Super peaceful location out in the country, tidy huts neatly spaced in the garden area connected by paths. Room was very spacious with good size bathroom, very clean and tidy with plenty of plugs and very comfortable bed. Nice porch area so you can sit outside have a drink and enjoy the tranquility. Was a nice breakfast area, perfect for a very relaxing start to the day and helpful staff. Cute cat and dogs to keep you company as well.

Didnt like the very bright security light in the middle of the garden, and the shower could have been a little hotter.

Up to my former expectations. I stayed fir a writing retreat in 2002 and it has the same simple comforts and genuine hospitality. Purity's chicken curry is to die for! The bar has recently been redecorated and the roaring central fire is great. It's a very tranquil setting and super chilled out. Purity and Rose go the extra mile cook and provide. I managed to proof read the book I wrote there last year and the wi-fi was good

The delicious bloody Mary lacked Tobasco but I got profuse apologies and a dash of Scotch Bonnet instead. No marks deducted!

It was so tranquil - ideal for chilling out, reading or writing, as I was doing The staff are super helpful and make what you fancy to eat to order You can arrange a hike on the mountain or a local safari. I spoiled myself with a day pass to Mount Kenya Safari Club to visit the animal orphanage and swim. Purity's Jack Daniels Cocktail by the fire was great.

The traditional huts, the clean environment, the security, the kind staff and the grat evenings in the bar with good music at the fire place was that amazing to extend our stay for 2 more days. We will come back in our next Kenya vacation.

Very quiet and serene place.

I knew the property was far from town. But there was nothing nearby: no grocery stores or restaurants. Hostel had kitchen but the prices were very expensive: 1000 to 1500 shillings for a meal!

The breakfasy was wonderful, the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The host Purity is a wonderful host, will surely visit this establishment again. The place was so queit and Seren

very nice place with wonderful staff. at night the fireplace will make the place a cozy place to connect with the rest of the guests and staff. the food was great, also as vegetarian! the room is basic but clean and warm water.

I absolutely enjoyed my stay. The location is quiet and great for both hiking & biking. The views of Mt Kenya are breathtaking. It is also not too far from Nanyuki town. I travelled as a solo black woman and felt very safe. Purity, the manager, was an amazing host. There was also a bonfire and chill area where you could enjoy a beer and get to meet other guests. The cottage was clean, warm and comfortable. I loved the food. You should absolutely get the breakfast option. Worth it. The chef (Dan), House keeping head( Lydiah) and Francis were welcoming and they all made my stay comfortable. If you are looking to travel solo, as a couple, group of friends or family and are undecided, I hope this review convinced you. I cannot wait to be back.
