Beautiful grounds, fabulous pool and a lovely bistro for dinner.

Service was inconsistent, sometimes fabulously attentive and kind, other times abrasive and/or slow. There was a strong damp smell of one of the rooms we booked. They denied this at first when it was a v strong smell. We subsequently found two v large pots of baking soda to address the damp in different spots on the room. Our concerns were addressed when we pointed this out and a better room was found which we were grateful for. The bathroom of a different room we had booked also had a damp smell. We didn’t bother raising this. It’s a beautiful property but obviously a bit tricky to maintain.

The room upgrade to Melissa room was fab. Comfortable beds and relaxing vibe. The gardens were very nice. Concierge were very helpful and staff was friendly. Gourmet restaurant food was excellent

There wasn't anything particular I didnt like but the place lacked atmosphere. Very few people at the hotel. Service was slow at breakfast and no decaffeinated coffee on one day. More emphasis on Sicilian wine would have been better. Location was OK but having just come from another hotel in the south, which was in the countryside, it seemed noisy in comparison. Other 2 hotels we stayed at had spas which we could book for 1 hour at no additional cost. €40 per person was a bit steep.

Incredible service from very friendly and knowledgeable staff. It is a small hotel so eacu guest is made to feel very special. Very relaxed and beautiful setting with an amazing pool. Michelin calibre dining at ipalici. We've had taster menus at Michelin star restaurants and this was definitely up there! The passion in the presentation really came through and the flavours were first class. There is an equally amazing winery (Benanti) just across the road so ideal for wine lovers.

Breakfast could be improved - more savoury options and didn't appear to be replenishing the buffet so a lot of the options ran out. No iron in the room, which is a basic expectation. Pressure of shower could be improved.

the ac in our room wasn’t really working, they lock the setting at a certain temp and you can’t make it lower, it was hot and not nearly cool enough to be comfortable. there also aren’t any hooks to hang towels in the shower which was weird. lastly if you book via booking.com they charge you a daily fee to park

The hotel is stunning. It is kept in immaculate condition, the pool is clean, the interiors are stunning and the gardens are beautiful. We also enjoyed using the services onsite, such as the gym and the restaurant. The food is excellent and I would highly recommend going here. The gym is also very well equipped. The staff were very helpful and attentive to our needs. We didn’t do much in the local area as the Viagrande region is very residential, however for what we wanted it was perfect. On our final day we visited a vineyard which was 5 min walk from the hotel for a wine and food pairing session.

We had asked the staff for taxi bookings twice during our stay (you will need either taxis or a rental car to get around) but the quotes they provided us with were far too expensive. When we looked into booking our own taxis we got them for half the price they were quoting. It was very family orientated - lots of kids by the pool.

We had excellent breakfasts and a lovely dinner at the fine dining restaurant at the hotel. We really enjoyed the great pool area and our smart rooms.

The rooms we had were fairly small and we were a bit short on storage space for clothes and suitcases. However, the rooms were very well equipped. Service at the pool was a little slow sometimes.

The design of the hotel is elegant and sophisticated. The pool and grounds are spectacular. Hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is very good. Overall, excellent hotel.

The location is a bit interesting, you are in a suburb of Catania. Not really a walkable area, but most key tourist activities are a drive in any case, so not an issue

the restaurant food was good, but high end. some simpler menu options would have been appreciated. we were there towards end of the season (end Oct) and it felt like things were closing down (the bar area was not in use for example)

Location isn't great, lovely little sleepy town but we had two boys needing entertainment and nothing nearby for them to do. Also restaurants in the small town do not open until 8pm which we didn't know.

Beautiful boutique hotel with large rooms, a nice pool area and excellent restaurant. Reception staff were very helpful recommending days out to the Etna and Taormina areas. Fine dining restaurant was an amazing experience and we are vegetarians!

Hotel is in a residential area and there are dogs barking at night.
