Amazing service, friendly and helpful staff that were happy to answer any questions. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Very family friendly and it was so convenient to have the onsen right on location. Because we have tattoos we couldn’t use the public onsen but that was not a problem because they have private and family onsen. The private family onsen was clean and had the most wonderful smelling green tea soap and the heat felt great after a day visiting various shrines. Me and my family appreciated being able to relax and discuss the rest of our trip by ourselves. We stayed in a traditional Japanese style room and it was very clean, the futon were nice and thick so very comfortable and the room had everything we would need for our stay including a fridge. We had a beautiful view from the fourth floor and it was nice and quiet, we slept soundly. We will definitely stay here again!

Lovely onsen hotel that feels like a window to the past. We went as a couple. The hotel has both smoking and non smoking rooms. It offers two public baths and a couple of private baths (that is, bathing rooms that you can book for 50 minutes as a couple/family). The room was spacious and we had delicious Ureshino green tea at our disposal. Ureshino is a peaceful onsen town that's mostly devoted to traditional tourism. We were the only westerners there. They offer a shuttle service to the Shinkansen station although it's probably necessary to communicate in Japanese to obtain this service.

The front desk staff refused to let us book dinner or breakfast at the front desk. Not sure if it was the language barrier or a cultural thing.

The onsen. both the open air onsen at the top floor & basement are good. The give you many kind of toiletries to choose from. The water in the onsen is exellent. Room is decent size. We have dinner & breakfast.

Dinner - even though they give u many dishes, but they just taste ok, nothing particular good & not very satifying either. I could use more food at breakfast too.

There are a few staff speak English and gave us excellent service: picking up,driving to some place,giving good suggestion.

The hotel was under construction so we could not See the view from inside the hotel especially from the top floor outdoor onsen.

Traditional Japanese hotel. It had a tatami room, a small chair by the window, a table and a refrigerator. The nostalgic view from here is of a Japanese hot spring resort.

bathroom sink was too low. Water heater too complicated to use. Didn’t know ice water was for drinking, only found flask with water.

Breakfast is nice. The onsen water is very good. The roof top was nice but a bit cold as the showering area is not fully protected from wind. No issue with the basement onsen, very nice.

The roof top onzen is fantastic. Room is really big with a peaceful river view in the balcony. The tea with cookies is great…

Hotel is old and the tatami is quite smelly. However, the smell will subside once the a/c is on for a while.
