The room was spacious, clean, and all amenities worked perfectly. My flight was delayed 2 hours & the host Gianluca was extremely flexible with my check-in. He took the time to wait for me to arrive so that he could greet me and show me around. The location of the apartment is fantastic. You are literally right on the port where boats can take you to Amalfi, and also a short walking distance from the beautiful walking strip along the water, Lungomare di Salerno. Directly across the street from the strip are various restaurants, bars, and convenience stores that were always lively. Also about a 15 minute walk from the shopping strip & train station. Thank you for making my first solo trip a great experience!

The hotel is practically an apartment on the 4th floor of a block of flats and consists of 3 rooms. The kitchen includes the reception. Personally, I do not like such accommodation but this type is quite widespread in Italy, and not only. Strengths: very clean, large bathroom equipped modernly and contains everything you need, large double bed with a very good mattress, good individual air conditioning. The block is very close to the port from which ships leave for the Amalfi Coast. The owner is very kind, he gave me useful advice about restaurants and shops nearby, he booked a taxi for me, he printed my boarding passes.

On booking.com appears "An Italian breakfast is available daily". Well, this breakfast is taken on the ground floor of the block and consists in a coffee and a croissant. Nothing else. It seems insufficient to me. In the room it seemed natural to me to have a bedside table next to the bed to put the glasses, the phone, the clock, various things. Apart from the exceptional bed, the furniture is reduced to a few metal shelves.

The place was nice and comfortable, in a good location. The owner is very warm and tells you everything you want to know to make your stay in the city a happy experience. Salerno and other coast cities nearby are very beautiful. Salerno has very good connection with other locations, for example one can go from Salerno to visit Rome (2.5 h), Naples, Pompei (0.5h) via train or to Amalfi, Capri (2.5h) via boat.

I would remove from the description the "Ocean view", technically it's correct you have a glimpse at the sea, but that is not what you expect. The view of the sea from the balcony is very tiny (see the blue spot in the photo) as it is behind the huge building in front, so do not expect to sit at the balcony and enjoy the view of the sea and it's waves, but there is a beautiful mountain view and the sea is very nearby to go to.

It was easy to liaise with the host. He opened the house on the agreed time. He was kind and welcoming and explained in detail all we needed to know about the facilities. During our stay there was no hot water in the shower. However, the problem was solved in a few hours. The day we left there was ongoing a marathon in the area. No buses and taxis were running for several hours. The host kindly came with his car and drove is to the train station.

The house is announced as a B&B. We expected a full breakfast with several options of drink and food, including fruits. It surprised us to realize that the breakfast offered consisted of two items, a drink and a croissant or similar. We had to go down to a next door cafe to get the breakfast. It seems that this is the practice of B&Bs in this country. On the last two days of our stay other guests came in. They smoked on the balcony and some smoke invaded the kitchen and dining room. The smell of smoke was not welcomed by us.

The location, close to the port and walking distance from the historic centre. The coastline is really beautiful. The room was big and very clean. The bathroom was big and clean. Everything worked good. It was pleasant.

The breakfast option, going downstairs to a very busy bar. I didn’t know which were my options, they only asked what I wanted. So I opted for a coffee and a croissant. The bar was crowded everyday. It didn’t feel cosy and relaxed. The shower was ok everyday, until I had a longer shower the last day, the water run cold after some minutes. I’ve talked to Gianluca, the owner, he said he was going to fix it.

It was a great location with restaurants and bars steps away. Both the Old Town and the harbor were very close. A bus stop right outside the door made it easy to get to the train station and sites. The room itself was wonderful. Our room had a beautiful view of the castle from the window. The room had new furnishings. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and extra pillows were available. There was plenty of space to hang clothes and organize other items. The bathroom was newly remodeled. It offers plenty of space to store items. The common area was very nice. The host thought of everything to make our stay wonderful.

We liked everything about the property. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Fronte del Porto is really the best! We enjoyed every little detail there! The location on top. The room is spacious, bathroom also. You have all the things you need in there. Air conditioner, smart-TV, hair dryer (very handy) on top. The magic touch is the kindness and warm welcome of the host Gianluca, it makes you feel like you are a local in the city. The informations about how to get around the city, around the coast that Gianluca gave us were really helpful. All in all, it was a pleasure staying there and I would repeat it without any doubt.

Nothing.

When I chose this property, I was looking for something close to the ferry lines, and indeed it is! It is a bit further from the train station, but definitely "walkable." Salerno is a lovely town that has many blocks of old architecture, then becomes very modern and busy. The ferry port is just 5 minutes away, along with the pier, the Piazza della Liberta, the Santa Teresa beach area, and a board walk. The main room has a table and chairs, small kitchen area with fridge and coffee/water, a couch, and a terrace. Our room had a lovely view from the window, comfortable bed, and very usable wardrobe. The bathroom was spotless with thoughtful amenities, a wonderful shower, and a drying rack (in addition to the other obvious bathroom fixtures). Also, for those of you who need good lighting for makeup, it had that too! The breakfast was just right. I've read some negative reviews from others about the breakfast, but honestly people, you are in ITALY. In Italy, breakfast consists of some of the best cappuccinos I've ever had, and a croissant or dolce. If people are wanting an eggs and bacon breakfast, just stay where you are or go to England. So, again, the breakfast was JUST RIGHT for Italy: A cappuccino and croissant (any type) at the bar on the corner. Breakfast was so good in fact, that in true Italian form, we stood and talked, and ultimately befriended another couple visiting Salerno from the opposite side of Italy during their 4 day weekend holiday. We ended up being tourists together on a memorable drive up the Amalfi coast. In addition, the Don Antonio 1970 restaurant across the street serves pizza that is absolutely amazing. Just make sure you get there early (it opened sometime after 7) or you will be waiting for a table. As far as food goes, don't leave Salerno without buying a couple (few) baba. These are lovely light sponge cakes soaked in a rum syrup. Oh. My. Gosh.

Absolutely nothing. You must remember that Italians don't sleep (lol) and you are near the beach, so you can expect a bit of noise from the street. Easily drowned out by running the fan on the air conditioning unit. I really enjoyed the sounds in Italy, so it wasn't a big deal to me at all.

Everything was perfect! I stayed in 3 different B&Bs in Salerno, and this was the best one. I had a large room with a balcony, it was very spacious, even had a sofa inside. Breakfast is provided by the cafe downstairs (which is usual for most of B&Bs in Salerno) - coffee and croissant up to your choice. Also, there's a common kitchen for all guests. It was super convenient. You can find knives, forks, plates, everything you need, make yourself a coffee by machine or a tea. The host is very helpful and can be easily contacted. WiFi speed was also good: worked fine for my working zoom calls.

Great location! We arrived by ferry and it was an easy, short walk from the port. Located right by the waterfront/beach and by the city center. Room was very nice, clean, and spacious. Balcony was a nice addition. AC worked great. Host was very responsive and helpful. We would stay here again. Highly recommend.
