The location is a very easy walk less than five minutes from getting off the train. Very quiet location in old neighbourhood. Tranquil and relaxing. The staff make this place work so well as everyone is friendly and helpful. Rooms are very different so choose carefully. Our room for three nights had triple aspect, massive king bed but smaller shower. Breakfast was very good with choice of freshly made eggs, cake of the day, coffee to order and a selection of cereal, yogurts etc. ten minute walk down to the cliff top will find you the quietest spot on the coast with awesome view and a very good bar adjoining the Garden View Hotel. Great spot for sunsets. Best local restaurant was Moonlight which was also quiet. You can buy your train tickets at reception. Wifi is good. All in all excellent.

Our initial room was on the ground floor but on entering I instantly smelt mould and could see it in places. It set off my asthma and I had to leave the room. The only other available room was the bunk room but this was fine for one night and they moved us to a room upstairs the next day for the remaining three nights. My husband was not affected by the damp but it is an old building that has been completely renovated. I saw damp on the lower walls in several areas. Book a room upstairs if this affects you.

Everything at the Unconventional Hotel was excellent. We had originally booked for 2 days, but felt so comfortable that we extended our stay for almost a week. The breakfast is exceptional - a simple spread, made with the freshest of ingredients - I'd go so far as to say that it was the best food we had during our trip. Deluxe Sea View Room was spacious with breathtaking views through large windows on 3 sides of the room! The entire team of staff are warm, responsive and eager to help. This was especially true on the last day, when one of fell horribly sick - the team took excellent care of us, going above and beyond. Thank you.

This hotel is a hidden pearl! We found it accidentally few years ago during our 1st Sorrento visit and came back for the 2nd time this summer. We just love the vibe here - very peaceful, very clean, with beautiful interior. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was also very good. First time coming to Sorrento we rented a car and it was mistake because of limited parking possibilities and costs. This time we took a train from Naples and the train station is just a few minutes walk from hotel. Also we rented a scooter which in my opinion for sure is the best choice of transportation if you want to explore Sorrento coast. Definately coming back here!

What an amazing find. we loved everything about the hotel. the staff were always happy and eager to help. we were given great restaurant recommendations in the area. Train station very close and it was easy to get to different locations. you can walk into Sorrento but we often opted to use the train. Absolutely would come back again.

Staff is incredible. They truly welcomed you as a guest. The breakfast was well done. There was no breakfast rush because they always asked which breakfast time you preferred and they were ready for you when you arrived. Super chilled and relaxed atmosphere.

Staff was very nice and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent. Nice view of mount Vesuvius.

The hotel advertised parking but there was an extra charge for it and had to walk over 2 blocks to the parking garage. Asked for a double bed but bunk beds were provided.. Fairly far from centro.

Very friendly and helpful staff!! Looked after our bags after checkout and even made us a boxed breakfast for when we had to be away earlier in the morning. Hotel was very clean and bright. We felt very safe, especially with the 24 hour reception. We had a wonderful stay and hope to be back soon, thank you :)

there was an alarm somewhere near our room that went off very early each morning. it was loud

Very clean, very beautiful rooms and lobby, the colors were matching, beds were super comfortable, the light system in the room was well-thought and very comfortable. The window view was to the garden which was very cosy.

There was no kettle in the room to make tea in the evening. It is the only thing that was missing but it is an important one.
