We booked a family suite with balcony in the same block as the main onsen facilities - and it was amazing. A huge space with a table/dining area (low level), a couple of armchairs and table and two large comfy beds. I think that they are made up with extra beds/futons to take 4 people if necessary. The balcony wrapped around the space and looked over the village/town/parks and over the water. The room had nice touches like a water heater for tea, loose leaf tea and a teapot and cups and some welcoming sweets. The toilet space is small compared to the overall space but it's more than adequate and separate from the bathroom. The hotel is spread across three blocks with interconnecting walkways which I understand may not suit everyone but the lifts are efficient and it's easy to move around. The onsens (inside and outside) were lovely, had great views and everything you need including kimonos, towels and toiletries.

The hotel's main public spaces have a sense of grandeur although some corridors and spaces feel a bit tired - but this was not true of the room we stayed in.

Spacious and comfortable room. Choice of outdoor or indoor onsen! Very polite and helpful staff who help with the luggage. Has everything you need.

The hotel is a little old but I thought it was comfortable enough. My room seemed recently renovated, so I think they are taking steps to improve. The hotel is located on a steep hill. My friend drove so it was no problem, but the hotel could consider introducing shuttle bus services for those who don't drive

Location is fantastic. We were only in Hirado for the Dutch trading post, and this hotel was right above it.

Not used to mattresses on floor and pillows slightly hard.

I really liked the style of the hotel. The old-fashioned style is very nice. Please don't change it.

I did not expect the spa services were extra. I thought the onsen price should have been included in the price.

Excellent food. Excellent onsetn, a hot spring. Food quality both dinner and breakfast were excellent.

The roten-buro or outside hot spring at the roof top had a good view but was windy and cold. I think it may be a good idea to make it open only during hot summer, not in the cooler season, like now in April.

Great location in Hirado, we had a room with a view which was stunning. The room was big and comfortable and the onsen was great. Staff were lovely and very helpful and the Japanese-breakfast was amazing

Overall the building looks a bit aged

Nice environment & hot spring. The waiter can communicate in fluent English and explains in detail and attentively. Free car parking lot.

The decoration in the hotel room is a bit dated, but it didn't affect our stay.

The price is good. The hot spring is good. Can't ask more with this price.

The room smells musty and feels musty, which is acceptable with the good price.
