• Lovely hotel in the countryside near Siena! • The staff is very kind. • A rentalcar is helpfull to go to Siena, altough you can take a taxi for about 8 euros I’ve been told. There is free parking in Siena , and from there a ten minute walk to Piazza del Campo through the lovely streets of Siena. • From the hotel it’s about 60 minutes by car to Pienza, 45 minutes to San Gimignano and only 15 minutes to Monteriggione. •Breakfast: lovely fresh baked bread,croissants with different fillings, scrambles eggs with bacon, yoghurts, fruit, toast etc. And very good cappuccino/coffee. You can sit inside or outside overlooking the garden with olivetrees. • Swimmingpool: is very nice size, clean , chairs alleays available, never crowded, shade or sun you can choose where to sit and enjoy the Tuscan hillviews.

It’s a beautiful hotel in a lovely, peaceful setting with gorgeous views. The rooms were very clean and pleasant with very comfortable beds and fantastic (silent) air conditioning. The breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice. The staff could not have been more helpful and are one of the best points of the hotel. They were always friendly and booked us taxis and reservations at restaurants. One of our favourite things was the pool which was clean, a great temperature and it never got too crowded. There was a nice terrace to sit outside with drinks or breakfast. The bar is open 24 hours with a good range of soft and alcoholic drinks. We stayed 4 nights but we wished we could stay longer! The location was also good. We did not have a car but it was only about €10 euros for a taxi into Siena or there were buses every half hour (if you don’t mind a little walk). Siena is beautiful with lots of shops and lovely restaurants. There is also a lovely restaurant about 15 mins walk away.

This is just a minor thing. We knew we would need to go into Siena for evening meals but we had not realised at first that there would not be much food available during the day. There were sometimes a couple of sandwiches but these usually sold out quickly. So I would suggest getting a few snacks from a supermarket and keeping them in your fridge.

Hotel was very nice. There was a big infinity pool with plenty of pool chairs for use. Room was spacious and wifi worked great. The bar was open 24 hours and offered alcohol, soft drinks, water, ice cream, and sandwiches. Staff was always friendly and helped with calling taxi's, directions, and explaining bus routes. Hotel is a 30 min walk from train station and mall. Train station is just a few minutes by car or bus. Once you get to the bus station, the walled city of Siena is about a 5 minute walk away.

Honestly I was pretty happy with everything. I have no complaints.

Excellent service. Receptionist recommended an incredible Italian restaurant called La Veranda which is very nearby. We went there every day in Siena. My wife caught a cold and when the receptionist (an African Italian gentleman) knew it, he warmly served hot water and honey and sliced lemon, and taught me to stir them together and help my wife. That was truly kind of him and deserved very sincere compliments. Room has a good view for sunrise/sunset with beautiful Toscana countryside. A bit far from old town but easy to call a taxi by reception or catch a bus from old town.

Our experience at Sangallo Hotel was pleasant, even on a rainy day. The reception staff went above and beyond—exceptionally professional, friendly, and super helpful. His hosting skills were next level! The hotel itself is quite simple but adequate for a comfortable stay.

The room had a strong chemical cleaning smell, which was a bit overwhelming. Additionally, the location close to the street meant there was some noise.

Easy enough to find with satnav plenty of free parking. Breakfast was excellent, staff helpful, room comfortable, Only about 15 minutes drive to Siena city centre car parks. Nice pool.

Even though the daytime air temperature was in the upper 20s, the pool was chilly by 16 September (no covering at night to keep in the warmth,). There was a 3 Euro charge for borrowing a pool towel so we had to dry them in our room rather than paying each day to change them. No restaurant for evening meal - had to drive into Siena to find one open on Monday evening.

Well nicely appointed property with good views which is perfectly placed for a quiet stay when visiting Siena. Taxis can run you into the centre in 10 minutes and if fit you can walk too. A well run family run hotel which shows in the excellent & friendly staff. Rooms are small but well equipped, the bathrooms are modern with plenty of hot water. A very good breakfast is served each morning.

Nothing to report

This property is very well run. It is clean and tasteful, with an excellent and friendly staff. It is not in the town itself, but on the hill overlooking the town. The local bus can quickly take you into town. We just drove down to the train station, which was 5 minutes away and parked for 2 Euros a day. We then walked into town. There is plenty of free onsite parking, which is a great benefit to folks with cars. Lastly, great continental breakfasts! I would say here again. Great property.

Breakfasts is free yes but it needs a lots of improvement The bread looks that is been there for a few days it is hard and not tasty, the drinks if they call it juice wow ?? I call it water and yellow # 5 and you can see the people faces quiet, just because we don’t have other options. the winners, man the cheapest thing, why they treat us like that we are travelers, that food !!!! o well . Next question

THE BREAK FAST

The breakfast was great. Location was perfect if you didn't want to stay in the heart of Siena but be close enough to get there quickly by car or bus. The property was extremely clean!

Laundry service is very expensive and we were told it would be a lot less before getting the final bill. The bathroom in the room is a bit dated and there are signs of old water leaks on the ceilings. Definitely not a deal breaker and I would stay again but something to consider upgrading when you can.
