Previous reviews made me hesitate about this hotel choice - glad we stayed here. A word about the city....lovely, understated and wish we had left more time on schedule to explore

Everything from start to finish was awesome! The room had a beautiful view overlooking the sea and city. The staff were extremely helpful, professional, and attentive to details. The room temperature was always cool and refreshing, and the housekeeping staff did a great job keeping it tidy, clean, and fresh-smelling. The food, from breakfast to dinner, was delicious with plenty of options. The hotel also offers boat trips; we took one, and it was one of the best experiences of my life. You get to see the coast from the sea's point of view. I highly recommend them!

Location and view are great, all meals are wonderfully cooked, outdoor pool is nice (even if it is not heated), hotel staff is great, cleaning maids are doing by far the best job I have ever encountered (they even come by later in the evening to make sure everything is alright and you are pleased).

The wallpaper in the room was peeling in a lot of places, the ceiling had water spots from old leaks, bathroom fan looked new but was not turning on, the entire furniture of the hotel is old and outdated. I understand the Italian "Patina" but this is just plain old, and needs to be replaced. Overall the hotel as it is today is more like almost 4 stars (due to the staff), definitely not 5 stars.

This is not a 5*hotel anymore- Extremely dated, worn out, old looking. From finishings, to menu, to hallway carpets, to 1990 piano ambience music. Small tv on bureau/desk, should be on the wall. Many such details. A welcome letter and a mini bar are not perks like they made them out to be, and complimentary water should be a given standard as should a coffee making station be.

We were travelling through this area and decided on staying for a night at Hotel Riato as a convenient location and a lovely hotel to break up our trip. We were not disappointed at all - with beautiful views from our room with a small balcony, a fabulous pool area with sweeping views of the bay (including bar service), and really professional and friendly staff and service during our whole stay. The parking was also a bonus along with the fitness centre (small and limited equipment but enough for a short stay).

The hotel room was quite spacious and bright. We wanted a room with a sea view, they changed our room at an additional cost and we are grateful for that. The hotel area is well-groomed, green and clean. The hotel is located on a mountain with beautiful views of the sea.

The beach from the hotel is quite far away, it’s definitely not 300 m as it is written on the website. From the hotel, 5 times a day at a clearly defined time, a car takes you to the center of the village, and then for about 400-500m you need to walk on a downward slope of about 45-50 degrees and then climb the same way. This was not written anywhere about the information about the hotel. The hotel blocks the amount on the card in the amount of 300 EUROS and the refund is made two weeks after you left the hotel (how we explain this depends on the bank)

Overall, the hotel was very nice, the staff were excellent and the views were amazing. Vietri as a town was relatively quiet, which suited us down to the ground, and it provided us with a great base from which to explore the Amalfi coast (whether by car, ferry or boat). We had a marvellous time!

The only slight "niggle" was that for a 5 star hotel, where we had gone all out in booking a junior suite for my wife's special birthday, some of the finer details which you'd expect as standard (for the price paid) were sometimes lacking. Silly things like only having 5 coat hangers in the wardrobe, having no milk option for cups of tea, having no cushions for the outside furniture, having limited food options for lunch during the day on site, etc etc. Some of these were easily resolved by talking to the hotel staff, but for the money paid, our feeling was that these should just be be available as standard. But in the grand scheme of things, they were minor issues and we had a great time overall. :-)

Hotel Raito was proved an excellent choice for our vacation. Views from the hotel were breathtaking, absolutely incredible. Our hotel room was very clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfasts were very good and the amount ample to start a day of explorations. Lunch and dinner service was also superior. Preparation was excellent. Strongly recommend! I especially appreciate the kind and professional service of Restaurant Manager Sansone Giovanni, as well as Marco. To make your stay perfect in every way you must include a visit to the hotel’s SPA. SPA Manager Dominga has created an incredible, relaxing environment to make every guest feel special. From a wide range of massages, choices of organic teas, to the incredible lounge Sea views. Once again, thank you Dominga for making our SPA experience perfect in every way! Finally, as a world traveler, I strongly recommend Hotel Raito and definitely will come back.

Rooms felt a little dated Very thin walls/doors into hallway, lots of outside noise from other guests when sleeping. Not sure how much this can be helped, but an inconvenience nonetheless… Toilet was wobbly and the plumbing didn’t smell great at times.

The location of this hotel is definitely its advantage. The most stunning view from the high of Raito village on Vietri and the seaside. Hotel has really awesome pool with sunbeds around it. Pool is clean and I saw that every evening it is cleaned by the vacuum cleaner. And the view on Vietri from the pool is also breathtaking. The pool has their own service with drinks, towels. Everything is nice and calming. The stuff is more then helpful: they change the bathroom cosmetics about once or even more a day. They remember your preferences in drinks and always ask you about your mood. So nice! Also the stuff helps us with finding stunning beach and printing the tickets. Special thanks to Jovanni. He is awesome. The rooms are clean, nice, has everything you may need. And also good sleepers which you can use to go swimming. The hotel has their own pretty big parking.the very rare situation in Italy. The bed and pillows are Very very cozy and comfortable.

The conditioner in our room worked too loud. Laundry was late for 1 day more while preparing the clothes. And if me personally didnt remind about it. I am not sure when it would be. The prices of the restaurant is pretty high. It would be great to have free water inside room. About 40% of the personal has very poor understanding of English. Bit that is the common problem for Italy.
