This is one of the few places that truly deserve the 10/10 Exceptional rating. I enjoyed every moment of staying at Mare e Sole. The views from the sun patio are spectacular! And due to the room's direction, you can enjoy the sun all day long. The room, as well as the entire property, was super clean. The bed was comfortable. Nights were quiet. Other guests were pleasant and considerate. The WiFi was available and fast. The owners did everything to make my life easier: gave me advice on bus schedules, found me a place where I can park my bicycle, even got me pizza in the evening!! I couldn't have picked a better place in Marina di Palma.

The breakfast from a Scottish “tastebud” point of view was poor. But in Sicily our hope is that someday they will learn to make a cup of tea with BOILING water and coffee as a long mellow drink. Something savoury would have been perfect like a “ roll and bacon “ or “ a roll with either a nice runny fried egg or even scrambled egg “ our host tried though to accommodate our tastes with nice boiled eggs. From the accommodation point of view though the room was adequate although soundproofing could be improved . Our evening was disturbed with the amorous grunts of a young couple whose libido was on fire. The volcano at 11pm was rekindled at 1am and 8am. Hats off to them for stamina.

Our room was at least 3 stories up , so an access door from the top would be nice. The hostess did offer to carry our bags up. Just wished she had offered more readily and eased my angina. At 78years you can’t get everything to your wishes though.

Nice place for a short stay, very clean and good breakfast. There’s also a mini bar in the room which we didn’t expect and it’s always very welcome. Really nice and helpful staff !

We had big luggages and there were many stairs to reach the rooms. The same is true if having kids, strollers or handicap .

We had a very lovely and comfortable stay and the host Laura did make us feel really welcome. The accommodation is in a very quite location so you will need a car to get there and to get around. You can enjoy your breakfast from the balcony ( really good coffee) with a beautiful sea view or garden view. Laura gave us some tips what to see nearby and how to get to the secluded private beach which only locals know about ( be aware there are no facilities ) You can also visit the Marina di Palma beach which is more busy and with facilities. There is very nice restaurant La Collina 10 min walking distance with a stunning view on the Castello Chiaramontaro and the sea.

This was a short one night stop during a week trip in Sicily of myself and my son travelling between Valley of Temples and next day to Radusa. We very much liked the evening and morning view from the balcony. The host Laura was very kind, making for us a lovely breakfast. She also recommended a restarant VIII Arco for a dinner, not far by car.

Kind host, clean, comfortable, room with good sea-view, Italian breakfast.

The walls are weak for sound-proofing, all happens in the neighbour, you will hear it well too. That is a pity, as the traffic is far from this house, so it could be quiet too.

Beautiful family little hotel. Clean, the breakfast was amazing and fresh, and the hostess was very welcoming! Super recommended if you want to scape a bit from the big cities and enjoy the peace of the empty beaches nearby!

Everything was amazing!

The staff was really friendly and the sea view was magnificent. The room was clean and beautiful, everything you need for a one night stay. The breakfast was more filling than I thought.

Great terrace. Funky colour-themed decor. Excellent breakfast. Parking onsite. Closeby seafront cafes/bars are good. Short drive to downtown Agrigento and Valley of the Temples. Comfortable.

Well-equipped and clean accommodation in the classic spirit of a seaside village (maybe better for a summer stay). Nice and helpful hostess who allowed us to use a small shared kitchen in the evening. There is also a shared terrace overlooking the sea where the breakfast is served (when the weather allows it). Within easy rich is Agrigento with its famous Valle dei Templi. The old castle of Montechiaro with beautiful seaside views is straight at the end of the village and you can also see it from the terrace (unfortunately it is not open to the public).

The breakfast was not bad, but could be richer (e.g. eggs or some home-cooked sweets, which we met elsewhere in Sicily).
