropical garden, yet bustling downtown Ubud is a short 15 minute walk away. The spa was great, according to my family. The staff at the property were super friendly and helpful. Michel provided a lot of useful tips and info on the various attractions on the island, such as the sunrise trek to the top of mount Batur, etc., and I enjoyed our chats with him with  interesting insights into the island culture. Plenty of little shops nearby, some excellent restaurants and scooter rentals just outside the property. The Vespa Pizza restaurant is not to be missed! All in all Taman Rahasia was a really excellent choice for our 5 day stay in Ubud, and we would gladly book again.

Taman Rahasia means Secret Garden ands that’s what you have to expect: a hidden gem within a wonderful garden. The rooms are spacious and clean. There is a fridge, fan, air/con, water heater, a nice terrace with sofa, table and chairs, fine wifi and a decent number of breakfast choices. Bed is super comfy, good mosquito net. The staff is incredibly nice, the owners very sympathetic and helpful. The only thing that disturbed me a bit at the beginning was the “open” bathroom, so if you want a more closed space ask for rooms upstairs with the balcony. Also if you like it really quiet, do not choose the room next to the pool and breakfast area, because of course it can get a bit noisy sometimes. All in all it IS a fantastic quiet place. To Ubud center you walk 25 minutes. Seems far but believe me, once you are downtown, you are so glad to stay in a place a bit remote, at Taman Rahasia. Which is located in a nice, green area of town, with a lot of options for great food (Vespa, Made’s, Alchemy, Yellow Flower, only to name a few) and also yoga studios in walking distance. Hotel associated driver Wayan is supe friendly and can bring you everywhere. Absolute recommendation!

Michel is a very kind and attentive host. All the instructions were clear, and he gives you good advice on things you can do around the area. The hotel is a half-hour walk from Ubud center, which is nice because the area is far away from all the crazy traffic, and it's very quiet and relaxing at night. It's not an easy walk to the center because of the traffic, and the roads are quite steep, but you can book a Grab very easily and go everywhere. Breakfast is nice, and it's all homemade. The room is very big and comfortable; there is air-conditioning and a minifridge. The bathroom is huge. The attention to detail for the furniture is really impressive. There is also a nice patio outside each room, which is nice if you want to chill in the evening. As a solo traveler, I felt safe all the time, and I really enjoyed my stay, even if it was for a short time. Thank you very much.

The Room was exactly like the photos and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast menu was great with a variety of options. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Being tucked away at the back of the property meant that it was really quite and peaceful. A couple of good restaurants for dinner/ lunch nearby

I liked everything. Although be aware that the entrance to the property was down a narrow walkway between buildings and although perfectly safe at all times, I was a little bit nervous the first night I arrived (but 100% comfortable walking in and out by myself there after). Maybe some extra hotel signage and arrows to say the hotel was located further on may be helpful.

Beautiful property tucked away from the small streets. The pool and gardens were lovely very peaceful and quiet. Our room was a good size with a comfortable bed, a large water dispenser (such a good idea no having to buy bottles) and a lovely terrace with daybed and table and chairs, we had an enormous bathroom. The couple that run the place are so welcoming and helpful, all the staff were great. A delicious breakfast was served by the pool with 4 different choices, the only place we stayed in Bali that can make nice toast! We loved the area it’s quiet and peaceful about a 30 min scenic walk into Ubud centre or a short taxi ride. At the back of the hotel is a gorgeous walkway going through the rice fields with a couple of cute restaurants along the way. There are a few places to eat in walking distance we especially enjoyed cafe Vespa 2 min walk away. This was our favourite stay in Bali and somewhere we would return to.

The rooms are generous, comfortable and everything is very clean. The location is super, just far enough away from the centre to be peaceful but close enough to be accessible. Breakfasts are wholesome and of good quality. Staff and owners are lovely and super helpful.

Clearer signage on arrival would be an advantage. If the owners upgraded a few features to include hotel style bedlinen and towels, bathroom accessories and toiletries they could easily add 50% to the nightly rate.
