I liked working personnel, especially receptionists, they are always helpful and try to solve any problems that occur. Location of the property is also top, very close to all sightseeings and attractions in Turkestan. Another this is the view from the windows, if you have room facing the Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, the view is amazing, and whenever you wake up and look outside, it feels so unbelievably beautiful and peaceful.

There is nothing much, I just wanted real steel spoons in the room, unfortunately they don’t have them in the room( but you can ask for spoons and then return the to the kitchen)

The location within (new) Turkistan is perfect, within walking distance to everything. Our room was on the top floor overlooking the mausoleum, so that was great. The room itself was spacious and, due to the hotel being brand new, in a very good condition. Furnishing was very tasteful. Wi-Fi was working well, as was the air conditioning. All staff were friendly and staff at reception spoke good English. Overall the place is really good value for money.

Breakfast was super disorganised, everything else was great. Our main point of criticism isn’t about the hotel itself but rather the city of Turkistan. Visitors should be aware that the new city (where this hotel is located) has nothing to to with the city of Turkistan itself. Everything feels (and is) fake. It was built purely to promote tourism as a kind of ‚tourism prototype‘ in Kazakhstan to show Turkic culture. Everything in the new city (except the area around the mausoleum, obviously) was built within the last decade. That is not to say that we didn’t enjoy our stay, everything is very nice and fancy, a bit like Dubai. But it is something worth knowing before you come.

First of all, the hotel itself is the same as in the description on booking.com website. It is located in the center of a new town with 2 minutes by walk to mausoleum and new Keruen center. Also there are many museums square where you walk and other entertaining places including many shopping centers, restaurants nearby. The most value of the hotel is friendly and extremely polite personnel. We have enjoyed two wonderful nights staying at this hotel. Highly recommended.

the hotel is very clean and new with good amenities and location is great (5 mins to Khoja Ahmed Yasavi mausoleum and Karavansaray)

Before booking the room I informed that we will be arriving around 10-11.00 and the manager told me that early check in is possible if they have rooms available. Upon our arrival to the hotel even though they had available rooms they made us wait until 14.00, because this is standard time for check in. Not very appropriate customer service, given that the hotel was almost empty.

Nice interiors and a very comfortable room. Reception staff are lovely and helpful. An interesting location right on the strolling route between the Mausoleum (wonderful) and the new caravansaray shopping complex (not taken off yet).

Great location and experience

The only thing to improve is room temperature management, as we had difficulty turning off district heating and the temperature was too warm, especially at night.

The location is excellent, the breakfast was excellent, the bed is good, , nice pillows, lots of high quality walnuts for breakfast, cleanliness and no bad smell, quality of service personnel, lots of English channels. We were pleased to receive toothpaste and brushes as we didn’t have ours. Receptionist was helpful with taking care of noisy next room people and asked whether we needed a taxi ride, and we were assisted for later check out.

No shower curtain or divider which created water flaw right up to the sink, no place to hang towels in the bathroom. My niece found the bed being hard.

Good selection for breakfast, great lobby area for relaxing during the day, very very helpful staff, easy access to local historical sites and shopping areas. Almas took excellent care of us helpful beyond what was expected and the rest of the reception staff were great.
