We miss your phenomenal cheeses, courtesy of Angelo and your beautiful goats, home-grown tomatoes, jams, delicious cakes (thanks for the recipe for Molly’s fig tart!) and the fresh eggs from your chickens. This is a must-visit place in Puglia. We stayed in several similar masserias in Italy and this one was absolutely extraordinary. The hosts E and A put a lot of love and effort into the experience. You can feel it all the time and in every corner. You will sleep in historical tower which is restored with great attention to detail and on point design choices. We felt safe, comfortable and cozy, without sacrificing the historical and village feel. Breakfasts are done with love, from great local ingredients, we already miss them. Hosts are lovely, calm and warm, it was little sad to leave, but great reason to come back for longer!

What is not to like about this homey, historic, hospitable place in the heart of the Salento region and very close to some truly beautiful towns. It is so nice to have a place to escape the August crowds and the added bonus it is only you and one other party as it is only two bedrooms. It feels like you are staying at a family’s house but with your own privacy. The best part of it all the hosts Emeline and Alessandro, what beautiful humans who are accommodating in every way from a full guide to the best places to eat and see around the area but also just really kind people. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

The farm is beautiful, gorgeously remodeled, the hosts are lovely and kind, the location is excellent, the property is peaceful and charming. Alessandro made breakfast and it was the best meal we ate in our entire stay in Puglia. He made the bread, the cheese, grew the vegetables, made the cake, fresh juice…everything you imagine when eating fresh, local food in Italy. Emmeline provided us with a comprehensive list of cities/beaches to visit. There is a yoga studio on the property and everything was spotlessly clean.

Fabulous stay at Galeta. The second we walked through the door we were warmly welcomed by Alessandro and Emeline. We felt like we were staying with family. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and peaceful. The breakfasts were out of this world. All homemade and local ingredients, it was truly incredible and a highlight of our entire trip. The yoga studio is stunning and has everything you need. We will certainly be back again!! Thank you!

A location 2 kilometers away from the sea, a family estate and tower full of history, two wonderfully attentive and fascinating hosts providing a comfortable stay as well as local recommendations for restaurants and sights. The atmosphere will delight you: the laid-back vibe, the goats and the cows, the fresh and delicious breakfast made of local ingredients, the copious aperitivo on the rooftop, the end-of-day magical lighting on the nearby fields... And all that for a very reasonable price. If you are looking for a relaxing stay in the countryside but 10 minutes away from amazing beaches, don't look any further.

You will need to drive there since no public transit will bring you in the middle of fields, but this is part of the charm.

Alessandro’s masseria really gives guests a sense of the building’s history. It has been lovingly restored by Sandro who genuinely cares about Puglia, the landscape and its traditions. It is peaceful but a little isolated which would suit holidaymakers who are keen to relax and escape from busier towns and beaches. Breakfast was delicious and lovingly prepared with the finest ingredients. If you are keen to unwind and experience some genuine Puglia hospitality then this is the place to stay.

Chic, carefully considered and full of history, Masseria Galeta makes for a peaceful and authentic stay. We loved the beautifully designed apartment which opened out into the intimate courtyard. The breakfast room was truly beautiful, raised over the fields, where homemade cakes and taralli are served on stunning local ceramics. Alessandro and Emeline were kind hosts, offering their tips on the best beaches nearby and lending us a beach umbrella for our days our. We particularly loved the rocky beaches at Porto Selvaggio, Santa Caterina and Santa Maria Al Bagno, as well as the towns of Nardò and Galatina, all around a 30 min drive away. Due to us being there in August, Porto Caesarea and Sant’Isidoro were too packed to visit, so it was necessary to travel a bit further south. However the closer beaches would be perfect out of the peak holiday season.

All was perfect. We would have loved to sample the cheese produced on the estate, however we sadly missed the aperitivo when this is offered. Perhaps a little could be sampled at breakfast too.

Location is peaceful and quiet (we haven’t slept so well in a while and waking up to birdsong is pure magic), very convenient for exploring the area; beautifully and thoughtfully designed spaces; truly wonderful hosts - lovely, authentic, kind and very helpful; incredible breakfasts cooked with love, care and attention; we also loved our yoga sessions and hiking!

What a great stay! Alessandro was friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. This farmhouse stay had an incredible castle on sight with loads of cute animals and beautiful scenery. He also gave us a ton of info on where to go in the region. We were treated with breakfast every morning with fresh fruit, homemade cakes, and coffee. The stay felt private with only a few other couples on site at the same time. It was quiet and serene. The Family room was clean and had all amenities. the decor is also very thoughtfully considered. Excellent time, highly recommended. We wish we stayed longer! Gennaro and Christine
