This is our third visit to this lovely hotel, situated not too far from the Milano - Bologna motorway. Lovely modern room with double aspect over the garden and views beyond. The scent from the massive wisteria hit us at a hundred paces. The restaurant once again had a great atmosphere with a big happy crowd of diners. Excellent food and all staff very friendly and helpful.

There is a little road noise but it didn't keep us awake or bother us.

Staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful, particular when we needed help with finding a pharmacy for our daughter who was not well. The breakfast selection was excellent with delicious pastries and cakes, fruit, cheeses and meats, yoghurt, cereal etc. We had two dinners at the hotel which were fabulous. Only sad thing, the pool was closed when we were there late september, but as it was so unseasonally warm, we would loved to have been able to use it. Otherwise we would have given 10/10.

The directions to the hotel were a little strange but we found it.

It looks very cute and romantic from the outside. There’s a enough sitting space outside and there’s a swimming pool with a bar and again enough sitting places. The terrace of the restaurant was set up very beautifully. The rooms were very clean and quite spacious.

The is no elevator. The Wi-Fi doesn’t work on the 3rd floor.

Very good breakfast. Did not get to use the restaurant but was usually busy which indicated it must be popular. Attentive and friendly staff and most spoke good English. Lovely sized pool and surrounding area. Very clean.

A car is definitely needed due to location as a little distance from town but as we were meeting family was not a problem for us.

A lovely break in the beautiful countryside. The pool was wonderful, as was the breakfast. Our room was cleaned very well each day.

We stayed for 7 nights and could never get internet in our room. The only place we could get it was by the pool…not ideal. When I asked the first time, the woman at the front said she would check into the problem but we never heard back. A couple of days later when I asked, a different young woman only replied by telling me she could get wifi on her phone…again, not helpful.

The staff where super helpful and went above and beyond! Breakfast had a great selection and rooms where clean, spacious and had air conditioning. The hotel was quiet, with beautiful surroundings. There was even a mini fridge in the rooms.

Slightly out of the way, which is at no fault of the hotel. Would definitely need a car to transport in and out.

The hotel was great, in a quiet location tucked away from the main road. The restaurant was very good with attentive staff and excellent food and the house red was delicious. Breakfast was also very good.

It was a shame our room overlooked the service area as it would have been nice to open the curtains onto a garden view

Nice atmosphere. Parking is excellent. Space of room is great. Furniture is very good. Interior is nice. Check-in 24hrs outstanding for our late arrival. Breakfast is country side and offers variety of choices; good quality.

Bathroom had few littel damages. Lamp plug fixed with tape - no good. Room was to the east - side of pass by street; prefer room to the inside next time.

Lovely hotel with very helpful staff. The breakfast was very tasty and since we were there during the heatwave the pool was a must every day we came back from daily trips.

We missed some kettle and glasses in the room. There were plastic glasses in plastic bags but some basic tea/coffee would be nice.

This was my 5th stay in Salsomaggiore and this time I opted to stay (300 m) outside the town. This was a good move. The hotel sits on the top of a ridge overlooking the Po plain; and in the summer it must be lovely sitting outside. (I stayed three weeks in March-April when nights were cold.) It is an easy 45 minutes walk to the Palazzo dei Congress from the hotel. Parking of the car (with stuff in it) was no problem (P is an issue down town when there is a congress). The hotel felt equally safe. The room keys on a board in the reception where guests did pick/hang them was a good sign. For business reasons I had to stay three nights in the five star Grand Hotel where the breakfast was more comprehensive, but both the bed and the coffee were better at Querce (and that at a fraction of the Grand Hotel's cost). The reason why I want to come back to Querce if I have to work in Salsomaggiore again is the friendly "no problem" staff making me feel as one in the family.

I refuse to mention anything negative about this establishment because the staff [more than] compensated for the weaknesses. But I should mention that my wife (who did not join this time) would have complained about the (1 meter wide) corridor type bathroom. That said I hurry to add that I would not have selected the small 14 m2 room if we had been two, but a more spacious ditto.
