The hotel seems to be a bit old and we were not expecting much to be honest. However, we were positively surprised! The room was very clean and spacious with a lovely view on the seaside and hills. We were watching amazing sunsets every day. The balcony was huge with sunbeds and coffee table. The food was also ok. The most wonderful was the staff! Very nice and helpful, always smiling! They fulfilled all our wishes before we even had the chance to think of them :) I definitely recommend this hotel. The Sorrento center was too crowded and loud for us, La Solara hotel was a relief for us as it is located in quiet part of Sorrento, up on a hill. There was a free shuttle bus to city center offerred by the hotel. Everything made our stay at La Solara AMAZING. Big thank you to all the staff!!!!

The breakfast was amazing, lots of choice. We also had dinner in the restaurant one night which was lovely too. Swimming pool is excellent, really clean, lots of sun beds and towels provided. Bar and snack bar available. Room was great, cleaned every day. Shuttle bus down to Sorrento was an excellent addition. Parking was easy and staff so helpful with moving the cars about. Staff were excellent, so friendly and helpful.

This place is spacious and the pool is amazing, enjoyed using the shuttle bus and coming back mid afternoon for a swim and drinks by the pool. The buffet breakfast sets you up for the day and is worth its money, didn’t have evening meals as the reliable shuttle took us into the town centre where we experienced local restaurants. I would definitely choose this place. Once you discover the lift in the cliff you can get yourself out for day trips as the shuttle drops you into town then walk to the lift that takes you to the port for your day trips to capri or Amalfi coast

The hotel staff was wonderful! Tina was so helpful in recommending us things to do and the staff in general was always there to assist when needed. The hotel though a bit outdated is extremely clean. I would even go as far to say as it is probably the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed. It was immaculate and the room we had was very big with a great balcony. The hotel had a great view of the sea and was in a quiet area a bit out of Sorrento. It is an 11 minute drive from the Sorrento city center, but there is a free shuttle to and from the hotel that was great. The breakfast at the hotel was good (a bit on the American style side, but it did have variety). I would definitely recommend this hotel!

The parking situation is a little tough if you are coming with a rental car, since parking spaces are limited, but there is parking.

The hotel is beautiful and is in a fantastic area up on a hill on the Sorento coast, offering a beautiful view of the sea. Everything was great -- staff, food, rooms, entertainment. The two rooms that we stayed in were wonderful with comfortable beds, lovely bathrooms and huge balconies. It was lovely to sit outside in the evenings to take in the beautiful view and the spectacular sunsets!

I was travelling with two older family members whose mobility was impaired. Both were using walkers which made accessing the breakfast/dining room and pool area difficult as there were about 10 steps to each of those locations. However, the staff set a beautiful table in the very large common room just past the ground floor lobby, so that my relatives could enjoy breakfast and dinner without trying to negotiate the stairs.

Location: The hotel is located in a great location on top of the hill. The shuttle service is great and starts every hours from early morning to late night. The shuttle brings you near the city center. Everything from there is walkable! Breakfast : Buffet and huge amount of choices. Really enjoyed it! Pool : Did not get time to swim but the pool looked really well looked after. Staff: They are the best. They would help you in any scenario. They helped us book cab in 30 minutes. Really great of them. I would definitely visit them again!

We loved the hotel and all the kind and helpful staff. The hotel has. Very family run feel but is professional in every way. The breakfasts were great. The hotel pool and sun lounger area was big and so clean and it never felt over crowded. The other guests were delightful. The shuttle bus to sorrento was hourly and a real asset. There is a lovely little beach within a 20 min walk down a hill but you can get a Tuk Tuk back up. We will definitely stay here again !!!

La Solara is a quaint hotel in the hills just outside Sorrento with magnificent views of the gulf. It’s spotless. The staff takes pride in the property. We loved the food at breakfast and dinner, especially the rich salad bar. The free shuttle to the centre of town is convenient and frequent.

The property’s signage on the street is so misleading that it caused us to take a wrong turn down a narrow and dangerous country road with almost no room to turn back. Please fix this.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Very friendly staff who were really helpful and kind. Nice, spacious room, nice balcony with a great view overlooking the sea. Good for those with a car because there is free car parking. Free shuttle into Sorrento was really useful too. We had a lovely time.

The staffs are super nice & friendly, all of them are very concerned to all the hotel guests. The receptionist and the staffs of the restaurant are really helpful.

Interieur is a bit old and the pillow is a bit hard….
