Highly recommend this hostel, also for longer stays. I loved the atmosphere, everybody was very social and it was easy to get to know people and join activities. The outside sitting area is really inviting. I also loved that it was possible to order breakfast in the hostel.

The indoor common area is not very comfy, a few more comfortable chairs or a sofa would be awesome. Also, the hostel is on a busy street and it's very loud, even at night (like, people blasting music from their cars at 3am). That's of course not the hostel's fault (and they even offer free earplugs :)) but I recommend planning ahead and bringing some good earplugs if you're noise sensitive like me.

I had an amazing stay at A Casa di Amici in Palermo. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, always there to assist with any questions or needs. The hostel’s central location is perfect for exploring the city, and the interior is beautifully designed, featuring a lovely terrace and a collection of musical instruments that add a special touch. The on-site bar and the affordable breakfast options made the experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere throughout the hostel is relaxed and inviting, making it easy to feel at ease and connect with others. The cleanliness was also perfect. I truly enjoyed my time there and will definitely return on my next visit. Wishing the entire team all the best!

A small suggestion for improvement would be to add a designated space for changing clothes in the dorms and perhaps more curtains to provide guests with a bit more privacy.

I am very satisfied with the hostel - location is good, only 10 min walk from Theatro Massimo, which seems to be the focal point of the city, and 5 min walk from ticket kiosk for city bus. The kitchen is spacous and equipped with all necessary cooking facilities and you can sit on a beautiful patio terrace. The staff are friendly and knowlegdeable and always available. The hostel organises various activities and gives you info about cultural events in Palermo and about shorter and longer trips outside of the city. I strondly recommend the trip to Zingaro - we spent a wondeful day hiking in the wilderness with our guide Arthuro, discovering the orchids of Sicily, various spice plants and interesting animals in the reserve, we learned a lot about Sicily on that day - from geology to cuisine - and there was a bonus side trip to the thermal bath of Segesta! I also recommend to you the folk dance evening on Thursdays on Bellini square

The owner, Claudia and her staff - Roberta, Timmy, & Alessandra we’re all fabulous!!! They were always ready, willing and able to help and more than happy to accommodate me with every inquiry & request I had!!! They were such happy & friendly bunch!!! The whole hostel and my room are artfully appointed! Common areas are thoroughly cleaned everyday & very spacious - dining, kitchen, even the reception & outdoor patio, so with the laundry drying lines, more than enough for everyone’s use and outside for fresh sun & air for natural drying agents!!! My female dorm was wonderful, spacious, good big lockers, table & 2 chairs and two big windows for fresh air! Conveniently within walking distance to the local & long distance bus station and LolI train station. A few minutes to grocery stores and lots of dining, cafes, bakeries, nearby.

Attractions and town center is about 15-30 minute walk, but one could take the bus very conveniently, a 2-minute walk to the bus stop.

Its in the centre of Palermo, in the distance of partying and good food. The locker in the common room are squeaky and if you try to make non sound while others are sleeping you will. And there are just normal Hostel things, like people snoring and peoples underwear on the ground. But yes the hostel is great, the people I met in the hostel were amazing, the staff is kind and helpful, a little over praised but its a tourist place so it makes sense. I loved my experience for sure.

The rooms were a little congested.

The location is ideal to explore the town. The staff is really nice and attentive. You have a lot of space to go around in the hostel, good internet and a lot of services that they offer like drinks, towels, umbrellas and tours! I met a lot of people of different countries and I had such a great time thanks to them too <3

If you're someone who can't stand noises, I wouldn't recommend it, although the staff offers earplugs in advance. Also, it could be a little uncomfortable to charge the phone if you sleep in the bed above.

This is classic hostel like the ones from days gone by. It has that vibe that draws people from all over the world. It is the people that make a hostel great. On Tuesday night we had common meal with the owners and staff. An evening to remember. If sleeping in a room with 7 others and sharing a bathroom isn't for you then I would recommend a boaring hotel. But if you are seeking adventure and want to meet interesting people from all over the world then come here to learn and experience.

I had booked 2 nights at another hostel, Sunrise something, and left after the first night because the place was just nasty. I was ready to bypass Palermo all together when someone suggested A Casa de Amici. What a difference. I ended up staying there 3 nights and really enjoyed Palermo.

I stayed there for 7 nights in the female room and loved everything :) Would recommend this place to anyone! my room had lockers, the female bathroom has two showers and it was always clean, the common area was cute and nicely decorated… there are train and bus stops nearby connected to the airport, the city center within walking distance, there are restaurants and a supermarket nearby :) the staff was always friendly and kind <3 will definitely come back to this place

It's a good hostel with plenty of space & good facilities. Very clean, and nice bed linen. The location is pretty good, about a half hour bus ride or walk from the central station. It's a friendly place, with spaces to chat, cook, eat, and work.

The beds creak every time you move. Noise seems to be amplified in the dorm. I'm used to sleeping in dorms, I'd just come from a full mixed dorm in Catania where I slept brilliantly - but here noise ricochets around. I was unlucky as there was always someone packing/unpacking, opening the metal lockers or moving about, every hour till dawn, it may be better at other times.

This is an excellent place to stay. You can meet many people from diverse nationalities. Very friendly staff. Nice prices at the bar. The rooms and facilities are very clean. I could also practice my Italian with the staff and the ambient is made to have a social vibe in the common areas. Very good location, near to the local fish markets and Quattro Canti which is the touristic heart of Palermo. This an exceptional hostel, also the train station close to the hostel for going straight away to the airport which is Palermo Lolli which is less than a 10 minutes walk.
