The breakfast was the best we’ve had in a long time. It had a full range of food options. We loved how they served fresh fruit and yogurt as well as sweet and savory foods. The coffee was also great. The only thing missing was some egg options. The room was large and clean and the bathroom was very good with all the amenities. We had a small Juliet balcony which allowed us to either fresh air or the air conditioning on. The staff were extremely helpful and happy.

This was an amazing place to stay at, we were in Chieti as part of a two week vacation in Italy. Our son lives in Chieti and recommended we stay here and he was not wrong! Both Andrea and Chiarra were very helpful and attended to anything we needed. The entire place was extremely clean, which is important to us, and the rooms were well designed with a mix of historical accents along with modern touches. We stayed four days. The location can’t be any better, there is a great piazza right downstairs in front of the building with the best coffee ☕️ cafe which also served amazing small plate foods throughout the day. It’s great to walk around the streets with all the little artisans and food places, there is also a beautiful park to walk through close by. We ate at three exceptional local places serving local, organic dishes. The breakfast was really nice with a good variety of local juices, sliced cheese, meats and plenty of fruit and yogurt. Chiarra makes a great coffee and greeted us each morning. We also were able to purchase a few great little gifts 🎁 right in the lobby all made in the town. We would strongly recommend this place and a visit to Chieti, the views are amazing and after visiting Italy many times, I can say this town is a hidden gem. Lucia, Mia, Mark From America

Nothing, this really was a great place and well run.

The Breakfast was fantastic. The location was lovely but what was missing was a warning that it is difficult to approach the hotel by car. As my wife is disabled, this is very important for us. Better directions are required! We had looked forward to dining at the Hotel but dinner is no longer being served routinely for casual guests because of COVID. This is quite understandable but it was a pity we were not warned in advance. Nonetheless, the staff tried to make up for this by offering to bring back pizza from a nearby pizzeria. In the end, there was a pizza restaurant nearby , the Civitella, where we had an absolutely delicious meal. So there are problems, but they can easily be fixed. The Antico Borgo is, indeed, a charming little hotel in the very heart of a charming Italian town.

Lovely centrally-located hotel in Chieti with very pleasant, welcoming staff. The room was comfortable and very clean with lots of toiletries provided.

Our room was on the top floor and it was quite hot, the air-conditioning didn’t seem to work and as reception closed at 21.00 we couldn’t complain. However it was a minor issue as we only stayed did one night.

We arrived late after a long drive but were greeted with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. A basic accommodation but had everything you needed. For a few extra euros you could have extra breakfast (eggs etc) and the staff were great. A young team but very professional. Would stop there again.

Parking was tricky but it's an old town so expected.

The hotel is in a perfect location in the old part of the city. It is a short and easy walk to restaurants, bars, museums, the theater, and the park. The staff is welcoming, accommodating, and knowledgeable of the area.

Antico Borgo Chieti is superbly located. Just steps away is the town center with beautiful shops, cafes/restaurants, pharmacies. I booked a double room with special requests of quiet room,1 Queen Bed and beautiful stone ceiling, all were graciously honored. The bathroom facilities are splendid with fantastic shower/toiletries provided. Bedding was extremely comfortable, refrigerator/closets excellent. Breakfast each morning is fantastic to include prosciutto, salami, cheese, fresh fruit, yogurt along with freshly baked pastries that are outstanding. Due to COVID, your selections are served to you by the amazing hostess. Additional breakfast items are also offered. The hotel is extremely clean with excellent COVID precautions in place. A must do in Chieti is to visit the Museo Archeologico Nazionale Villa Frigerj. Spectacular artifacts and history documentation of Chieti and surrounding areas. Also visit inside the churches, they are beautiful and reminiscent of village life. A special thank you to the hostesses extremely friendly, extensive conversations we shared along with directions and restaurant recommendations. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Antio Borgo and Chieti, it is a wonderful place.

Loved Everything

The B&B is nicely equipped, clean and comfortable. It is located in the historical centre of Chieti. The breakfast was rich for being in Italy. There is nothing to complain about.

Stayed in a room with stone and wood beamed ceilings. Clean, modern amenities. Good breakfast offering choice of sweet and savoury items, juices, coffee, tea, water. Due to covid-19 restrictions, you choose items and the server plates them and brings them to your table. Short walk to shops, cafés, restaurants, historical landmarks. Hotel located between two one-way streets and one of them requires a permit to enter (available from hotel reception) and reach parking areas. Otherwise there are numerous free parking spaces approximately 3 minutes away.

Helpful friendly staff. Hotel position is great. A good breakfast provided at a very reasonable price.
