Beautifully restored 600 year old house where parents of the applicants to the adjacent convent would stay. The rooms have been restored to the original feel and look of that time, yet modern and pristine. Breakfast is lavishly served at a terrace overlooking the mountain where St Francisco of Assisi might have walked. Peaceful, comfortable, delicious. Parking is free and easily accessed about 100 M away. The Hotel is right in the town of Spoleto, offering many interesting walks and shopping. Our hosts, the Hotel owners and restorers were gracious and helpful and we enjoyed their company, as well as the staff that serves the breakfast.

Delicious, varied, home cooked breakfast, that included fruit and yogurt, omelette or quiche, and pastries/cakes. Taken in the garden or garden room - very light and welcoming. Fascinating historical house which the present owner has renovated to an exceptionally high standard. She has lots of stories! The owner lived in London for many years as a self employed interior designer and this is no surprise when you see the property. Access by car is challenging initially but the owner “talks you” to the house once you enter the town so that’s a great help.

Beautiful palazzo in central Spoleto with a lovely garden and views. Sparkling clean, comfortable and a simply delicious breakfast. Lori and her team make this a special place - a very warm welcome, wonderfully relaxed but with attention to detail which is rare. Books, magazines and lots of thoughtful touches make this place special. Can’t recommend it enough.

The property was beautiful and walking distance to what we wanted to see and restaurants. Lori was particularly helpful in arranging transport for us from Ascoli Piceno and organising a taxi on the day we left. It was quiet and the areas we could access to read or to sit and relax were amazing. Coffee was offered if we wanted. Breakfast was outstanding.

Perfect location in the centre of town but combined with amazing views over the countryside and beautiful garden. We were in the lap of luxury with gorgeously designed rooms and a wonderful breakfast. The hosts were so friendly and went out of their way to help, including collecting us from the station when we arrived and dropping us off again when we departed.

absolutely everything, since the moment you put foot inside, you can feel the peacefulness, Lori couldn’t just been better, she is the most perfect host,, breakfast was amazing, everything home made. the room spotless, breakfast room unbelievable. Lori walked me to my room, and told me story of the palazzo, which it made it even more special. I would not hesitate if I ever go to Spoleto or the surrounding areas to stay there, everything Perugia, Assisi and nearby towns are within 1/2 hour to 45 minutes, just perfect. Thank you Lori!! 💖💝

The property was an oasis in the center of the historic district ! Beautiful garden to have breakfast and many areas in the building to relax. Lori and her staff were perfect hosts . You could not ask for a better experience. !!

Palazzo Sant’Angelo is without a doubt the highlight of our trip. The hosts went above and beyond and took great care of everything and everyone. You could feel that this is not just another “hotel”/b&b, but an extraordinary place where you will find peace and be inspired by the hosts themselves. We will be back :)

I stayed in boutique hotels, and this one was my best experience! Lori, the owner of the hotel, is doing an amazing job of making it feel like a private palazzo with amazing attention to details. just look at this breakfast! also we got a free upgrade ❤️

One of my favourite places to stay of anywhere, anytime. This was our third time back. What a special place. I can’t think of a single thing that can be improved - everything is always perfect.
