Excellent location! Right on the beach. Very good breakfast with a view over the beach.

The shower caddy in the bathroom was quite high up on the wall. I’m 1.61m tall and I had to stretch to reach it. It was also shallow and slanted so the items often rolled out. The shaving mirror is also high so thus not very practical.

The only reason I gave 8 is that there is a renovation in one wing of the hotel and the noise around the pool and nearby facilities is very loud the whole day.

Location - Near to all the nice restaurants. Right at the beach. The staff at the reception is attentive to your needs. They give an early check in if the room is available. The in house Indian restaurant Mahek served delicious and fresh food. The chef Paul Jose personally greets customers and takes feedback. Went there multiple times because the taste was so good. The beach is bustling and the sunsets are lovely if no clouds.

Noise easily passes from the neighboring rooms to yours. Renovation work is going on, so there is smell of the paint and other adhesives. To some customers they gave complimentary cocktail coupons and to some customers they gave complimentary cocktail coupons plus breakfast coupons. They said they gave me room upgrade ( well thank you if you did ) but then they reminded me atleast 3 times on different occasions that they upgraded the room. The pool/beach towels can be better.

The location and the staff created the difference. The staff (especially Millie from the reception) was going the extra mile to help us arrange our tours, and celebration moments and very polite and positive staff. We stayed during the new years eve and it was fabulous! Right next to the famous Beau Vallon beach which was just so amazing. Good amount of food options in various restaurants within and outside of the hotel. Strongly recommended!

The hotel is a little bit outdated but it is still functional. They’re renovating it but it didn’t bother us during the stay with noise or anything. Overall, very good experience.

The proximity to the beach, basically on the beach, is awesome. We were there for relaxation only, so served our purposes perfectly. The majority of the staff were very friendly and those that weren't were simply efficient just not overly friendly, so no criticism of the remainder. The Hotel bar is located next to the beach and gives you the opportunity for some stunning sunsets as long as it's not raining ;-) Food is also served to you at the hotel bar from all restaurants within the hotel which makes it real easy if you just prefer to stay outside all night. The staff at the hotel bar were all excellent and I would particularly call out Andrew, MK & Janith as being very attentative, efficient and super friendly. Sampath, I believe, an F&B assistant manager also made us very welcome.

The rooms have seen better years. We were in one of the honeymoon suites with a balcony directly overlooking the beach and the ocean which truly is wonderful. A cool beer on that balcony in the evening was something to look forward to every day ;-) However, they are definitely in need of some refurbishment. I'm not sure if I would have been entirely happy if it had actually been our honeymoon. Nevertheless, the room was always clean, has tea/coffee making facilities and a fridge which helps counter the rather pricey cost of a beer in the hotel bar. Hotel bar prices consistent with prices outside the hotel but you can't beat the prices from the supermarket.

The system they have for f&b payment is annoying. We paid a deposit and charged to our room at meal times but they clearly don’t use this as normal practice so we were doubted every time we tried to do it. I don’t want to carry cash/ cards in the hotel constantly but I hated being questioned whether I was telling the truth that I could charge to my room multiple times a day. I even got accused of not paying on the first evening as they thought I hadn’t left card details with reception. It was humiliating and there was no apology.

the location is good and we had good time. The Indian restaurant is fabulous and the chef Paul is superb. All the staff is friendly and helpful. Sushi restaurant is a must if you like the typo

A fantastic and memorable stay!! (British couple, 30 years old) After reading a few reviews this hotel really surprised us! Me and my partner are quite active and wanted a nice hotel that wasn’t overly expensive, as we weren’t planning to spend everyday at the pool/beach. However on the days we did spend at the beach/pool it was lovely thanks to the friendly staff! Special and massive shout out to this amazing team… Shivraj the manager and the bar staff.. Wellem, Jovan, Hari, Denilson, xx Monica xx, Ezra, Jessica, Shareen and Lovely!! These people made our stay so special and we’re always pleased to see us!! thank you very much!! Pool was a lovely temp and although the pool beds are limited they are comfy. (I did get up early about 7/7:30am to get our towels on the bed ASAP!) The service by the pool and bar was very good, the staff are so friendly and really made us feel special! Coral Strand hotel has the best beach front out of all of the hotels along that beach! It was always clean, always enough beds, stunning sunset if your lucky enough with the weather! Me and partner walked along this beach everyday it was beautiful! The hotel put on a special do on the beach I is night with cocktails music and food.. they posted our invitation through the door. That was a nice touch! Thank you! Breakfast was good, omelette station, bacon, beans, pancakes, waffles, fruit, porridge, yoghurt, breads and pastries etc. Brewed coffee and tea, no cappuccinos/lattes included! Food recommendations for lunch at the pool.. chicken shawarma wrap and fries was my fav, chicken club sandwich, bbq chicken wings and pizzas are very good! We didn’t eat dinner at hotel as we opted for breakfast only. Rooms…We had the ocean view room which was lovely, could hear the sea waves crash every night. The room was clean and comfy with a balcony looking straight at the sea!

I arrived at the hotel and was warmly greeted by the lovely bellboy, who offered me a drink as I settled down with the delightful receptionist. The welcome was truly heartwarming. The hotel itself is stunning, located right by the beach, and the staff are exceptional, demonstrating great customer service and attention to detail. Leona, the gardener, was particularly lovely and took the time to explain the tortoises to me, which I enjoyed visiting every day. Rita from guest relations was also welcoming and provided me with information about the various tours available. She greeted me daily with a beautiful smile, making me feel truly at home. The main person who looked after me was Juliette from housekeeping. I cannot recommend her highly enough; she ensured my room was maintained to an excellent standard and was incredibly friendly. I had a little accident in room 330, and Juliette handled it exceptionally well, exceeding my expectations. She greeted me every day and always sent her team to check in on me, which made me feel so welcome. I was genuinely happy to meet Juliette; her kindness made my stay memorable. I've already recommended this hotel to my parents, who will be coming in September to celebrate their anniversary. I highly recommend this hotel, and Juliette deserves a big shout-out for being an amazing employee and a true asset to your establishment.

The best thing about the property apart from its location,, which was stunning - right on the beach, was the staff. Every member of staff was extremely friendly and helpful from the manager to the workmen around the property. They always had smiles on their faces and really looked to enjoy their jobs, which was lovely to see. The ladies on reception always asked how your stay was and if there was anything they could do for you. The food and cocktails at the poolside bar were good. In the early evening you could sit watching the sunset from the poolside bar. We ate at the Indian restaurant at the hotel a couple of times and the food there was excellent - definitely worth a visit during your stay. The chef came out to speak to everyone which was a really nice touch.

There was nothing we didn’t really like about the property - the rooms were a little dated, due to the age of the hotel, but they had everything you needed in them and the bed was comfortable. The cleaning ladies and men did an excellent job cleaning the rooms each day. Just some minor improvements - such as offering everyone a small bowl of crisps/nuts/snacks with their drinks from the poolside bar would be a nice touch. We did ask if there were any snacks and were given some nuts but these weren’t offered unless you asked for them. I think water should also be included in the price of the buffet dinner.
