Central location in Ocho Rios, lovely staff, picturesque views of the ocean, excellent breakfast included and run by an exceptional owner/manager Tony Powell who was so friendly and helpful. We felt so welcome from the first minute we arrived and after my daughter went home - I decided to stay another week!

Hard to find any fault with this hotel for the price, service and location.

For the price you can’t go wrong, right in centre, good parking, WiFi was good, nice sized pool and jacuzzi, food was good. Most of staff were very friendly. Only stayed one night,

Couldn’t see much of a beach but didn’t walk down. Also security who showed us to room was more interested on talking on his phone than helping us or showing us the room, we were fine carrying our bags but never not been offered and always show us key things in room, he just chatted on phone whole time and as soon as got to room walked off. Just surprised me tbh. Apart from that great hotel for the price

I’ve been to Jamaica numerous times but this was my first time solo as a widow. The staff was excellent. My room comfortable. Views stunning and food delicious. I felt safe. I read the reviews about the nightclub noise. Didn’t bother me at all. But if you want quiet don’t stay in town. Jamaica is not quiet. Period. They like to blast music in the streets. Stores. Moving trucks. The property has nice gardens to retreat to. If you have problems with stairs I would not recommend. There are a couple ramps but you would never get to the bar or to upstairs rooms. I thought this would be my last trip to Jamaica but I think I’ll return for a couple weeks next time!

I can’t think of anything. lol I wish the pool had been constructed differently to face the sea and not require a bridge. But it’s a lovely pool!

Seaside room with a spectacular view, a big terrace, very relaxing. The rooms are big and well equipped, the restaurant and bar very chill, the location is right in the middle of Ocho Rios so a nice place to stay if you want to discover Ocho Rios by walking. Public taxis are also there when you get out of the hotel.

It’s a bit loud at night from the neighborhood and the breakfast can take a little long.

Location was great, rooms clean and staff very attentive. Breakfast was a great start every morning. Really happy with our stay.

Beds were a bit hard.

I liked the location, views from the room and the included breakfast. We were able to travel from Kingston to Ocho Rios by bus and then a short taxi trip to the hotel in which another traveller was heading to as well. The Almond Tree restaurant was where we had our dinners which we enjoyed. The waiters/waitresses were kind and helpful. Overall, the stay was of great value and good for being a non all inclusive.

The wifi from our room was spotty so we had to go outside to the pool area where it worked really well. Also, there isn't direct beach access but there is a deck which you can swim from.

Loved the location. Setting and grounds spectacular. Ate at Almond Tree two evenings and food and service excellent.

Front desk surly and rude and anything but welcoming. Stressed that deposit against damage of 100usd required. This was acceptable but when we attempted to turn on reading lamp found it to be broken and glued back together. Back to reception to explain that we had no wish to be accountable for damaged lamp and needed it changed. Broken lamp taken and replaced by yet another rude, surly woman, not a good start.

Lovely hotel great views felt like a breath of fresh air it and somewhere we would love to one day to return to. The almond tree restaurant located inside the hotel served really good food great dining area.some wonderful memories thank you made a personal touch. It felt like a family atmosphere between the staff servers and guests from the start.it was a thrill to be in the Caribbean anyway and even more when we came to the hibiscus lodge in ochi Rios we were blessed with this impromptu booking I had no idea where we were heading but I am so glad the views from the room the excellent service the peacefulness there all made for a very pleasant stay in what we know of Ochi Rios s as a busy bustling lovely town with many attractions.mahogony beach is just round the corner . I and my family felt we could unwind relax and take time to spend family time together that felt really important to us.The sea is at the foot of the hotel and it is a lovely swimming area.i was surprised to remember that I had visited hibiscus as a day guest many years ago. It's charm and old world feel in a modern time helped to slow our time down in Jamaica and helped us to realise where we were and to take in the full enormously helpful and important time this vacation presented us with.a thank you to all that helped us to be there while we were in Jamaica.

The balconies, bar and restaurant over look the ocean providing the most amazing views to start your day. The breakfast is great, lots of choice and all the in house bakery items were delicious. The restaurant food was generally really nice and good value for money. The hotel is in a good location for attractions and staff were happy to help arrange private taxis where needed. Tony (the owner), the cleaners and some of the bar/waiting staff were really friendly and made the stay more enjoyable. The beds were small doubles but very comfortable.

There were a handful of staff members who were particularly abrupt and unwelcoming. If you require an early breakfast due to an early check out, you need to make a request the night before and make sure your requirement is extremely clear. We were nearly not given breakfast, despite giving days notice. The room can get a little cold but blankets were available on request. The hotel is in a great location to get to all the attractions, however it is right in the centre and unfortunately there is a noisy club. We slept with earplugs our entire stay and would’ve been lost without them. Tea and coffee/hairdryer shouldn’t be a luxury add on for the rooms. Lastly, a first aid kit/consideration into a lifeguard wouldn’t go a miss.

The fact that I ended up staying an extra two nights and the breakfast menu things that weren’t on their the first night weren’t on for the whole stay which included ackee n salt fish, plantain most of the yard style menu🙄. I would have gone back to stay next week but for the fact that I may get the same breakfast means I will look for somewhere else which is a shame as everything else was fine
