The rooms were clean and everything worked in them. Two pool options, located beside the lake. Breakfast was ok, repetitive as expected I suppose. The hotel as well as the general area is very relaxed, calm, good for a relaxing break. I didn’t realise before booking that the camping park was connected to the hotel, if I had of done my research better I would have booked a mobile home with a terrace and seats, we booked a room without a balcony and having either a terrace or balcony would have been a good feature to sit out in the evenings etc. if I was to go back I would defo go for a mobile home next time.

Tried to bill us for the full stay on departure even though we had already paid for the room. Table service can be a bit slow in the restaurant/bar.

This is a beautiful hotel with the great location, just a few minutes walk trough the camping area to the private beach. The breakfast was incredible! A great variety of local products, continental breakfast plus a lots of fresh fruits and chilled prosecco! The hotel restaurant was serving a good quality food, fish, pizza, pasta, etc. On the arrival there was a problem with the card terminal, so we have been asked to pay cash for the dinner, the next day the problem was sorted. The room we have been offered on the arrival wasn't great, as it didn't have a balcony, which we preferred, as we were staying with our dog. After our request, the next day we get a lovely room in the main building, with the balcony:)We just paid an extra 20 Euro per day for it, which was worth it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a free parking space available for almost every quest. We didn't have a chance t use a swimming pool, as we preferred a lake, but the swimming pool area looked very good. Our stay at Antico Monastero Hotel was very enjoyable and we will definitely come bac there in the future! Thank you Antico Monastero!

Cute hotel, quiet, peaceful. Loved the room with balcony, pretty roomy, comfy beds and a lot of storage space. Over 20 pieces of clothes hangers in a wardrobe. Very clean all over. Big pool and beautiful pool area. Good breakfast. Elevator is very handy. Friendly staff.

Some more sunbeds around pool would be nice and beter climatisation in rooms.

The location is great, close to beautiful beaches. The pool was clean and looked exactly like in the pictures. Enjoyed breakfasts - great variety and a lot of fresh fruit. Nice salad bar at dinner.

Our room had a shared balcony with other guests with no dividing so it was quite weird.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. The pool was fantastic and great for the whole family. Location was perfect walking distance to Lake and pebble beaches, and lake front path with restaurants and small bars. This either is not a crowded area normally or we hit it just right with timing. Not overrun with tourists. Seems like a favorite area for locals. Room refresh was done while we were at breakfast each day. Returned to beds made, and room restocked every single time. Recommend going half board, the multicourse dinner was delicious and great on the budget.

Though we had air conditioned rooms, the climate unit couldn't keep up with the heat. We averaged 30 degree Celsius days, high was 34 during our stay. Some uncomfortable times getting to sleep.

The pool was perfect, the rooms were clean and spacious with lovely balcony. Lovely breakfast. Great location for access to lake Garda

There was very little sound proof between rooms and you could easily hear tv and conversation in the next room.

Dinner and staff were perfect. Our little boy had 2nd birthday and they manage to get the birthday candle on a cake without notice. Superb stuff

The beds are double and if you wamt to have kid between parents then the beds move from eachother, and there are no single mattres. We managed to block beds somehow but needs to be taken into account

Great locality, quiet

We would expect more Italian national food on breakfast. Some neighbors were sometimes noisy - but that was only 2 nights, other days/nights everything was fine.

Location was good, the two swimming pools are a great plus. There's a dedicated lake access with a pier and some sun beds but no dedicated beach. However, there are a lot of free beaches within a few meters away. Restaurant was great, but pasta was a bit overcooked. In full board, dinner and breakfast are the main meals with good quality but lunch was a bit light: a pasta dish, with salad and/or a vegetable side. Unwritten rule which was discovered the last day is that you can swap the dinner menu for a pizza -- this was great. The locals come to enjoy it too as hotel Monastero's restaurant is open to outside guests.

despite being open at the booking that they may not meet the request for a double bed, I am a little disappointed by the quality of the mattresses and the arrangement to supply a double bed: this was actually two single beds attached to each other and every time I hugged my wife I was separating the two mattresses! Maybe keeping some spare double mattresses to fit onto two single bed frames can solve the guests' disappointment. However, despite this I still deem Hotel Monastero great value for money.
