The location is very cosy. It's relatively far from the train station and the Malioboro street, but convenient and in the vicinity of many restaurants, those frequented mostly by westerners, as well as those more focused to the locals, both appealing. Staff is welcoming and smiley. Complimentary coffee and tea as well as tables where guests can eat their own meals with the food brought from outside is appreciated. Bed is comfortable.

There is absolutely no soundproof. If you are a lightsleeper, simply avoid this place. The only window (in my room, and I'd say in most of the others as well) was the one to the inner yard, where cheerful fellow vacationers scream, laugh, chat or just pass by and all this can really get annoying. The muezzins'' calls at 4:30 from many mosques in the vicinity, will make sure no one misses the morning prayer time, especially guests of the soundprofless rooms at Aloha hotel. 2.5% charge on card payment, usual, but always annoying.

Location, kindness of the staff and tidyness. Close to a lively area of restaurants and bars. We walked yo the Sultan's Palace in half an hour.

A very nice hotel in a cozy area in a quiet side street, close to nice bars and restaurants, supermarkets, an artesian bakery and small art shops. It is the nicest area and place to stay that we have seen while being in Yogyakarta. A great mix between local vibe and traveler's needs close by. If you like authentic, clean and comfortable places, this will be your type of accommodation. We travel a lot and always look for cozy and kind places where you feel comfortable and welcome. Rita and her staff are extremely kind and helpful and go the extra mile for their guests. They give you helpful and honest advice for your trips and anything else you need, such as the best money exchange place, close by gym and you can even rent a motorbike directly with Aloha, which is comfortable and they have good prices. They can also organise and book your excursions for you if you want. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. The bigger rooms with more natural light and balcony are upstairs, while the smaller rooms with garden view are on the ground floor. We prefer the room on the ground floor, because you can easily access it and don't need to walk any stairs. Super happy to have found this very nice accommodation. 100% recommended. Really good location, it’s a quiet place but you can just walk 1min to the Main Street where you will find a lot of restaurants and bars. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room is cleaned every day. The rates for renting a scooter are also reasonable 75k. Also the tours they display are good and reasonable. The tour company Kresna Tours was also nice.

As you can read from other reviews, the pipes in the bathroom do have a tendency to smell bad. But you just close the door and that’s it.

The hotel is located ona small street which limits car traffic and accompanying noise. The building is beautifully designed with a lovely atrium occupied by a fish pond and water plants. The stairwell is lighted during the day by a beautiful stained glass panel. The room was large with a large bed and pullout sofa. The bath was clean, and shower enjoyable. The WiFi was fine. The staff were incredibly attentive, and kind. They helped arrange a car with a driver who spoke English and took us everywhere we wanted to go. The lobby is cool and breezy with free freshly made Javan coffee on request. We also liked the small fruit stand and restaurants which we patronized right next door. We would definitely lke to stay there again.

The A/C could have been more powerful, and the room could have had a way of darkening the window a bit better.

The staffs were so helpful and nice, and the reception was open 24h. The room was clean and well managed and bed was comfortable. Lobby was very beautiful with common space for easy food to eat. Location is also very good for foreigner tourists.

I really wanted to give 10 out of 10 because the stay was really nice. But in the bathroom we have seen cockroaches 2 times over 4 nights of stay, and that had bothered me of using bathroom. Considering the price I don't know if this is normal, but I really hope they renew their pipe with roach irresiversible pipes.

Great location on a quiet street right next to a touristic street filled with restaurants, a small supermarket, laundrette and art galleries. This was the only place we stayed on Java that we weren’t woken up by a mosque in the middle of the night! It was the perfect peaceful hideaway in a bustling city. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful, so we felt very much at home staying here.

The bathroom was a bit dated, but that didn’t bother us as it was clean and well maintained.

The location is the best in yogyakarta. Near a street with restaurants, loved warung hera. The people are nice the owner even gave me a box of tea because I liked it, so nice! Roomservice was excellent, I even got fresh towels almost every day. Which I had never experienced before.

The room and bathroom were a bit damp and smelled moldy but opening the windowdoors helped. Not a lot of space to put stuff in the bathroom but it was fine.

Aloha Hotel is well maintained with Clean ceramic flooring and white colour wall and ceiling.The wash room is relatively spacious and we'll arrange .All the furnitures in the room are well kept and look new .The mattress,pillows, blanket,bed sheet ,pillow cover and towel are very clean .All the staffs are very friendly and helpful.The lobby is user friendly with plants/ flowers and pond well arranged.. Excellent hotel location , quiet environment,.

Extremely nice owner and staff Room and sheets were clean No noise after dark Hot water Good Wifi Location is okay. Lots of restaurants around and the public bus stop is only a 10mins walk away. We were able to check in late at night - we arrived at 11:30pm and were promptly taken to our room and told we could handle all the check in formalities the next morning. After an 11h train ride, this was very much appreciated!

On the first night, the water in our bedroom was completely black and full of what looked like dirt. The next morning the owner quickly offered us another room and everything was great after that. The beds are a bit too hard but that's quite common in Asia. The pillows were very soft but once we mentioned it to the staff, they immediately gave us different and much better ones. Just wished they had a shower gel dispenser instead of tiny soap wrapped in plastic. But this is all just nitpicking. Overall it was a very good stay!
