Good location, room was clean and fairly well appointed.

We arrived at 1:30pm and were not allowed to check in before the official time of 3pm. Of course the hotel doesn’t have to, but it would have been nice. Difficult to think there wasn’t a room available, it looked very quiet.

The breakfast was amazing. One of the best I've had with real scrambled eggs and bacon. Lots of options for all tastes. Location was perfect since it was easy to get to via car and once there it was easy to explore the town via the escalators right close by. This was the best hotel I've stayed in in Europe. The beds were super comfy so I woke up rested. Swimming pool was great. Room was a great size for my family of 3. I wish we had stayed longer than one night. We will stay here for sure again when we are in the area and tell everyone we know to stay here.

Perfect location with parking and a modern, updated hotel. The room was spacious, clean, bathroom was great (rain shower) and the air conditioning was fabulous. The beds were a little hard but had clean crisp sheets. The reception was extremely helpful and got us reservations both nights during a jazz festival so it was a miracle. La Taverna was exceptional. The best part of the location is that it's right outside the historic district but literally steps from the 5 escalators that take you right up to the heart of the city. I highly recommend this hotel.

Nothing because it was a wonderful hotel. One note - if you are planning to swim in the pool the towel is 2,50 Euros and they make you wear a swim cap which can also be rented.

The hotel was very well located, right next to the escalators that take you into the town center. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful serving eggs cooked a few different ways, cold cuts, fruits, yogurt, sweet pastries and bread as well as espresso coffee drinks. The gym was equipped with a few cardio machines and two multifunctional gym stations. The indoor pool was a nice bonus, especially during the chillier autumn months (you must have a swimming cap to use the pool, they sell them at the front desk for 2.5 euro). There was parking available onsite for 15 euros per day.

The amenities inside the room were non existent. The room did have a tiny fridge and a few water bottles for purchase, but there was no coffee or tea and no electric kettle in the room. The toiletries in the bathroom were limited to hand/body wash and shampoo, there was no body lotion nor conditioner. They provide towels for the pool but at an extra cost.

The hotel has been very recently and skillfully renovated. The rooms are bright and clean, and the beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are modern and well-lit, with walk-in showers, bidets, heated towel racks, etc. The rooms are spotless. There is a decent gym. The included breakfast is very pleasant - lots of baked goods, etc. The location is perfect - just outside of the ZTL and easy to find. The Rocca Paolina is a 2-minute walk. From there, you can take an escalator right up into the center of the centro storico. The Partigiani parking garage is convenient to the hotel.

I liked the modern room and the proximity of the hotel to the city center. It's also easy to travel by car from the hotel to places around. Staff is nice. Breakfast was good.

Though the hotel is close to the old city, you need to go uphill by foot, if you have a wheelchair. Others can use the escalator to go up, but it's not accessible for wheelchairs. I didn't like the parking, which is too small and can be taken by others. The room was too small and not suited for wheelchair. In order to reach the toilet seat, I needed to go over the bide. Dinner was noisy, and we didn't like the food. It felt like a common eatery. Mattresses could be softer.

The hotel is situated in a super strategic position regardless whether you arrive with your own car or public transportation. It is close (1 min walking distance) to one of the escalators bringing you to the historical center, to one of the parching garage of the city (extremely easy to access from the hotel) and to Santa Giuliana Arena (less than 5 min walking). The rooms are very clean and completely renovated with high quality in both design and functionality (strong sound proof windows, air conditioner, lights, electric sockets, fantastic beds and mattress, en-suite bathroom with all the wished facilities, when travelling). The breakfast offers a variety of food and drinks. It is situated in the original dining hall of the hotel. Last but not least, the staff were kind and friendly and gave us a genuine welcoming and all the useful informations to start our stay in Perugia. Overall, a perfect place and quality/price ratio. Without doubt, Sangallo Palace Hotel will be always our hotel in Perugia for the comfort, easiness and kindness of the staff.

There are no complementary free drinking water bottles and non availability of a kettle even though it boasts itself as a 4 star hotel! Asking almost bald man to wear head caps in the swimming pool! And to buy one from hotel if you don't bring one Front desk staff should not exaggerate about tourist attractions as it misled us ( Etrusion well) Look and feel of the hotel is 4 star, but its certain functions are not in par with 4 star hotel standards ( Electric kettle, poor quality toilet paper, use of paper drinking cups, no complemetary drinking water) Hotel has many fancy features like mood lighting in the bathroom rather than focusing on essential amenities

Three days in Perugia before a family wedding, this hotel is well positioned for exploring the city which is absolutely beautiful. We ate in the hotel restaurant one night and the food was very good, but the restaurant itself lacked any atmosphere with very bright lights and little ambience. The staff helped us book taxis to the wedding venue. Lots of choice at breakfast but not enough staff to clear tables so often arriving at breakfast with no clean tables, no cutlery or plates. There was a small bar in the Lobby with only one member of staff so getting a drink could take ages.

Not enough staff to deal with the number of guests at breakfast or at the bar in the evening.
