Very good stay for one night. Room was spotless and comfortable for our family of 3. The pool was a refreshing treat. Host is lovely and offered suggestions for dinner. The villa is just outside of the old town. There is a restaurant a few minutes’ walk down the hill but it was closed for holiday when we visited, so we walked the 20 minutes or so to the centre. This was fine for us, but may not suit some.

The room was clean and tidy, Silvana, the host and effectively owner of the place was kind and chatty. The garden with the table to eat outside and the pool are a great addition.

There was no separate entrance to the house, so effectively you would have to pass by the owners' living room to enter. The breakfast times are not very flexible (too early).

The hosts were lovely and so helpful. The villa is close to the centre but far away enough to be quiet and picturesque. We also appreciated the varied and bountiful breakfast spread every morning. Their dogs were also calm and friendly.

The villa has a beautiful pool which we would have loved to make use of, however when we visited it was being cleaned and serviced. This would have been good to know beforehand.

Quiet contemporary home with lovely grounds. Comfortable, firm beds. The breakfast! Host permitted us to make sandwich for lunch that was very helpful as restaurants sparse where we traveled that day in the spectacular mountains (San Biagio Plantini). You need small car- will be less limiting. Beautiful grounds!

Occasionally brief barking, but not intrusive!

Villa La Mattina is a feast for the eyes. inside it is ultra modern Italian style with many artistic elements. It is beautiful. it is clean, quiet, with comfortable beds and bedding. we had a one night stay, and it was great for recharging for the next trip to Ragusa. our host Silvana was delightful and breakfast was very good. Outside, the grounds are very nice with a pool that is open from 1 June to mid September.

Silvana was a wonderful host! Her home is lovely and she is so generous in sharing it. She made us a delicious cappuccino when we slept late and was super helpful with our needs as we were getting ready for the wedding we came to attend. She also helped us find a car with a driver to take us to the wedding and pick us up last minute which was hugely appreciated.

Our hosts, a retired couple, were very kind and gracious. They opened their home to us so we felt welcomed like distant members of the family come to visit after many years. The swimming-pool was close to the family villa whichhad great views over the town.

And made me the best coffee I had in Italy! - Rooms are private and quiet with everything you need, good wifi, aircon and heat - Perfect for an overnight stay after visiting Vila Romana

Nothing:) Except - don't book on B00king,com - they refused to honour a discount on my other booking and denied any discount was ever offered, and refused to check their records to verify my claim. Very disappointed with their service. Use Ag0da or another booking site. (This was not the hotel's fault).

Wonderful family owned B&B with a very, very warm and welcoming hostess. This quiet location offers an oasis of calm after days of sight seeing. The rooms are immaculate and the breakfast is homemade, delicious, and plentiful.

We loved everything about this property.

Villa la Mattina was a lovely b&b offering a pleasant room with comfortable beds with a little balcony with a view of the pool (not in use when we were there- too cold!) and the town. Fantastic breakfast and my son enjoyed meeting the owners dogs. Secure parking was great and it was an easy walk into town and a short drive to the Roman villa.
