A comfortable hotel in a stunning location with amazing views to the valley. The room was maybe a bit dated in style but it was really comfortable, clean and quiet, and I had a balcony with a marvellous view. The breakfast was fine, and again the view! The restaurant Tonnini next to the hotel was very good has an amazing terrace. Highly recommended. The staff was really friendly. The hotel is right next to the historic centre so it's very easy to walk anywhere. There is a nice park next to the hotel, with a playground for children. All and all, I highly recommend this hotel.

I arrived by bus from the train station. My bus took me to Piazza Mercato and the walk to the hotel was quite hard, uphill with the luggage. There is a bus stop right next to the hotel on Piazza Garibaldi so if possible take a bus there.

It was quite dated. The decor, facilities etc could all do with being updated. Hair dryer was very old and attached to bathroom wall. Would be simple to add a new modern hair dryer to the room to plug in where you wish, with a better mirror / dressing table area. Shower was very old but did the job. Lovely place, just needs updating to be more comfortable. Cooked breakfast option would have been good as well.

We only stayed one night, after our friends left and we had to leave the AirBnB. Very well located as it's accessible by car, and by bus or taxi from the train station. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the restaurant at the entrance, which is not connected to the hotel is great too. There is a wonderful terrace with a great view of the valley below and sunny when the weather is a bit cool too.

The room was quite small and crowded, without a place to work, and the wi-fi extremely slow.

The staff were all friendly and pleasant and went out of their way to help you. The communal areas were beautifully furnished and exceptionally clean. The restaurant served good quality food with an emphasis on local cuisine. Breakfast provided a good choice of food items. Bedrooms were spotlessly clean. Location of hotel in relation the town was excellent .

The furnishings in the bedroom could do with updating. Parking at the hotel was €15 per night. Some free parking was available on the roads leading to the hotel but it was often difficult to secure a space and the walk to the hotel from these spaces was steep.

The hotel was right at the Piazza de Garibaldi bus stop. There were great views from the hotel terrace & our room balcony. The breakfast was exceptional with a great view. The best part of our visit was going Enotria Enoteca right around the corner. Silvia & her daughter made us bruschetta & Caprese to take back to our hotel. Our hotel restaurant was closed on Saturday. The hotel room was clean, & the bed was super comfortable!

Location was awesome for visiting Cortona. Also the hotel itself offers fantastic views from its location just outside the city walls. It was the best value for a hotel we had during our two weeks of travel through Italy.

It’s an older hotel and it feels dated. But it was clean and accommodations were more than adequate for a short stay. It does not have parking, but that is typical of many hotels who have great locations in historic cities. The hotel staff were very helpful in helping us find parking.

Perfect base to explore Cortona, you are literally two minutes away from the square. The views from the breakfast room are amazing! Comfy and clean beds, very friendly staff (reception gentleman helped us with finding a place to park our car for free), clean and romantic hotel. Would definitely be back!

Everything was great! Perhaps would be nice to have a couple of hot options for breakfast, but it's not a complaint.

We had 5 night in Cortona, Hotel San Luca was perfect location. The view from the hotel is fabulous. We had a car and while we could have tried to score free parking we used the hotel parking at 15euro per night… money week spent as the car was parked right outside the hotel entry! Breakfast each morning was a good selection. Would highly recommend.

Very good breakfast and friendly staff. The superior room is very good.

I paid for an upgrade to have a balcony and view however when I was given my room (comfort) the balcony was on the bottom floor and there was no view. The room didn't look anything like the pictures. Thankfully, when I complained, I was upgraded to a superior room with a view but no balcony. This room was much better and made them stay worth it. I would advice not to pick to basic or comfort room as there is a big difference. The gym was also out of use which was a shame.

The location is imply amazing, right at the beginning of ruga piana, in front of a magnificent terrace with a terrific view on the valley and on the hills. It's also located close to a very nice promenade with trees on both sides.

I have to say that overall the stay was amazing. Was there anything I did not like about the hotel? No. Was there anything that I would improved: not that I can recall. The only thing could be finding a parking. But this place is really nice and a lot of people want to come here.
