I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Hotel Palazzo in Livorno, and it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a stunning view. The hotel itself is a perfect blend of historic elegance and modern comfort. The rooms are spacious, beautifully furnished, and offer breathtaking views. The staff went above and beyond to ensure every need was met, making my stay truly unforgettable. The hotel's restaurant served delicious cuisine. Whether you're visiting Livorno for business or leisure, I highly recommend Grand Hotel Palazzo for its impeccable service, luxurious accommodations, and prime location.

There was an issue with our room (dirty curtains and mold in the bathroom) and we were immediately upgraded to a suite. The front desk staff and particularly Andrea the doorman were excellent at every interaction. And my massage was outstanding, though I think it was a bit shorter than an hour (unless it was only supposed to be 50 minutes, but if it was an hour, it was slightly short.) But it was AMAZING.

The staff at the pool was terrible. One person was so rude to us twice that we decided to never eat there. We would have had dinner there every night if not for her. I wanted to be served a fruit salad at the pool. She demanded that I sit at a table. I said I preferred the pool, she scowled and stormed off without a word, clearly annoyed. Another time was visibly annoyed I ordered coffee instead of a drink. Rolled her eyes and said, "Oh coffee... " Another eye roll. I don't drink alcohol, and having a server annoyed by this is terrible. Same person, different days. Terrible for any hotel but a hotel at this level, is totally unacceptable. Also very difficult to get anyone's attention up there, although one guy wasn't bad. That said, the view and pool are amazing.

The staff were friendly and professional and went out of their way to accommodate my needs. Alessia at the reception was exceptionally helpful, she helped us with train tickets, room changes and generally really nice to talk to she really made our week a very enjoyable stay. The fifth floor bar was a great place to end our nights with great staff especially Valerio. Our room with sea views and balcony gave wonderful views of the setting sun over the sea. Breakfast had a varied choice to suit all and again staff professional and friendly. We will definitely be returning.

The History of the GH and the aesthetic was amazing! It felt very royal and elegant. The staff were very professional and decently helpful. The breakfast was decent and a nice spread. Our bed and room were incredible and the bed was extraordinarily comfy.

The staff were not helpful regarding information about where to go, see and eat. The only way to get anywhere was by bus and no taxis would come to the destination. The pool was lacklustre but still nice. I think paying the price for the hotel itself and then having to pay to use the gym is a bit excessive. The GH in general needs some maintenance on the pool area as well as paint in the rooms and general hotel. Other then that its all good.

The location of the hotel and the view of the room was exceptional. Also the restaurant was great. The staff of the restaurant (Fabiana, Elia, and Valerio) did everything to make our stay very relaxing and wonderful. The views from the terrace of the restaurant are wonderful. The staff of the hotel were also nice and professional. All in all, a very good experience. The Bagni club in front gives easy access to the sea (I would not call it a beach, but it was nice).

The fact that I had to walk around in the hotel with my credit card, since one could not charge to the room for the restaurant, bar (part of the restaurant), or even the perfume I bought at the front desk. Not be able to charge to the room seems to be odd for a luxury hotel.

I also stayed there last week. This time I had a classic room with view on the backyard. It was stylish and had a funny lay out with the bathroom around the corner after a sort of walk-in closet. A very nice extended breakfast buffet. Also the terrace across the road was special also on a windy day when waves are splashing over the balustrades. Location is just perfect with greatest view from roof terrace.

On the room last week there was also an Illy coffee machine. This was missing in this room which I guess was a similar package. But just minor point to improve.

What an amazing, beautiful “grande hotel” On a beautiful location, right across the beach is this “grande hotel” situated. During the checkin, we were told of all the possibilities in the hotel and received a coupon for complimentary drinks on the top floor. The pool there was very nice and overlooked the sea 🌊. The staff was overall very welcoming and friendly, and all were very friendly with our 40 kg, big, chocolate colored labrador. They lowered the room temperature for him, because of the heat wave, traveling with him was a small challenge . Diner, overviewing the sunset, with live music was such a beautiful and tasteful experience, we will always treasure this.💕. On top of all these amazing features, there was the breakfast buffet,a treat we have never experienced like this anywhere . All in all amazing 🤩 and great. We hope to stay again next year 🙏

Hotel location is great, rooftop bar with a seaview. Staff is very professional, gave us a 1980's kind of luxury experience.

Although it seemed like a great deal for one night in Livorno, the additional charges at the arrival (parking, city tax, region tax, etc) didn't make it to much of a deal anymore. The interior looks fancy (marbles, statues, granite) but you can see that over time things didn't get very well maintained. Room was cozy and quiet. Rust was visible inside the bathroom faucets, and front desk staff don't like to be asked too many questions. Kind of a get in and out type of experience.

We loved the building, an architectural gem, in front of the sea. The room was excelent, very spacious, modernly equipped but at the same time keeping the bohemian, princely air of the building. Breakfast specifically continental/American without the dishes specific to the English breakfast. Very good cakes and yogurt, respectively Italian ham and mozzarella, but not extreamly varied if you want to stay several days/one week. Excellent coffee

Parking price (18eur) taxed by no of nights not by arrivals-departure hours.

The breakfast had very much choice with al kinds of filled croissants. My room on top floor was modern and spacious with a bath that I used frequently and seperate rain shower. Had two sliding doors to a big roof terrace with view at sea. Staff was very friendly and I had a great seafood diner at the restaurant with a view at sea.

Swimming pool was bit cold and not so deep. But good for refreshing swim. They only had Heineken in the minibar in the room. More choice in beers was however available at the bar.
