January 2024

I stayed at this hotel a few years back when it was still a Marriott, so decided to return this time. We booked the standard room type, but when we arrived, we discovered that the hotel was undergoing renovation, and our room was one of the older types. I hated the non-refurbished rooms, they are old, musty, damp, and the lighting is terrible, so I decided to pay to upgrade to an executive level room, which had been refurbished. The refurbished rooms are a vast improvement on the old rooms, with very nice decorations, lighting, and amenities. The executive rooms also benefit from using the lounge on the ground floor, which offers breakfast, snacks throughout the day, cocktails and food in the evening. I loved the amenity store on the ground floor, where you can find all the standard in room amenities, but allowing you to take only what you need to avoid waste. The shop on the ground floor also has an extensive range of food available at very reasonable costs. Breakfast in the main restaurant was quite good, with plenty of Japanese and western options. The pools are very extensive, with lots of different options. As it was winter, only two sections were open, but that was fine.

Communication from some of the staff was severely lacking and English skills were all around quite poor. Apparently when the temperature drops to 20 degrees Celsius or below, they switch from air conditioning to heating, and they can't control it room by room. For me, this made the room incredibly uncomfortable, as 20 degrees is still quite warm for me. They eventually rectified, but it was painful trying to communicate with the front desk. Some of the facilities around the pool need a good refurbishment. You absolutely need a car to stay here, I wouldn't even consider it without one. The hotel is quite remote. The breakfast in the lounge could definitely use more options.

Very big room, very big bed split in two. Even a sofa to sleep on and admire the view Awesome pool and slide with everything you need

The only thing I did not like is the strictness I am with my kid who is 2 years old and love to jump from the edge of the pool into my arms in the water, but every single time we were being told not to jump. I understand this is for safety but we are not diving in the pool, I’m catching my little girl only. Staff should be there to understand that, I’m sure they have rules to ask guests not to jump, and I understand that, but people should be able to understand the difference. We booked this hotel because our little girl loves water and loves to jump into the water in our arms, but we were asked NOT to jump, just a bit sad about this Another thing is the gym, for such a high class resort, there could be a few more equipments, such as a bench and a few bars to add weight

From the first moment of checking in at the front desk you know that at this hotel the customers are attended to with great detail. The options for bathing is exceptional. For the first time you did not have to freeze if you entered the pool. The water temperature was in excess of 31C. The room is very nice and luxurious. with spectacular views. This is a place for families with small children. The pools are shallow enough with constant supervision during the hours of operation. Both the breakfast and dinner buffet has a lot to offer. The hotel bathroom is very nice with a bathtub that fills up very quickly with hot water.

As many of the pools are quite shallow, there is only one pool that is 2,5m deep if you want to do some swimming or pool diving. While dining at the hotel buffet is a very nice experience, for those customers who spend a longer time would like to have more options beyond what the hotel has to offer. The restaurant options beyond the hotel in the area are not that many. The hotel buffet restarurant seemed to have some capacity issues during "high season rush hours". In July the sun is too hot for swimming in the sea. Customers who do not cope with the "liveliness" of small children might want to stay out of the buffet or pool area.

Big pools that were exceptionally clean. The depths were 1.2 to 2.5 meters. You could charge to your room everything, including grocery/souvenir shop items. Breakfast buffets were great. Pajamas were soft. There was an amenity section where we can help ourselves. There were five laundry washers and dryers. There were also plenty of staff who were always available to help. There was shuttle to Kariyushi beach, 5 minutes away from the hotel. It was available every 15 minutes until 18h. The beds could be pushed together which was great for the kids’ safety. The bathroom was spacious enough and had both shower and tub. And it was quick to fill and empty the tub. The bidet worked perfectly.

Location was quiet and clean but very far from the airport. Food was expensive if not paid for in advance. We paid for breakfast only so we were charged for dinner at the buffet for 6,500 yen per person. We were not allowed to bring outside food into the pool area despite having eating area. Only food ordered from the outdoor kiosk was allowed. Floaties were not free for use. They charged 1,000 yen a day.

This place was very clean. The staff were very friendly. You definitely need to have a vehicle if you are going to go site seeing. They do have a bus that runs to the beach. You can’t beat Japanese customer service. When I pulled into the door area, someone was there to greet me. They brought me a cart for our bags without having to ask. It was raining and when i dropped my family off out front they held umbrellas over them and walked them to the door. It’s the small things that you will never see in the U.S. I would definitely stay here again. By the way, the AC was controlled via a thermostat in my room. You are able to control the temperature of your room. That worried me when I saw some reviews. The breakfast buffet was great, the room was great, the indoor and outdoor facilities were great, I really enjoyed my trip. I recommend staying here, just remember to rent a vehicle.

I honestly didn’t find anything I didn’t like about this hotel. It surpassed my expectations, but remember, I’m comparing it to all U.S. hotels.

We spread out as a family of 5 into 2 adjoining rooms. The rooms looked new, were nicely furnished and were spacious. Myself and 2 kids each had our own king single sized bed and there was a little nook in the room with a daybed with ocean views, where the kids could pull the curtains and have their own space. Amenites were on hand downstairs to help yourself to when needed. Breakfast was good but felt repetitive after 5 days. The mini burgers are a must to try. Pools were great as a few were heated and there were also 2 hot tubs outside with ocean views. Also an indoor pool and hot tub for the rainy days. We had a car which made the travel convenient, but there was a Lawsons and beach in walking distance or free shuttle. The area was beautiful and looked so much nicer than the main downtown area. Okinawa was a highlight of our trip and very happy with the hotel.

It would have been nice to be able to buy snacks or lunch poolside, but there were only limited drinks. It was difficult to walk inside whilst wet from swimming and there really was only a buffet lunch option and lounge bar snacks in the foyer. A few western snacks for kids like fries and nuggets or pizza would have made life easy for parents with fussy kids. The area is a little far from things, so I highly recommend a car for travel.

The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was amazing! They have everything from Japanese food to Western with waffles, doughnuts and ice cream. The swimming pool was really good and with an amazing size, where you can rent floats. And they have a very cute shop with local stuff and everything you need for a beach/swimming pool day.

They just clean your room and do the beds every 3 days. But they changed the towels and emptied the bins. The only way to get to the hotel is by car, so you need to hire a car or taxi. No very good changing rooms at the pool, so you had to go all wet from the swimming pool to your room to change.

Great facilities - several very large pools including an indoor one. One outdoor one is heated. Several outdoor jacuzzis, a water slide, great shop at the hotel, several restaurants, a gym etc. Rooms were modern, large, well equipped and very comfy with great views. The paid onsen was fantastic. Excellent breakfast options (even had ice creams and a doughnut wall) Great that they allow people with tattoos with no issues.

I didn't like the food selection at the restaurants. All served a similar type of food and hardly any vegetarian options. We ate at the restaurant that specializes in Okinawa food - really didn't enjoy the food at all. Woudl recommend eating dinner outside of the hotel.

Stay for 2 nights in a Superior Fourth room. All the staff were excellent, the room was pristine and super comfortable, and the onsite gift/convenience store was surprisingly good! Having a choice of 2 restaurants for the breakfast buffet (intercontinental and Okinawan styles) was a lovely touch, and the outdoor swimming pool was fantastic!

While the carpark was quite large, we still had some difficulty in finding a space (we arrived late at night for check-in) and ended up needing hotel staff to help us look for one. Kudos to the staff for being so helpful though!

Friendly staffs, good amenity selections (they had amenity station on the lobby floor, where people can get their own necessary amenities such as makeup remover, lotion, hair oil, bath salts etc. They also had a shuttle bus that goes to the beach and back, but also the beach is walking distance. It suddenly started to rain just before we left the beach, so we called for the bus on the way back. The buffet for the breakfast was amazing. So many choices and delicious.
