Location, set back but very near the Lake in a great little Square of shops and Hotels. It is also very convenient for the train station with buses. The Breakfast choice was excellent and the staff were respectful. The sheets on the Bed were very very clean and good quality. I used this Hotel upon arrival in Como before going up the Lake for a 10 day stay and again on my return. It was a great stopover that made my journey pleasant and convenient. Thank you to all the Staff

I would have enjoyed tea facilities in the room, but with all those Coffee shops around!

Location, location, location! I have to admit, I was a bit worried about booking a hotel in Como instead of Varenna or Bellagio, thinking those were the main spots people visit Lake Como for. But at the same time, I wanted to be somewhere central, with easy access to taxis, food, and everything around me. Wow! Not only was I surrounded by amazing shops, but the plaza in front of the hotel was absolutely magical—such a great vibe and energy! There were fantastic restaurants, gelato spots, souvenir shops, and it was just a short walk to the ferry. The hotel itself was beautiful and spotless, with a refrigerator stocked with complimentary still and sparkling water at all times. The staff was top-notch, including the lovely lady who took care of our room—she was so sweet and helpful! If you’re hesitating, just go ahead and book it—you won’t regret it!

Don’t let the three stars fool you, it was a five star experience! We have stayed in Rome, Florence, and Venice before coming to Como but this hotel was the winner thus far! Albergo Firenze is situated in Piazza Alessandro Volta (that Alessandro Volta, there’s even a big status of him), five minutes walk from Lake Como and surrounded by some amazing bars and restaurants. I recommend Krudo- really delicious food, excellent whisky list and very good prices Back to the hotel- it is clean, comfortable beds, big shower and has heating/cooling. Views from the window are incredible. Breakfast is incredible- there is even a staff member to make coffee for you! The food was excellent, plentiful and the restaurant area was peaceful and picturesque. Just like Como We plan to come back to Como next year (hopefully) and will definitely be booking here!

Excellent location in a pedestrian plaza zone within walking distance to both train stations & all other attractions. Lovely looking building, nice clean room, perfect for me staying 5 nights (friends had other rooms). There were a variety of rooms, different sizes etc. Very friendly & helpful staff both in reception & in the dining area at breakfast time.

Very minor issues which didn’t spoil the experience: Apparently it could be a little noisy at nighttime with the rooms overlooking the plazza area. My room overlooked courtyard & there was little natural daylight, however I did manage to open the shutter! Plus was out all day so no big deal really.

Everything went well. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, the hotel offered an array of tv channels in different languages, the TV was new, the room was clean and even if it was an interior-facing room, the view was not bad at all. There was no noise at night and the hotel staff were very kind. The hotel offers an airport taxi. The driver was very kind and we got there in no time.

The only downside but it is as minor as a micron is that the shower sliding doors did not actually shut well and some water came out while taking a shower. This was in room 230.

Easy walk from San Giovanni train station with one suitcase. The location is perfect for launching out the door straight into dining and a quick walk down to the lake. Decent lift. The room was extra comfy and quite spacious, wth a lovely bathroom. Lovely linen. Super clean place. Staff were pleasant and very efficient and held our luggage on the last day so we could walk around before leaving. We chose to eat elsewhere to be outside but the hotel breakfast looked inviting. Easy booking process and an informative response, with regular updates before we left home. Recommend for any length of time and would be quite happy to stay there for a few weeks.

Located in the center with lots of great places nearby. We had a room on the third floor with a perfect view of the square. Even though the square was busy in the evening, we did not hear any noise in our room and had no trouble sleeping. It was our first trip to italy with our baby boy and we were surprised at how family friendly everything was! Everyone at the hotel was so nice and made our stay special. Will definitely come back to this hotel if we ever come to Como again. Can definitely recommend this hotel!

Excellent location, 5 minutes from lake & multiple restaurants and shops. Large room, comfortable twin beds. Bathroom was modern with lovely hot shower. Towels changed daily. Nice extra's e.g. hand wash, soaps, complementary drinks in fridge.

Air conditioning struggled to keep the room cool due to the heat. Minimum 35° outside daily. I would NOT recommend having breakfast at the hotel, was extremely expensive in comparison with other options available in Como.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The location is great - it is right in the heart of the Como town. Hotel is extremely clean; the staff are friendly. If you are not looking for a fancy hotel with a large lobby etc, I recommend this place. The place is very decent for a three-star hotel. There is not much space what you'd call facility other than the breakfast room, but it is not a big deal. The breakfast is in continental style and rich enough to get you started the day.

The location of Albergo Firenze was perfect for us - a quiet hotel on a central and lively Piazza in Como, close to the lake and the ferry station. This hotel was recommended by friends who stayed the summer previously and it was perfect. Although the room was compact it overlooked a lovely laneway and the bathroom was spacious with a good shower. Staff were very friendly and welcoming on arrival/departure. There is a breakfast buffet but we chose to have a coffee in the piazza. Plenty of lovely restaurants close by and in the heart of the shopping area. We arrived by train from Milan and it was an easy walk from the train station to the hotel.
