Convenient ski-in/ski-out location with free ski lockers for hotel guests. Great ocean view. The quality and selection of both breakfast and dinner buffets were very good. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and dedicated, which made for a good experience despite apparent staff shortage. Nice onsen, if that is something you enjoy.

Lack of closet/shelving/dresser space in the room. Ventilation problem made for difficult to manage condensation on the window. Seating area for buffet was sometimes too crowded, and additional space in adjacent room was not always made available. Ski area is pretty flat, so you almost get stuck when there is fresh snow, and lifts are sensitive to wind, but that is not the hotel's fault.

2nd time staying here for skiing as it is one of the more affordable ski in and out places. Big rooms (and great view from our room of the ski field), comfortable bed and big vanity area which was useful since we had to wash baby stuff. Good food and great onsen. We had our 2mth old and got there at 9am however couldn’t check in till 3pm so they gave the theatre room for my MIL to use privately rather than the foyer. I was also able to put my esky for baby stuff in their fridge since check in wasn’t till 3pm.

Wish the staff were quicker to respond to email/booking.com messages otherwise it was a great stay and I’d definitely stay a 3rd time! I also wish they had communal facilities like a microwave.

Pretty secluded, better and cheaper to ask hotel for transportation beforehand. The food , especially dinner and dessert is amazing. Love being able to ski straight down to the hotel door. A couple different routes were available and it wasn’t crowded at all.

After ordering taxi to go to the station , a few days prior may I add, the day off no taxi arrived. Had to wait about an hour for taxi to come, had I had a Shinkansen booked prior I would not have made it. Must double check with reception and taxi company I guess. ( to be fair, it was the taxi company fault but either way, was held up)

We highly recommend the executive king size room which was double the size of normal rooms as we had a lounge room and bed room and it felt luxurious looking out the large glass windows to the view of the mountains We spent extra time chilling out in the room just because we enjoyed the room the view so much We also had both breakfast and French dinner included - the dinners were superb each night and we were there for three nights We hired a car and it was a good place to explore all the forests Hirosaki tourist places - I really enjoyed the apple farm in Hirosaki as much as I enjoyed the forests in the beautiful mountain side The onsen was beautiful looking out to the trees and mountains We visited in summer and it was warm but not hot May come back to see the snow, or the cherry festival in spring or the leaves changing in autumn

If I was visiting again I’d bring a topper for the bed as it was somewhat hard The breakfasts were just okay and best if you arrive early After the hustle and bustle of Tokyo we enjoyed the quiet serenity and picturesque views but if you are looking for lots to do in the evenings it may be difficult to find (we don’t know as we didn’t try to)

I was attracted to the location on the Aomori Springs Ski area and the side of Mt. Iwaki. It did not disappoint! The view of the mountain and the Sea of Japan were amazing. The open-air section of the Onsen was wonderful as it had a view of the sea and the stars at night. The breakfast and dinner (included in my room plan) had both Western and Japanese options, and both were delicious. During the summer, the bar on the 2nd floor is closed, but there was a mini-bar in the Bistro during dinner to get wine, beer, or sake.

The sandals were the inexpensive throw away kind instead of something more sturdy, which is a very minor thing.

OMG, what a place, what a hotel, what a huge king size bed - best we’ve slept in during our 6 weeks in Japan. The Onsen was spectacular - views to the forest and stars at night. Dinner was beautiful and sumptuous and breakfast was just as good. We got an exceptional rare for the one night on booking.com with half board. It was such great value for money. The next morning we drove to the south of Mount Iwaki to a 10km long road up to the mountain top (in May) so it was warm and the skies were so clear. If you’re driving you must go here for the view and a snow ball or two in late Spring!

It was perfect, nothing to complain about at all. We would definitely go back again.

Our first ski in, ski out experience. You can rent your skis at the hotel downstairs and they will provide you with lockers. The beds were comfy, and had a standard buffet breakfast/dinner. The staff were vey friendly and the onsen was great. We ordered a taxi via the hotel and it didn't turn up so we had to wait an hour and didn't get to the hotel until 8pm. We missed dinner and the hotel staff made us dinner bento to eat in our room. No mishaps with the taxi on our way back to the station though! Whilst this place is a little more expensive than a usual hotel I highly recommend it if you want to ski for a few days since there is nothing around this resort except for the hotel, so if you stayed somewhere else you would have to drive.

Wifi could be improved as it was quite slow unless you sit in reception and the pillows could also be improved. Not that I 'didn't like it' but there were no discounts for continuous ski lift passes/rentals.

Absolutely love the ski in and out. They also provide lockers for easy access. Food was quite a spread but gets boring if u stay too long.

They charge an onsen fee when u check out which was not communicated to me during check in. Its not very expensive but would be great if i knew beforehand. Would also appreciate some discount/pass benefit for staying at the hotel.

A cosy enclave in the snow blizzard. Good tasty selection of food for breakfast and dinner.

If you don't ski, or do any snow activities, there is nothing much for you to do in the hotel - of course there is table tennis, billard table, onsen. Fortunately, we have a rental car that we can drive to Hirosaki and Tsugaru.

the hotel is meant for people who are in the area for skiing/snow sports as there is not much around or to do other than skiing. if you are among this category, then the hotel is perfect as it provides everything you need from rental to food to onsen at a very reasonable price. and its literally next to the lift.
