The staff here are exceptional. They are unfailingly helpful, always very friendly and appear to love their jobs as they are so happy! The hotel is in a wonderful position overlooking the harbour and at the end of the main street, so really close to everything in Chioggia. The beach in Sottomarina is an easy 25 min walk too. Our superior Laguna was very comfortable and a pleasure to come back to with a really comfortable bed. It was quiet too which is always a bonus. Breakfast was good. There is a plentiful selection of fruit, pastries, meats, cheeses and hot breakfast items etc. The breakfast room overlooks the harbour on the 2nd floor which is a lovely way to start the day

We had one 'gift' of a bottle of water on arrival but thereafter it was chargef for,- bit mean? We have travelled extensively and it is quite usual to provide at least one bottle per day.

We had a very special stay here which began with an upgrade to a large room with views over the venetian lagoon. The room felt recently refurbished and had fantastic views. There was lots of bustle under our first floor windows but no noise at night. Staff on front desk could not have been more welcoming or helpful. The room was very clean with a great shower and very comfy big bed. Breakfast was exceptional with a huge range of options in a buffet style-not necessarily good for you but some wonderful homemade cake. They made fresh orange juice and coffee if you didn't fancy the machine made ones. Breakfast is on floor 2 with amazing views-try to get a table that looks out over the lagoon. Chioggia is undersold and is really like a small Venice but fishing is its main focus and is so fresh in the very good restaurants. There were very good boat tours and the non-commercial fish market should not be missed. This is a hotel on the top of its game!

I have no concerns at all--perhaps some might find it a bit tricky to get to but it's worth the effort. If you don't like fish, you might have a limited menu in some of the restaurants--but if you like fish, do go!

Staff were amazing 👏 they went above and beyond to help out. The area was superb, stunning, and hotel right in the centre of this little haven. Great authentic bars and eateries are hidden around every corner. Not the bustling madness you find in Venice. Very unspoilt.

It was very expensive to get to by taxi for arrival. Unfortunately, then upon leaving, when our travel plans had to change at the last minute 🙃 due to our port embarkation moving 🙃 there were no local taxis available, so we had to get a public bus to Venice! To be fair, the staff did everything within their powers to help. However, it was scary stuff!

Excellent breakfast served with both hot and cold selection with a varied choice and served in lovely rooms overlooking the lagoon , staff were excellent replenishing food and clearing tables efficiently. Had an evening meal in the hotel restaurant and the food was delicious along with excellent service. The room was modern and with good facilities and bathroom was well equipped with good shower. Pre arrival requests were handled very professionally and communication regarding the transfer requests was excellent. The hotel is extremely clean and although modern has kept original character which adds an elegance. Would definitely recommend this hotel and if in the area would stay here again. A gem of a hotel with excellent staff who are very attentive and make you feel very welcome

Gentle stately building. Beautiful location on the water. The room was exceptionally comfortable, contemporary, and intelligently laid out. The staff were friendly, proficient, and enthusiastically helpful. Everything about the hotel made it easy to enjoy this story book town.

It was difficult to get to for travelers without cars (this was not made clear). Best to take a train to Padua & pay $105 for a taxi. A bus is available from Venice, but not luggage-friendly and there’s no bus station in Chioggia, only a bus stop that is not near the hotel & has no taxi access.

Location is excellent. You are directly in historical center near to restaurants, bars and 'gelaterias'. Breakfast was wonderful. Coffee, croissants, yogurts, fruits, salami, eggs, bacon, cereal buffet, juice, ... and nice Venetian Lagoon overview from window. Room was clean, premium quality facilities. I highly recommend trip to Venice by boat which is combined with bus and ferry but entertaining and it takes about 1:10 to San Marco. Ticket cost 25€/person/day but you can use it in whole Venetian area. Still better than car, you avoid problems with parking. Cost of drinks in Chioggia center was surprising low, 3-5€ for Aperol Spritz.

Parking is not available. You have to find some public parking place or nearest paid parking is about 10 minutes walking distance. Cost was 12€/day (off season) in Parcheggio Giove, terrace on roof is covered.

Great location on the edge of the lagoon; numerous bars and restaurants a short walk away; hotel decoration was fresh and contemporary, though the building retains its early twentieth-century charm. Breakfast was great - lots of choice, all of it of a good quality. The hotel staff were welcoming and helpful. Chioggia is like a miniature version of Venice - canals, views of the lagoon, history, charm; but also much less busy and much less expensive. It's a great place for a quiet break by the water.

If you book a room overlooking the lagoon, beware that water-busses call by noisily from early in the morning to late at night - if you have your window open you will hear them!

Perfectly situated at the end of the island, the Hotel Grande Italia is a little gem. It is well maintained and staff are all superb! Richardo at reception was such a nice and genuine person! Air conditioning worked very well in the hot and humid weather. Breakfast was very good and had all you would want- except barista coffee (machine only). All in all a great stay!

Only a minor thing but it would be great to have proper coffee for breakfast.

Great location right in town. Modern property with exceptional staff Restaurant and bar connected to property.

Room was on the small side but nicely decorated and we spent little time there so wasn’t an issue. We were staying there prior to a cruise and it wasn’t as close as we had hoped. There is a shortage of taxis in Chioggia so be aware of this and book a taxi through the hotel in advance. they were awesome about getting us priority access and we saw others that struggled with transportation.

Good location before departing from the cruise terminal. Hotel was clean and the staff were helpful. Breakfast was plentiful with a good selection. It was my partners birthday and we received a lovely a cocktail each. Thankyou

A little confusing trying to find from the bus top late at night after a long day, Google maps did not help!!! The staff were on the end of the phone to guide us and pointed us in the direction to a restaurant for a late dinner
