The location, breakfast and swimming pool is fulfill with the Hospitality, kindness, helpful and very good heart of every single member from the palazzo, the restaurant and the shop!! From the bottom of my heart, I would say big thank you for every single member of the palazzo who make our stay really feels like home. I've been traveling around the world, I have been traveling in Chianti for about 23 years and I have only few places that I would called "home", as you. We stay 5 nights in this beautiful palazzo Squarcialupi and I would say please keep this beautiful wonderful every member you have. I will for sure will always come back to this place in the future and I will tell the whole world how wonderful you are. Not only that Chianti has stolen my heart for 23 years, but the member of Palazzo Squarcialupi for sure has stolen my heart and learned me very good things in life, that is the reason I called you home. Once again, thank you.

Our room was on the first floor. Off the elevator there were still two small sets of steps to get to the room. Our room was large and overlooked the street below. Since traffic is only allowed on the street for an hour in the morning and afternoon, there was no noise. The room had a closet, safe and mini fridge. Bathroom had tub, shower and bidet. There was a spa in the basement with steam room, sauna and hot tub which I took advantage of every afternoon. The included breakfasts were fantastic. Everything you could possibly want. We ate dinner one night at the motel and it was very good. There were two restaurants across the street and multiple places to eat within easy walking distance. Also, lots of shops to explore. There is a pool which was not open when we were there.

Parking is in a private gated lot and is located behind the facility and down stairs and is a bit of a walk. Too far to carry luggage which is why the road is open for vehicles for a while in the morning and afternoon.

Welcome on arrival and all staff interaction throughout our stay was friendly and very helpful. Cocktails in the bar (negroni and approx spritz) were fabulous. The shower was great and there was plenty of hot water.

The room was light and airy but despite being assured of a city view, in fact we were disappointed to find we had no view at all; the windows either looked out onto a very small roof top which had planters of flowers on it or were so high up in the wall, we would have needed a ladder to see out. The location of the kettle was not near a plug.

This was my second time at this hotel and I will absolutely be back again. The view off the back balcony is incredible. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. We love the walkability of the area - dinner, some shopping, and a nice treat.

The signage from the parking lot to the back entrance needs improvement. There was one poorly placed sign and walking through that area for the first time, in the fog, at night, was confusing to say the least.

What a wonderful hotel, right in the heart of Castellina in Chianti! The staff were extremely helpful and polite. Our rooms were large and comfortable. We had a view onto the main street in the village, but it was very quiet despite the activity right below us. The breakfast buffet was amazing, as was the terrace view while eating it! It was very near great restaurants and bars, and provided parking for our car. I would definitely stay here again when in Chianti!

Center of a very nice town to relax and visit the Tuscan Hill Towns and Chianti wine region. The staff was very helpful in all areas and well connected with the businesses in this very pleasant town.

Nothing, BUT pay close attention to the directions they send to be able to drive and park at the property! The old city is only open to vehicles during very narrow windows each day.

The location was excellent being right in a quaint little town. The staff was excellent- pleasant, friendly, and very helpful, in spite of our language barrier. The breakfast was everything we needed and more along with several choices of pastries. The grounds were beautiful and well-kept. We enjoyed the pool- so peaceful. Since we didn't have a car, it was great to stroll along the street hopping into stores and restaurants. We experienced a downpour but I was glad I packed lightweight ponchos. We dipped into a restaurant and had a great meal.

Beautiful hotel and rooms, not too crowded even in peak season (it was always easy to have a table outside for breakfast to enjoy the magnificent view), great value for money, nice location in a street with lots of restaurants and shops, welcoming to children even though it's not primarily intended as a family hotel (baby cots and baby chairs are available).

Difficult accessibility with luggage due to traffic restrictions (the latter being a good thing in itself).

Hotel Palazzo Squarcialupi is a great historic hotel with great charm The hotel lays in Castellina village a very nice and cosy place with many nice shops and restaurants. The hotel has its own wine ship and great wine cellar absolutely worthwile to visit and tast some good wines. The restaurant is also great and can be highly recommended. Breakfast is also served in the same restaurant that also includes a beautiful terrace with view over the valley below.

My room was big and airy with a lovely bathroom and seating area with a sofa and tv. The bed was very comfortable and the air-conditioner was a welcome addition! The location of this hotel was incredible, right in the middle of the pedestrianised part of Castellina in Chianti. The views from the patio (where you could eat breakfast or have an afternoon drink) were amazing! I wish I had brought my swimsuit so I could try the spa facilities and swimming pool - but will save that for next time! I also really appreciated the care and attention of the staff, who gave recommendations and helped me book a massage. There is also the most AMAZING gelato store in Castellina in Chianti - the main store is a five minute walk out of town, but they have a small branch JUST beside the hotel. Very worth a visit at least once a day!

The room could have had an anti-mosquito device, but that is a very minor comment!
