checkin/out is efficient, staff is friendly and helpful, we stayed in 2 rooms for a party of 3, rooms are small but adequate, no views but quiet . rooms are comfortable warm in winter, it is clean and well maintain. location is the best, near JR station, near Toyota rental , near tram station. near the morning market which is 5 min walk. enjoyed the morning breakfast which had western and japanese food plus coffee and fruits and yoghurt. lots of great food nearby . a good ramen place and a yakiniku place just next door.

no views. do ask for rooms with views which i think is only the first rooms on every floor. the hotel is just next to a tall building.

Complimentary breakfast was great, with small variations from day to day. Perfect for a quick bite/drink before heading out to the morning market, or having a more complete meal for the rest of the day. Room was clean with all the standard facilities such as humidifier, warm/cold air conditioning. Location was next to a Tram station, the main train station as well as the bus station, extremely convenient.

Minor nitpick: the amenities provided in the lobby was just bathrobe and razors and green tea. More products like skincare would have been even better! There is abit of waiting time for the lift as its a single lift serving 9 floors.

It is 5 minutes away from the shin-hakodate hokuto station which was wonderful as well as minutes away by foot from the tram stop and places to eat. We also love the breakfast there it was probably one of the best on our trip. They changed the menu every day but had items that stayed every day which was very refreshing to eat. They also had amazing pastries.

Honestly the only thing that I can think of is that the beds weren't extremely comfortable. But if that's the only thing that I didn't like I think it's a wonderful place to stay.

The room itself was nothing special, but I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of room I had to walk around even with two double beds and a reasonably sized bathroom. There is nearby (paid) parking just behind the hotel, and it's a short walk from the station and surrounded by plenty of restaurants.

I found the staff polite enough, if perhaps a little stiff and less warm than other places I'd stayed, but not a big deal. My bedroom view was of the alleyway and next doors roof, but nothing unexpected from a budget hotel.

The breakfast was nice ... very nice.. you have fresh fruit juice everyday ..with some variety of breakfast .. soup, rice, eggs .. all was delicious . Area is really close to the street car which i use to get to the attractions .. Motomachi area, and also , Mount Hakodate. It has bath tube ...which is really nice .. definite a plus .. The aircon is turn to warm in May ..so you got to open the windows to stay cool .. The bed was nice and comfortable to sleep . Very convenient ... locations.

i cant wear pyjamas to breakfast .. i guess .. i would get up early and eat and then get back to sleep .. so , its a bit of hassle to dress for the breakfast ..

Second time staying at a Comfort Hotel in Hokkaido. It's becoming one of my favourite hotel chains thanks to its delicious and nutritious breakfasts. There isn't a wide selection, but everything tastes wonderful and there's definitely something for everyone, no matter if you like Japanese or Western cuisine. I'm glad they provided an assortment of daily necessities for the guests, like nail clippers, bandages, extra pillows, chargers, and more. All you have to do is walk up to the front desk and ask. The location was really good too. The hotel is just opposite to the Hakodate streetcar stop and is a few minutes' walk from the Hakodate JR station and bus terminal. A great place to stay if you're taking public transport to get around the city.

The room was a bit small, but that's normal for a budget hotel. It's also definitely not a hotel you could hang out in if the weather blows your plans over as they have almost zero entertainment facilities or services.

Superb location with lots of restaurants n convenience stores and parking lots around. Hakodate morning market is 3 minutes walking distance. Tram station just outside of hotel. Hotel charges only 550 yen at nearby parking lot with unlimited in and out. Complimentary breakfast was tasty with enough varieties and fresh juices. Great price although room is small. Well equipped with fridge, kettle, tv, and even a bathtub. Room and toilet are clean.

Staff did not communicate much in English but with hand signs and instructions prepared beforehand, we did not face any issue.

The great hotel is about a five minute walk from the station. It was very comfortable and had everything you needed. The breakfast is great and is a combination of Western and Japanese food. The staff are friendly. It's a great little hotel and would stay again. Thanks for having us.

I wish the checkin times were not so late in the afternoon. We did appreciate the staff holding our luggage until 3 pm.

Good no frills hotel in a convenient location around 5mins walk from the station. The morning market is also a short walk away. There are tram stops right outside the hotel which you can take to the red brick warehouse, Goryokaku tower etc. Room was clean.

Room and bed size were a little small. That's ok since we paid a lower price for the good location.

Not the first stay in Comfort hotel. This hotel is located right near the JR station and like many other hotels in the same chain, offer buffet breakfast and luggage storage facility. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Breakfast is ok, nothing extraordinary and I would prefer not to have it included in the price in Hokdate, where there are so many delicious options around that location.
