Apr 10-11 2024 Double Room with small double bed. This is our second time staying here. Room is clean, comfortable, quiet and spacious compared to rooms in mainland. Toilet is bigger too with ample space for toiletries. Bed is big too (for us, middle- sized Asian). The room arrangement is good - bed faces the window ( not next to window and curtains) and air con doesn't blow directly onto bed Hotel is located just outside JR train station and bus terminal. You can board the bus here for Nankai Ferry Terminal as well as to other attractions in Tokushima. ( No subway or tram/streetcar in Tokushima). Lots of eateries around the hotel.

Not a major issue but find it weird that during check in, the counter staff will photostat your passport and require you to fill in a form with your names, home address and phone number. But payment is at a machine. By the time the staff explained to me how to make payment at the machine, she could have processed my payment. Either the hotel goes fully automated or human, not efficient to go part human part machine.

It was a very convenient location, only 1 minute's walk from the train station. There were also bus stops a short walk away from which you could get to places like Naruto or to the other end of Tokushima. When you looked down from the room it was a large square with restaurants and other businesses around it. That made it quite an interesting view to watch all the people wandering about or heading to work or school. The same was true of the restaurant. I paid for breakfast in the restaurant, you could sit at a counter looking out the window. There were some western style options such as cornflakes, which could make a change for Western travellers wanting a break from rice for breakfast.

Great location in Tokushima, right next to the station, close to a castle garden, and only 10 min. walk from the ropeway to Mt. Bizan. Our room was sufficiently spacious with a view of the station. It was quiet after 10pm when the loud music at the station stopped. The beds were hard and could use a soft topper. Only 1 pillow per bed was insufficient. The breakfast was average. Parking garage next door was convenient. Plenty of good restaurants around this nice neighborhood.

Located very next to the bus station and train station it is ideal. Everything was very clean with an Economy Cleaning service to save the planet. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was excellent with a good healthy selection, which we like. Very quiet city, you can get a good nights sleep.

The double bed was very hard and moved a lot when you roll over and changed position. compared to other hotels we are staying at in Japan, the bed here is not the best.

Good location near bus and train facilities. Very lively spot surrounded by plenty of choices in restaurants. Good breakfast in the hotel and a great French style bakery in the building next door. Very clean room and staff were very helpful.

The room was on the small side for two people but was reasonably well designed to get the most out of the space.

Comfortable and clean hotel. Good breakfast. Location next to bus and train stations is perfect for getting around.

During a one week stay told I could not order breakfast on a day that I had not pre booked due to hotel being full. Never been told before not enough breakfasts for all guests!

the parking information could be offered earlier since the hotel is around the station and it's not easy to park temporarily and go up to the lobby to ask for parking information. ( I contacted the hotel for the info after the booking but they asked us to wait upon arrival.)

This is the best Daiwa Roynet hotel I have stayed in so far in Japan. The room was small but clean and conveniently located next to the train station. The breakfast buffet was really good and appeared to be a fairly new thing. We had a room on the top floor which had a bit of a view over the city.

In Daiwa Roynet hotels, the rooms are usually quite cramped, and are the same from city to city but I actually liked most things about this one.

I would give 12 stars if it were possible. Breakfast was the highlight. We were initially hesitant because Daiwa Roynet Takamatsu's breakfast was a let down. But here, they have a huge variety. They had local dishes, which were all well-introduced. The room and bathroom are super spacious, beds are wide. Location was perfect.

The Location. It was central to both the train and bus station. In the town centre and a 7/11 conviencence store on the ground floor.
