The owners were a wonderful couple who provided dining and sightseeing suggestions and guidance everyday. Ample parking was a plus. Walking distance to Monreale Duomo, cafes and restaurants. Ample delicious breakfast. Wonderfully decorated house and rooms with beautiful garden and terraces. Stay here if Monreale is your destination.

All was great

Elvira and Santino made our stay more than welcome. Breakfast was abundant, good and fresh. Our room was big and had all the necessities needed. Parking was safe and secure in the locked up drive. Location is very near to the Duomo but the road is a bit steep. When we told Santino we were going to Palermo with our car he insisted we take the 35min bus ride and he drove us to the bus stop.....what an amazing host. Thank you Elvira and Santino.

The breakfast was excellent. There was a great selection of fruits offered and the food was delicious. Meats and cheeses with fresh rolls were daily. Fresh coffee, yogurts and filled croissants topped off the breakfast. The hosts were extremely friendly and really went out of their way even driving us to the cathedral. If you're familiar with the lack of parking found around popular attractions, this extra effort was really appreciated. The location just outside Palermo was great for getting into the city but also for a variety of day trips out to Enrice in the west and Chefalu to the east.

The bed was a bit firmer than I am used to.

The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. Location is good to visit Monreale old town on foot without worrying about parking and driving through narrow hilly roads. It took around 15 min to go to the centre of Monreale, it is a bit of climbing but not too hard. Our car was parked inside the gate of the B&B, very safe. Breakfast was very good: there were a lot of choices and it was delicious.

We loved everything about this B&B! The room was so clean and decorated with pretty antique furniture, the bed was very comfortable, the balcony was beautiful, the breakfast was fantastic. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and nice, and they went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. And the location to the town was great. You cannot get any better than this. AMAZING!!!

I absolutely LOVED everything!

We had an amazing time at this lovely home. The hosts were the most friendly and welcoming Italians we met on our trip :) They mainly speak Italian but with a bit of English and French non problemo! They were always happy to help with recommendations, which made us feel very much like 'at home'. The location is super convenient too, just a 7-10min walk up to the cathedral, maybe 10mins to the bus stop going into Palermo, and a few minutes to the next supermarket. Breakfast was certainly a highlight, sitting outside on the patio with fresh pastries. We stayed in the 'pink' room, which has an amazing terrace overlooking the valley. Overall highly recommended, such a lovely place, would certainly come again! Grazie mille!!

We loved our stay at Elvira's B&B. Both she and her husband were friendly and very helpful. They made useful suggestions of where to eat; we particularly liked Peper's, which is just a 10 minute walk from the property. The room was traditional and exceptionally clean, the large bed comfortable and plenty of hot water in the bathroom. We didn't expect the room to be 'made up' each day but it was. There was a wide selection of items for breakfast. Personally I would have liked some sort of cereal or muesli but they have to try and cater for all nationalities. Perhaps I should have asked for it! The property can safely accommodate several cars behind locked gates, for which we were given a key. It is suggested that car keys are left near the main door so that Elvira's husband can manoeuvre them if someone gets blocked in. That worked very well.

My only small criticism is the B&B's location on a fairly steep hill. The walk up to the town of Monreale might be hard work for an elderly or infirm person although there is always the option of driving. But at least you felt you've earned that beer when you get there!

The property was on the outskirts of Monreale and very quiet. Parking was available on site and the owners were very gracious hosts. Our room was very comfortable with a balcony that looked out across the valley and the ocean with Palermo in the distance.

It didn't affect us because we went to Monreale first and then to our B&B, but getting to Monreale would be a long walk nd a taxi might be your best bet.

it is the warmest stay of our trip, hotel is run by a very friendly couple who just made us feel like staying at a friend's home instead of a hotel. it has its own courtyard to park the car which is a big plus around Monreale. the breakfast is excellent with good choice and with good quality.

need to climb uphill to the norman palace and walk downhill to the shops and restaurants.

The B&B is in an exceptional location, easy to find and just a short walk (climb!) up to the cathedral. The hosts are superb, very welcoming, friendly and accommodating, and were perfectly happy for us to leave our car with them on the morning we checked out while we visited the cathedral. The breakfast is excellent in the quality, quantity and variety of food on offer.

There were only a couple of minor points - the shower and the pillows could have been better.
