Borgo Pantano is located at about 15 minutes car drive from Siracuse/Ortigia so good location for visits in the area, Ortigia is beautiful ancient city centre with many shops & restaurants, the breakfast BUFFET in this hotel is soooooo big & fantastic, best breakfast ever (you can even ask extra eggs & all kinds of coffee etc) the staff is VERY friendly & helpful, the hotel area is very big with a VERY big pool with plenty of sun beds, also a very romantic and stylish restaurant in the garden where they offer lunch & dinner if you want (we had 1x dinner here and this was very nice) cute pool bar present, small fridge in the room, very large room and large bathroom, recommended trips: Palazzolo Acreide, Noto, Ragua Ibla, Modica, Scicli. we also walked the gorge at Cavagrande del Cassibile, FANTASTIC but you must have good weather and wear good walking shoes, it is a LONG walk down (along rocks) but so worth it, the climb back up is also quite hard but worth the trip! you must have a car when you stay in this hotel (free parking)

This was one of the most lovely hotels we have stayed in - and we travel a lot. Breakfast was wonderful, dinner was delightful and location perfect. But the crowning glory of this hotel was the staff. They really could not do enough for you. I really enjoyed the spa treatments I had. Unfortunately I became unwell at the end of the holiday. I was met with kindness and compassion and they even made arrangements for me to see a specialist on a Saturday lunchtime! I would love to visit the country again one day and would, without a doubt, return.

This is a beautiful hotel with really superb swimming pools and gardens. The external areas are divine and absolutely manicured with great taste. You immédiat feel welcomed thank to the staff smiles and willingness to help. The breakfast is a delightful sin… and the restaurant is quite nice too. The hotel is very close to Siracusa and even offers shuttle service to go to town. The location is perfect as a countryside gem. It is peaceful and close enough to visit Syracusa all day long if you wish. In June temp was above 30 Celsius everyday but even more in city Center. Bedrooms are nice with excellent AC. I recommend this place without any hesitation to visit the region and relax in the superb gardens and magnificent pools.

The hotel was perfect for our purposes, a few days to relax on a country resort in a beautiful atmosphere. The highlights are clearly the pool, the breakfast and the powerful AC in the hotel room. The reality also surpasses the pictures of the hotel. What should be clear about this resort - you choose it precisely because of its remoteness in the countryside. A rental car is thus mandatory to explore Syracuse and the surrounding area.

There is really nothing we can think of. Everything was exactly as we hoped for.

We discovered Hotel Borgo Pantano this summer during our holiday with our children (18 and 19). We just went back on a short getaway, just the two of us. Both times the rooms were really beautiful as is the whole location. The breakfast moreover is amazing - there is no wish that remains unfulfilled. And the pool area is so relaxing. Hotel Borgo Pantano has definitely become our Happy Place and we will come back!

Everyone was extremely kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and quiet, the beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was very rich with fresh food.. It truly exceeded our expectations. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable and special. We look forward to coming back next year. :)

The staff were lovely and welcoming, very attentive and helpful at all times. They went out of their way to help us with language and navigating the area. The room was spotless and easy to warm up/cool down. Also good privacy as well as space to mingle with guests. The free breakfast was amazing and made in house! We'll miss it. And the pools were luxurious. Loved lounging in the citrus gardens.

The overall atmosphere is just amazing, especially due to the garden, pool area and the decorations around the property. Staff is very helpful, super friendly and exceptionally attentive. The same applies to the elegant owner-this place is really something special😊

If you are looking for a relatively remote facility with an excellent pool and surroundings, this is the place for you. It offers all you could ask for and the breakfast is superb. Restaurant offered a very good menu.

This was only a negative for us as a couple, peak season for families and children of course which did not suit. Some facilities could do with updating.

At first, I cannot emphasize breakfast. You can meet amazing broadly based bakery, dessert, fruits and Italian breakfast cousine- Olives, sandiwiches, pizza, ham and cheese, and so on.. you can see beyond your imagine. Also you can enjoy fresh orange juice. When you check-in, you can meet very warm welcoming staff members. In addition, the hotel swimming area and garden looks like huge resort.. I don't want to mention the room condition..it is spacious and clean..

Because of very good water pressure, water overflow to the toilet floor. It would be better to build longer flexi glass on the bath tub or hang the shower curtain to prevent overflowing.
