The staff was VERY helpful in arranging transportation during a fully booked weekend on Sado Island. Goint the extra mile to follow up and get us a spot on an already fully booked bus back from the festival. Nice breakfast buffet, offering a mix of western and Japanese foods. And a bit better than normal expectations for a businessman hotel. Bed was up off the floor for us old folks.

The staff tried mightly with their limited English and Google translations to accommodate our inability to speak or understand Japanese, qne mow5ly overcame problems but one English speaking host would have been nice.

The Tabino Hotel in the central part of Sado Island is a very modern, very well-equipped and conveniently located business hotel. There is no charge for on-site parking, and we didn't have any trouble finding a space. Check-in was straightforward. Our room was well-equipped for bathing, sleeping, etc. There's a refrigerator in the room. Nice features of the hotel included a public bath (like an onsen) that was sometimes completely unoccupied, and that had all the various sorts of lotions, treatments, etc. that my wife likes to use; she said that she didn't need to bring anything down from our room because the bath was so well-furnished. There are also coin washers/dryers that include detergent, so that you can do your laundry on-site. There's available cold drinking water (in summer) so that you're not fussing with luke-warm tap water. There's an on-site restaurant that gets good reviews. There's a gas station, a grocery store, and the local hospital across the street. Would definitely stay here again. Nice place.

The on-site restaurant was closed on Wednesday. Otherwise no complaints at all about this hotel.

This is a full-service hotel set in the middle of Sado City, which is about halfway between the Sado Kisen ports on Sado Island. Bus service to and from the ports is good. It is a very well-run, quiet hotel, with plenty of free parking on site. Our room was very clean and the twin beds were spacious and comfortable. Water pressure was good in the en-suite bathroom, and wifi was stable and speedy. We especially liked the guest laundry facilities and, extra special, the lovely public bath on site.

Since we don’t speak Japanese, I found it difficult to communicate my need for some printing to the reception staff.

The onigiri take away for breakfast. What a great idea! The bath was great. Laundry facilities. Vending machines. Free parking and lots of parking.

Restaurants that you could walk to were limited. They seemed to be closed even when the hours suggested they should be open. I tried the restaurant in the hotel but I would not recommend it. Laundry was always busy.

Small cosy public bath. Car park next to hotel Convenient. Friendly staff. Easy to locate. Supermarket just opposite hotel..

No bottled water provided. Most hotels offer 1 free bottle per night stay.

Very nice and helpful staff. However, like all Sado, prepare that communication works only in Japanese.

The hotel is far from the port and bicycle rents. You have to have a car

great vacation hotel - all rooms have sea views, big rooms, comfortable, nice friendly staff.

Water pressure was very low on 5F. We complained the next day and they moved us to the 3F and compensated us.

The staff was great and friendly, and the price was totally unbeatable. The room was bigger than usual for Japan and the beds weren't bad. The air conditioner worked well, which was great since it was quite hot out. The communal bath was small but clean and comfortable with plenty of free amenities. There's a huge variety of shampoos, conditioners, and body soaps that you can use for no cost. There's a small rooftop terrace as well, which allows for beautiful views. The attached restaurant is delicious. You really need to try Buri-katsu while you're in Sado. Overall, it was a great hotel to stay at and I'd definitely stay there again.

The elevator was extremely slow, even when no one was using it. The location is far from any public transportation, so you definitely need a car if you're going to visit. The beds could've been a bit more comfortable. I could feel springs poking me. Also, the roomwear was scratchy and uncomfortable.

Excellent business hotel, clean room and about the size we expected. Nice public bath. Great staff, very helpful. Free parking. Right in the middle of the island, so although the immediate neighbourhood isn't very special, it's a good base from which to explore.

The on-site restaurant was a nice property but the food, and in particular the service, were a bit average by Japanese standards. However I suspect the restaurant isn't run by the hotel so maybe an unfair criticism.
