Our host was very kind and helpful, he gave us a lot of information and tips what to visit, where to eat.
Public transport was sometimes unreliable which has nothing to do with the accommodation, it's just how it is in Catania.

The owner had helpful information about the transportation and how to get around the city. The room is located in an apartment not too far from the city center. The room was small but ok for two person.
The room had simple facilities, most of the thing are old and not to modern. Since the room was small and the bathroom door didn't close properly we had canal odor in the room on the first night. The second night was ok. We didn't expect much for the money we paid but it was still below our expectations.

the room was small for three people. The third bed was not a regular bed, but put there as temporary. The free parking is street parking, but it is impossible to find any parking space. the host charged us $10 per day to park the car in private parking lot, which was not listed in the booking.com nor communicated with us via Booking.com message function. the bathroom had strong unpleasant smell. the single apartment was remodeled to five rooms for tenants, which is dangerous.
