This is a great Ryokan experience that you can get in Sapporo. The hotel has its history which is clearly visible from the staff and with the pictures on the wall. The staff is one of the best that we have experienced during our travels in Japan. They really take care of you. The breakfast is a traditional experience. Delicious local produce with very affordable price. The location is very good. You are literally 10 minutes walk away from the station and Odori Park. You are next to the Sapporo University botanical garden which is great experience that you must try. Anyone who is traveling to Sapporo should check this property. The entrance of the rooms actually looks like a house and the naming of the rooms are aligned.
For a small Ryokan, onsen is well organized and very clean however it is small. The property may introduce limiting the number of people using the onsen at the same time.

The staff was exceptionally courteous and great from the beginning to the end. The room was traditionally charming with futon, sliding doors, along with tea and snacks provided each day. Public bath that is on the floor was small but definitely adequate. We paid extra 1200 yen for breakfast one day and they did not disappoint! The food was amazing and the portion size was great as well. Sleeping on a floor with the tatami mat can be little uncomfortable for some, but I had a comfortable night sleep as well. During my stay, I have unfortunately caught a high fever and did not have any knowledge what to do. The hotel staff was very kind enough to find me a local clinic to visit, made an appointment for me, and even hauled a cab. I've never experienced such hospitable stay anywhere!
nothing I can think of.

It was our first stay in Hokkaido, so it was good to find a ryokan rather than a modern hotel. Location is good as it's quiet and right near the Botanical Gardens. The hot Japanese bath down the hallway was great.
It was hard to get used to sitting at a very low table and sleeping on the ground on tatamis. Not the ryokan's fault. Just a different culture. We take it for granted that there will be a chair and table at our 'normal' seating height.

Quiet because it is not exactly in CBD but just about 10 minutes walk. Very helpful staff although limited English proficiency, some of them had this language translator device to assist. Like the traditional style ryokan. Breakfast are nice, don't forget to pre-purchase voucher a day before.
Traditional style, so no chair in our rooms. Unsure about other rooms. Could be a bit difficult for elders whose mobility was limited, ie. difficult to sit down and get up from the ground.

I like the quite and convenient location, the room was spacious and super clean. The traditional atmosphere of the ryokan was a great way to end my journey in Japan. My Japenese was limited but the staff tried their best to communicate with me in English and were very polite. I even picked up some new phrases in Japenese while staying there.

All night Onsen, lovely, friendly staff who were always helpful and available! Great location near the main station as well as the city’s happening down town - and just across the road the botanical gardens for a quieter time.
The husk filled pillows take a little time to get used to, but that’s tradition!

The staff were so helpful in assisting me in making my return flight bookings, recoginsing that it would have been impossible for me to do it, not having Japanese. Also in other things I needed to make my journey to Hokkaido a success.
All met my expectations.

Rooms are comfortable and very clean. Very simple which is exactly what I was looking for. Short walks to the train station, susikino, and Odori park.
Nothing. Just bring good walking shoes.

Great ryokan! Atmospheric, welcoming team, reception open 24 hours. Central location and quiet rooms. Comfy futon and nice showers and hot baths!
I wish I had been give the option to not have room service daily.
