Restaurant for dinner & breakfast was very good & we ate there every night. The staff were very helpful & the location was good in the centre of town.

The town hall clock in the centre does chime on the hour & half hour all through the night so if you are a light sleeper, you may find this a bit bothering....but it is obviously nothing to do with the hotel!

We were not advised when checking in that a reservation was needed for the restaurant. We were squeezed in on a small table behind the restaurants door, as we were hotel residents, it was a shame as the food was very good. We had room308 and you could hear the lift and feel the vibration from it all night, so not a very good nights sleep. When mentioning on check out we were offered a free breakfast

We absolutely loved this hotel in this pretty medieval town. We had a suite which was huge and very good value for money. Parking was easy -which for us is important as we travel with bikes on the roof and rear. The room was clean and there was plentiful hot water for showers. A previous review mentions church bells ringing all night but we only heard them once at 8pm when we were sitting outside enjoying a drink in the late evening sun.

This was our second visit to this hotel. It serves as a convenient stop before going on to Eurotunnel. But it is a bit more than that. The hotel is comfortable, well laid out and has a decent bar and restaurant. It also offers plenty of parking. And all of this at the centre of a pretty little town.

The breakfast offering was quite extensive but of indifferent quality (rubber scrambled eggs, poor cereal selection).

We were surprised how lovely the whole hotel was and how friendly the atmosphere was. Check in was so fast - they were expecting us and had our key ready. The hotel accepts dogs so that was wonderful for us that we could travel with our small lovely dog. There was a separate sitting area near the entrance with a fire and comfortable chairs - so this made relaxing even better. The breakfast was good but the fresh baguettes from the local bakery were outstanding.

Most hotels have a small coffee machine with real coffee - they only had instant coffee so this was a small disappointment. In other hotels that accept dogs, dog bed and/or a drinking bowl is provided but we did not expect this actually and it did not affect our excellent impression of this historic hotel. It is just a suggestion. We only had one set of towels in the room but I am sure this was just an oversight from the hotel room service. All in all, everything was perfect.

‘Very good’, however, the hotel spams you repeatedly with long emails in French (how about english?) about saving energy, ‘demanding’ you fill in a survey and if you dont, they just assume you agree and give one towel for 2 people. Very arrogant and it has only to do with saving money for the hotel.

The history behind it and the beauty of the castle and its surroundings. Also, the towel heater in the bathroom! Room size was great after upgrading to the suite, we had a beautiful terrace.

The food in the restaurant was not as good as advertised or expected, but overall okay.

We have stayed here before and was disappointed with the breakfast, we skipped it this time. We had to check out and leave quite early so we could get our car out - before the market started and the road was blocked. This was clearly explained though and is not the fault of the hotel.

Amazing restaurant, always packed at night. Reception Helped me through my experience of breaking down at the toll booth. Amazing friendly staff went out of their way to help a guest. Brilliant. Even talked to the tow truck company and the garage and gave he a lift to the garage. Best hotel experience in France.

Comfortable good sized room with queen sized bed and over bath shower. Absolutely fantastic location (right in the centre of the old town). Restaurant well appointed, food of high quality and prices reasonable. Staff very friendly and attentive - not always the case in France and nothing was too much trouble.

Very tight parking spaces in front of the hotel. There is an overflow car park though which we discovered upon leaving. Noisey family woke us at 2AM - but that wasn't the hotel's fault.
