The staff at the Villa Michelangelo are incredible. We got caught in a rainstorm in Nicolosi and a member of staff actually agreed to come get us in their personal car (luckily the rain stopped and we were able to walk back, but the fact they made the offer is what counts). That's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to how friendly, helpful and accommodating they were. The hotel is very unique and cute, with beautiful views. Had a wonderful stay.

It's hard to get a cab to the hotel. It is possible to walk to Nicolosi safely using the road behind the hotel, and it takes about 10 minutes, but it's quite a hike back up the hill. It is possible to get day tours as well. So you CAN get around without renting a car, but it's not as convenient as having your own car. This isn't the hotels fault and it's just a warning for future guests.

Excellent value for money. The room was spacious and comfortable. The pool was brilliant and spotlessly clean. The hotel was not busy at all this time of the year (end of May), which was a plus for it family. The location is excellent for exploring Mount Etna and if you want to keep away (like we did) from the hustle and bustle of Catania. Nicolosi has several shops, restaurants and bars and you do not have to visit the city of you don't want to.

Breakfast was okay, but we would have loved to see more of the local bread, cheeses and salami. Also, though the array of biscuits in jars looked certainly lovely, in practice the arrangement made them very soft and they tasted stale. Perhaps the hotel should reconsider the arrangement or get better lids. As other guests have noted, the fish bowl should certainly go! A proper aquarium would be a better choice. The hotel is undergoing extensive renovation before the summer season starts in earnest and I'm sure that there various snags we noticed will be fixed soon.

The hotel is a beautiful one and the staff is amazing. If you are there on a Saturday, it is a must that you stay for the weekly dinner dance they hold. The food was great but at this dinner dance and also during breakfast. Everything was fresh. The bed was very comfortable and our room was great. The location, just underneath the Etna, is ouststanding.

The room of the other couple who were with us was a little small and they tried to turn off the heater and they couldn't so it was a little too hot in the room. However, they decided not to tell reception of this, so it is undoubtely their fault.

The hotel was attractive and well-maintained, our balcony view was of Mt Etna. it is located about 15min walk uphill from the centre of Nicolosi, no problem for us. We chose the hotel because it is only 10min walk from Etna Parkrun breakfast is until 10.30 and check-out is 11.00. Only drawback is almost total absence of public transport.

Nothing at all

A lovely hotel, when renovation is done it will be amazing. The staff we met were incredibly kind and helpful, and above all very professional. It felt very luxurious.

Animal abuse. There was a tiny fish ball in scorching sun with two fish in it with absolutely nothing else. It was painful to watch. We tried avoiding passing by it. It is really quite insane. The hotel needs to do something about it. The breakfast was also pretty bad, but those fish kept like that is causing such unnecessary suffering.

It's a nice hotel with a swimming pool outside. It is nearby Catania, rooms were big enough, it's a nice place to stay if you travel by car as it is located in Nicolosi. Breakfast was also really good 👍😊 All of the staff were kind and helpful. We will definitely come back again if we'll be traveling to Sicily again in summertime!

The water in the swimming pool was cold but we stayed in September/October so it's probably just the weather at that time.

The staff were friendly and very helpful.. The hotel had lots of lovely seating around the hotel. They have a lovely dining room. We went to their food and dance evening, which was really good value for money and great night too. It has a pool too. Views from the hotel of Mt etna were fabulous.

Unfortunately for us they were having work done on the property. It is great they are refurbishing for the future. Our air con didn't work, and it was hot while we were there.

The hotel is built in a peaceful green area, we had an amazing view and we could also see a part of mount Etna from our balcony. The indoors of the hotel are very modern and the hotel was very clean even the rooms. The restaurant food was very good especially the gnocchi with pistachio for us it was a 5-star plate. For Animal lovers there were also very cute and friendly cats in the outdoors, anyways I would definitely recommend this hotel!!

We liked everything but we think that the breakfast needs a little bit of improvement, for example, we were a group of 10 people and us Maltese we eat a lot so when the ham was finished they didn't add more so other hotel guests had no ham for their breakfast. Also if during breakfast they can add bacon and sausages that would be excellent.

Lovely little hotel near Mt Etna. The staff are amazing, so helpful in organising our transfers to and from the airport etc. It’s a little dated in decor but super clean and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely with real, fresh coffee. The views are incredible.

The rooms are not very soundproof so if you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs.

Staff, breakfast was nice. Everything was nice. Pool, balcony, staff , everything. They organised a car to collect us from airport. Perfect, no bother.

That they sold caps for the pool and not everyone wore them. It was annoying that we did but other that didn’t were ignored.
