We stayed here so that we could visit the nearby Greek temples, which are an easy walk from the hotel. The hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient, both during our stay and with answers to enquiries prior to our arrival. The room was bright, airy and very comfortable. The onsite restaurant, Casa Coloni, was fantastic. The maitre'd suggested one of their degustation menus, we chose seafood, with a bottle of local Fiano a perfect match. There are also numerous options for eating outside the hotel, with the street between the hotel and the archeological site home to several restaurants, all full of diners when we went to look at the temples lit up after dinner. We stayed only one night, but were told of other local attractions we could have visited if we had stayed longer.

This was one of the nicest stays we have ever had in Italy (where we live and travel often). The Tenuta Duca Marigliano Boutique Hotel is really delightful. The early 19th century building has been very sensitively modernised and made extremely attractive. Our room was small but very comfortable with a good bathroom and big shower, and elegantly designed. There is a lift to the upper floors. The rooms look out over fields and are very quiet. The hotel has a bar, and an excellent restaurant where we had a delightful dinner. The maitre d', Michele, was very helpful and made suggestions that we were glad to have followed. I had one antipasto dish with calamari which will enter into my list of memorable taste sensations and I would not have ordered it if Michele had not suggested it. Breakfast was one of the best we have been offered anywhere, and the coffee was very good. The hotel makes its own bread and pastries which are both excellent. There were also eggs and bacon for those who fancy the full English. The hotel is very near the Paestum archaeological park. It is an easy walk but there are also bicycles available. Parking is off street and ample. I thoroughly recommend the Duca Marigliano to anyone who wants to visit the magnificent temples of Paestum.

The only thing to mention is not their fault. There is no sign on the road, so you can only find the place by the street number. It seems that the owner of the road frontage will not let the hotel put a sign there. I think the hotel should mention that in the booking confirmation email.

Beautiful hotel in lovely gardens. Staff exceptionally pleasant and helpful. Room spotlessly clean and comfortable. It has a fantastic breakfast: home made yogurt, jam & bread, freshly squeezed juices and wide variety of other food. Very quiet location though only a few minutes walk from the entrance to Paestum. Small pool for a swim at the end of the day. A really relaxing place, would certainly go again.

I recommend 2 days: 1 for the archaeological park and other for rest in hotel. Large room with Wi-Fi and safe. Gourmet breakfast: Highlight for buffalo mozzarella, buffalo ricotta, homemade chocolate and coconut cakes with little sugar, great croissant and yogurt and eggs and bacon for those who like it. Comfortable beds and good shower. The breakfast was delicious and the staff very friendly. The location was delightful with plenty of bars and restaurants close by as well as easy walking distance to the ruins.

The rooms were insufficiently soundproofed. You could hear the neighbors and people talking in normal voices in the corridor as well as music from outside the hotel.

Our stay was most enjoyable - an excellent location within waking distance of the ruins at Paestum; our room was very comfortable and relaxing; the breakfast was a real treat; and staff were always helpful.

It would be hard to fault anything.

This estate was in a great location walking distance to the Greek temples (which is why you go to Paestum). It was very quiet and relaxing. The staff were very personable and accommodating. We tried the restaurant, Casa Coloni, which was a great tasting menu experience! The breakfast was also exceptional!

Amazing beautiful hotel with comfortable rooms and absolutely incredible garden. Super friendly staff, very healthy and tasty Italian breakfast. Paestum main site are nearby as well as plenty of nice restaurants and gelaterias. You can ride a bike here and get the nearest beach in a few minutes or 20 min by walk.

the walls of the rooms in the attic were absolutely not soundproof. Noises as well from outside as from the neighbouring rooms were clearly audible, if not to say too loud. Really a pity in such a great facility
